Chapter 854: Chapter 853: Reunion with Vivian Norris (2)
Since the last car accident, Vivian Norris was detained for six months, and Bella Acker hasn’t seen her since.
Afterwards, she occasionally saw some marginal news about Vivian Norris online, but they all said she looked haggard and wasn’t doing well.
The things of the past are past; it’s been so many years, and since then there was no interaction, Bella Acker no longer felt the same disgust for Vivian Norris.
So now seeing Vivian Norris in this state, she had no particular reaction.
Vivian Norris stood at the hospital room door, looking Bella Acker over, suddenly smiled and said, "You’re doing well now, that makes me feel a bit better. I really didn’t mean for that car accident to happen back then."
"I know." Bella Acker said: "It’s been so many years, you’ve already been punished, I no longer hold it against you."
"Yes, it’s been so many years." Vivian Norris sighed and said, "I wonder if I was really standing too high back then, with the clouds blinding my eyes, making me oblivious to who I was. But these past few years, I’ve seen a lot of things clearly and understood many people. The warmth and coldness of human relationships, what once felt so chilling, now seems to matter less. Bella Acker, I did many things against you back then, and since we met here today, I’m sincerely apologizing to you. I’m not asking for your forgiveness, just some peace of mind for myself, since there might not be another chance to meet again."
Vivian Norris gave a self-mocking smile, her expression full of weariness.
"What illness do you have? Is there no one taking care of you?" Bella Acker looked into the hospital room and found that there was no one inside.
"I’m alone now, who’s going to take care of me?"
"Where’s your assistant?" Bella Acker frowned slightly.
"Two years ago, when my contract expired, the company terminated it, so how would I have an assistant?" Vivian Norris said, leaning against the hospital door, coughing violently.
"Then it’s inconvenient to be hospitalized alone; why didn’t you get a nurse?"
"It doesn’t matter, I’m alone either way, whether I live or die makes no difference," Vivian Norris said, "I’m not talking to you anymore, I’m going to the bathroom."
Vivian Norris said while supporting herself against the wall, walking out of the hospital room bit by bit, her legs trembling as she walked, appearing very weak.
Sure enough, after only a few steps against the wall, she staggered, almost falling.
Bella Acker took two steps forward to support her arm, Vivian Norris looked up at her with some surprise.
"Wait here, I’ll call the nurse to remove the IV," Bella Acker sighed, released her, and jogged to the nurse’s station to explain the situation, then jogged back.
Vivian Norris stood in place waiting, looking surprised and puzzled to see her really returning, "Aren’t you supposed to hate me?"
Bella Acker held her hand and said faintly, "For someone who has nothing to do with my life, why would I hate her? Wouldn’t that be a waste of my energy and time?"
Vivian Norris was momentarily stunned, "Bella Acker, sometimes I really can’t understand what kind of person you are. If I say you’re a pushover, you also scheme and retaliate, and sometimes you have a sharp tongue. But if I say you’re mean and vengeful, you don’t provoke anyone, and it seems once things are over, you don’t really hold grudges. Why are you so strange?"
"What’s so strange about it?" Bella Acker gave her a sidelong glance, "If others bully me, of course I’ll bully them back. If others are good to me, I’ll be good to them too, it’s that simple."
