All of us stepped outside and I found the arena to be a rectangular platform with four pillars on each corner.

Inscribed on the pillars were runes which I assumed gave it the enchantment to protect the people within the arena from seriously hurting each other.

"Evelyne enchanted this herself. It’s a work of art, I tell you," Valuria boasted proudly, as if she had been the one to enchant it instead.

I turned to look at the Auto who looked a little shy as she fiddled with her fingers before brushing her hair to pretend like she didn’t really care about the compliment.

Looking back at the pillars, the enchantments certainly look impressively done.

From what I could understand from reading the runes thanks to Isre’s blessing, I could tell that one of the enchantments in effect were basically turning the space inside the pillar into a dream of sorts.

Instead of the usual enchantment where you would either teleport the person within the platform outside when they suffer a lethal hit, this one turned the space into a dream type space where the people within would fight it out within an illusory space instead.

That means you can go as hard as you want against your opponent and they would suffer no damage in real life.

The downside to that enchantment is that your senses would be dulled slightly so you won’t really be at your full capabilities. Though it might also be seen as a plus because it’s basically a handicap placed on you that you would need to get used to.

Aside from that, there’s also the enchantment of sending the person who has been lethally hit to ’wake up’ from the illusory space and appear outside of the platform.

As for the people outside, they would be able to see what was happening inside the arena as if it was like a three dimensional projection on top of the platform and they don’t need to worry about the attacks from inside hitting them since the fight would be happening inside the illusory world anyway.

"Those are really impressive enchantments," I praised honestly, feeling impressed by how she managed to create it.

Evelyne snapped her gaze to me, "You... You can tell what the enchantments are? How?"

I blinked at her, "Well... I mean... There’s those runes on the pillars?"

"You can read the runes?!"

"Ah... Umm... Is that not normal?"

Liareu tilted her head at me, "That’s odd... If I remember correctly... Last we checked, you were not enrolled in any enchanting classes, are you? Lady Aster?"

I shook my head, "That’s correct. I am not studying enchanting. In fact, I’m not even proficient in enchanting."

"In that case... You sound like you already know what kind of enchantments are etched into the pillar?"

Ah... Err... I guess the fact that I knew the enchantments without being proficient in enchanting is pretty weird, isn’t it?

Do I really have to reveal Isre’s blessing here?

Oh wait, I didn’t say that I knew what enchantments they were, did I?

I cleared my throat, "Ahem... What I mean is that I felt the magic coming from the pillars and they certainly feel quite impressive, that’s all."

The seven of them nodded their heads in understanding, completely buying my bullshit about the magic thing.

I decided to change the topic before they could get suspicious of me and gestured towards the arena, "Anyway... Shall we?"

Valuria grinned at me and nodded, "After you, Lady Aster!"

I stored my egg away and stepped up to the arena.

The moment my foot touched the platform, I felt like I was pushing through a thin layer of air and the scenery changed.

I was now standing in what looked like an open field with the field itself stretching endlessly in all directions with nothing else around me.

Valuria appeared a moment later and she looked around before settling her gaze on me.

"How’s that? Impressive, isn’t it?" She chuckled.

I nodded, "Very impressive. It looks like there’s no end to how far it goes?"

"That’s right. It’s literally endless so we can run and fight as far as we want. It’s basically an alternate dimension!"

I shuddered slightly, recalling my not so distant history with a certain god that created a dimension just to get Hiandoca’s attention but massively failing so.

"This space isn’t linked to another space... Is it?" I asked.

She blinked, "What does that mean?"

"Like... It’s not connected to some horror dimension, is it?"

"Eh? Why would that be the case? You have a very interesting imagination, Lady Aster."

Whatever... I don’t feel like explaining to her anyway...

I moved a short distance away from her before turning back, "So... How should we do this? Just with fists or..."

She reached out to materialise her spear and spun it in her grasp, "Oh, I think we should just take this fight seriously, Lady Aster. Come at me with the intent to kill."

Well... If she says so...

I pulled out both my Light Sword and Shadow Sword, though at the moment it should look like I was only wielding my Light Sword to her, and angled myself such that my Light Sword was pointed directly at her at an angle.

She grinned and took that as the cue to start as she leapt towards me without warning.

Her figure blurred towards me and I found her spear thrusting straight at my face in an instant, almost like it had teleported to me.

I deftly parried it away with my Light Sword so that the spear would pierce through empty air to the side of my head instead, allowing me to follow up with a pommel strike aimed at Valuria’s abdomen.

She twisted the spear and blocked it with the handle before leaping back, spinning on her heel to whip her spear around in an attempt to strike the side of my face with the butt end of her spear.

I leaned back to avoid it while also letting a bolt of [Static Bolt] shoot out towards her, aiming to paralyse her.

She grinned at me and showed off her own Electromancy proficiency as well by shooting her own [Static Bolt] to counter it, both spells hitting each other in the middle and cancelling each other out.

I then charged in, swinging my Light Sword at her left flank which forced her to raise her spear to block my blade.

I got her exactly where I wanted her as I swung my other hand towards her, which should look like an empty hand since my Shadow Sword was currently invisible.

Valuria also looked confused at first but she suddenly leapt back, allowing only the invisible blade to graze her cheek.

Hmm... If I had been a bit faster, I would have at least sliced her neck... I see the dulled senses are preventing me from moving as fast as I wanted while in this space...

But I suppose the same thing goes for her as well so the result might still be the same.

Valuria reached up and touched where my blade had cut her, before smirking at me.

"You’re really something, Lady Aster... An invisible blade? And even with this space dulling my senses... You hid your blade intent well."

I couldn’t help but smile at her, "I met someone else who also managed to detect my invisible blade because of the blade intent. I figured if I were to just imagine myself swinging my fist instead, I would be able to hide that."

She then lowered herself into a thrusting stance with her spear, "Very clever, Lady Aster... But let’s see you handle this!"

The tip of her spear shot out a bolt of lightning towards me, which I suspect was an enchantment of the spear itself and not her magic.

I crossed my swords and activated both of their enchantments, which seemed to have been the right choice as the lightning struck my blades harder than a normal lightning would and I was sent skidding back a few feet.

She tried to rush towards me so I poured in more mana into my Light Sword to extend its reach and sliced it towards her, cleaving through the space that she would have been had she not stopped at the last second and jumped back to avoid it.

I then swung my Shadow Sword as well, cleaving the ground in front of me to create a wall of flames to keep her from attempting to rush me again.

And with the time I bought... I decided to try and use [Big Bang] for the first time in a practical setting.

I gathered the spell in my palm and I guess Valuria must have sensed something big was coming and decided that she would rush through the flames anyway and leapt up into the air, trying to attack me from above.

But that gave me a perfect target as I shot the spell up towards the air at her.

She saw the spell coming and instead of panicking, she moved her spear to intercept the spell, the tip of the spear thrusting forward at it.

Both clashed against each other and the moment the spell detonated, everything around me went white.

...

I didn’t kill anyone did I?
