What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?
Chapter 1557: Club Recruitment Week
In the end, I told them that I would consider it and they left looking like I had promised them the moon or something.
As long as they were happy with that I guess.
Well... Now I know that there are people who are on that side of the aisle where they want to get close to me... Either because of their apparent attraction to me as Aster, or because of their idea of getting close to me as the heir of the Nilm Family...
Guess I should prepare myself for either case.
Anyway... There’s another thing that was happening this week which was the fact that clubs would be recruiting members from the new students to join their group.
That’s why they were going to hold a festival that would run for the last three days of this week where first year students can interact and check out the clubs in the school to see which ones they should join.
It’s not a necessity to join of course, but being in a club would also grant you more resources for your studies as you can learn from your seniors. And if it’s magic related, you could also use those resources to study your magic too.
Not only that, there would also be various Circles that were recruiting members too. From what I heard, my girls have already been approached multiple times at this point but they turned down all of them, of course.
Surprisingly, I was the only one who didn’t get any invitation from any of the Circles.
I wasn’t sure if the reason for that was because they didn’t like me or I was too big of a risk for them to invite me to their group.
Either way, it didn’t really matter anyway since we already intended to form our own Circle and had no intentions of joining anyone else.
On the first day of the club recruitment festival, the entire school had undergone a complete change.
There were stalls scattered all around the school everywhere you went with most of them being concentrated around the bazaar area.
That was apparently the prime location for the clubs and I heard the clubs even went out to compete with each other to secure the spots around that area.
But apparently they were allowed to set up almost anywhere so you could still see stalls set up outside classroom buildings and even out on the path towards the dorms, with the next hot spot being the area outside the teleportation arrays.
I was with my girls, all of us moving as a group to check out all the clubs that were trying to recruit new members to join them.
"Aster! This is amazing! There’s so many people!" Delmare squeaked, my Siren’s arm wrapped tightly around mine while she looked around the bazaar in wonder.
I couldn’t help but giggle at her words, "Oh Delmare, we see all of these people on our daily walk to classes too. Though I guess it feels like there’s more people now since most of them are gathered here instead of being spread out around the school."
Delmare blushed and hid her face on my shoulder, rubbing her cheek against it cutely.
"Oooohh! There it is, Aster! Look! Look! We should totally join that club!" Lisa cried out, tugging on my sleeve.
I turned to see what she was pointing at, only to see there was a stall there with a sign that said ’Orgy Club’ which I honestly have to blame myself for expecting anything else when it came to Lisa so I went ahead to spank her ass with my tail.
Although I wonder just what kind of club is that? Do the members just meet up and have sex in the club room or something? What even is the point of that club?
Ignoring that, the other clubs that have set up stalls around the bazaar were a big mix of different hobbies, interests and other focuses.
There’s one that was focused on alchemy, one that was focused on debating, one that was focused on finding the perfect circle, another that was focused on finding the perfect place to have sex in the Academy... Yeah I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn’t seeing things for the last one.
There were also other clubs that I was confused about why there were clubs set up for what they were focused on.
Like there were clubs for learning Pyromancy, Hydromancy and the other magic elements. Why do you need clubs for that when there were already classes for those subjects?
As if reading my mind, Katsuki answered for me, "Mistress... They are hobby clubs meant for mages who want to practice and discuss that specific magic with other mages to better improve their proficiency in that magic. It also serves as a place for mages who wish to try out that particular element first before they decide if they would commit to learning it. Some students in those clubs also use it as a place to practice teaching others as they intend to graduate and become a teacher in those subjects as well."
Huh... That’s more complicated than I thought...
Good for them I guess?
Aside from those clubs, there were also more ’normal’ clubs too like sports clubs which... Err... I guess would be considered normal in Erednay since it’s things like jousting, sword duels, magic duels, archery duels and other combat related interest groups.
There were at least also some ball games which unfortunately... I did not see one where it involved people flying on broomsticks to throw balls inside a ring up in the air. I’m more surprised that there weren’t any Off-Worlders who tried to form a club around that.
But there were still some sports that do involve aerial sports but I couldn’t really understand them at first glance and I wasn’t interested enough to go find out more anyway.
One reason for that was because I already have my schedule packed with classes so unless it was a club that really got my attention, I wasn’t going to take note of it.
I was expecting my girls to show interest in some of them but... It doesn’t look like any of the stalls around the bazaar got their attention at all.
I guess they weren’t really interested in things like volleyball and a magical version of tennis either.
Putting the clubs aside, I found that the people around were clearing a noticeable space around us wherever we walked as people would step out of our way and would stare at us as we walked past.
Conversely, the people manning some of the stalls seem to have no problems approaching us.
"Hey there! Lady Aster right? Could I interest you in joining the noble’s research club? I’m sure you will fit right in!"
"Lady Aster! Don’t listen to them! We at the white hair club would welcome you into our group!"
"Miss Aster! How about you and your group consider joining the sky watching club? We guarantee you won’t be disappointed!"
"Aster! Join the thighs club! Please!! We really need someone like you!"
It’s like these guys are so desperate for new members that they would resort to anything just to get them.
Thankfully, Odeta kept them at bay with her presence so they didn’t actually swarm us and anyone that tried got a glare from her which made them retreat quickly.
Eventually, all of us decided that these clubs that were set up around the bazaar was of no interest to us so we left the place and just started walking down the path, letting our feet guide us instead.
"There’s really so many weird clubs there..." Minnera commented, her hands still sketching in her sketchbook despite the fact that we were walking. "I’m surprised there isn’t an art club though."
Lilith perked up, "I think there is one, but they aren’t as popular as you might think, since instead of one big club that encompasses art, it’s split into multiple smaller clubs for each interest instead."
"That sounds completely unnecessarily complicated."
The demoness shrugged, "I’m not the one who decided it."
Ira looked around before letting out a scoff, "I still think all of this is just a complete waste of time. Why do we even need to care about any of this?"
Tsara sighed, "Don’t you understand? That’s precisely what they’re for. It’s for people to use their time to pursue an interest or subject to pass the time."
I turned to the girls, "Are there any clubs you might be interested in? If there is, you girls can join them, you know?"
Odeta turned to me with a grin, "I want to be in the same club as you, Sister Aster! Wahahaha!"
I smiled, "There’s no need for that. If you find one that you are interested in, you girls can just go ahead and join it even if I’m not there. I think it’s good to branch out after all."
Emilia giggled, "Nyahaha~ None of them are interesting if you aren’t there, Boss!"
Well... That’s not a good thing to thi--
"Lady Aster!!" A voice brought me out of my thoughts.
I turned around and before I knew it, someone was flying towards me in a dropkick position.
What the heck?!
