Chapter 852 - 851: Sick (3)
Chapter 852: Chapter 851: Sick (3)
"It’s okay, quite a few people have misunderstood before," Bella Acker smiled nonchalantly.
Dr. Miller also smiled, not continuing the topic. He thought to himself, seeing the way you interact, it’s easy to misunderstand.
Especially since Mr. Sinclair called to book the doctor, directly saying it was for his daughter, and then when the little girl woke up, she called her mommy.
Isn’t it clear that they are a family of three?
Bella Acker stopped talking to Dr. Miller, stroked the little girl’s cheek, and gently asked, "Talia, are you feeling a little better now?"
"Yeah, much better, Mommy don’t worry," the little girl showed a cute smile, and comforted her instead.
Bella Acker’s eyes immediately reddened, "I’m sorry, Mommy didn’t take good care of you."
If it wasn’t for the serious illness in the past, the little girl wouldn’t have damaged her health, causing her to get sick so easily now.
"Mommy don’t cry, Talia’s okay," the little girl lifted her little hand and gently patted Bella Acker’s forehead.
From a young age, she was clever and understanding, knowing Bella Acker worked hard to raise her alone, she learned to dress herself, brush her teeth, and manage her own life from a very young age.
Bella Acker sometimes felt gratified by the girl’s understanding, but sometimes felt heartache.
Children growing up in a carefree environment, who would be so sensible at three or four years old, understanding how to share adult’s stress?
Bella Acker gritted her teeth to hold back tears, leaned over to give a kiss on the girl’s cheek, and said, "Talia, you get better soon, Mommy won’t cry then."
"Hmm, Talia will get better soon."
Bella Acker smiled, "Once you’re well, shall we sign up for a martial arts class? Dr. Miller said you need to exercise so you won’t get sick like this in the future."
"Alright, Talia won’t get sick, Mommy won’t worry then. Talia will go learn martial arts," the little girl agreed sensibly and obediently.
Listening to her saying such things, Bella Acker almost couldn’t hold back her tears.
Damian Sinclair returned with the nurse holding the infusion bottle, Dr. Miller said, "Ms. Acker, take the child to the infusion room for the IV drip first."
"Okay." Bella Acker wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes with her fingers, preparing to pick up the little girl.
Damian Sinclair stepped forward, "Let me." He said while picking up the little girl, also freeing one hand to hold Bella Acker’s hand.
Bella Acker was startled, instinctively struggled a bit and looked up at him.
But Damian Sinclair held her tightly, apparently not intending to let go of her.
His gaze was deep, the kind that, no matter how hard Bella Acker tried before, she couldn’t decipher the emotions, but at this moment, for some reason, she suddenly understood.
He also felt guilty. Apart from feeling guilty for taking Talia out to play without realizing her frail condition, causing her to catch a cold, he also felt guilty for not being there with them all those years.
Bella Acker looked at his gaze and finally stopped struggling, following him to take the little girl to the infusion room.
After the nurse hung the IV bottle, she went to attend to other tasks. Damian Sinclair kept the little girl in his arms, holding Bella Acker’s hand tightly without letting go.
"Never again," after a long while, Damian Sinclair said in a deep voice.
No matter what happens in the future, he will be with them, never leaving them again.
Bella Acker bit her lower lip, the tears she had been holding back burst forth, drop by drop falling on their clasped hands.
