Chapter 1560: Aerialla Academy Student Council

So I became a probationary member of the Student Council.

They told me that I didn’t need to stay and I could just leave for the day but since my girls would be looking around the place at the other clubs, I decided to stay and observe how they work.

The Student Council consisted of seven key members occupying the head positions within the Council with more sub committees under each of them that occupy specific areas related to managing the school.

The first person was, of course, the Student Council President herself, Liareu von Alysant, eldest daughter of the Alysant Ducal family. She’s quite a powerful mage herself and she specialises in Lumenmancy and Clairvoyance and she became the Student Council President when she was in her fifth year.

Directly under her was the Vice President, a male Meslatar sixth year student named Kaelar Drakhar who is the eldest son of a warrior family from the Republic of Modgnik. Apparently his father was some military big shot or something and he came here to polish his skills in Pyromancy and his Martial skills to take over his father after his graduation.

He had red scales and horns and... He had a pretty intense stare as well, watching me like he was sizing me up or something which I suspect was his Meslatar nature warning him about another Meslatar. At least I think that was the reason...

The next person was the Secretary Evelyn who was a fifth year student and an Auto, which I was very surprised to learn because I thought she was a Mahun at first. She had a face that could show expressions and her body looked like skin and flesh.

It was only then I realised that there were small gaps in her ’skin’ which showed the gears moving underneath and her face looked more metallic upon closer inspection.

Apparently she had quite the talent with focusing on minute details which allowed her to create this body, which also helped with the fact that she was also a very talented student in Chronomancy and Enchanting and also with the secretarial duties of her position.

The next person was kind of a surprise, seeing that she was a Fox named Mirabelle Gold, the race where they are very seclusive and their members very rarely mix with the outside world.

She was a fifth year student and had golden hair and had six tails which I think I would have done anything to touch... If I already didn’t have Katsuki’s tails that I could touch and fluff anytime I wanted.

She occupied the position of being the Council’s Treasurer and her main areas of study within the Academy were Enchanting, Alchemy and Geomancy.

After her was the Amrap I had already met, the sixth year Amrap known as Valuria Ironfang.

She occupied the position of the Student Council’s head of the Disciplinary Committee and she specialises in Electromancy and using the spear.

Needless to say, she also shared the same desire as Odeta when it came to fighting and she still wants to schedule a spar with me which I suppose I don’t mind giving after things settle down.

The next member was the Rizzie that I had met when I first entered the room, a fifth year student named Liora Moonpetal. She’s also really excitable and friendly which made me wonder if it was common for Rizzies to be like this since most of the ones I’ve met also acted like this.

For her in particular, she specialised in Iatromancy and Kalomancy and I overheard that she had tamed quite big monsters using her Kalomancy which made it detrimental for anyone who underestimated her because of her size.

As for her role in the Student Council, she was the Student Welfare Representative and oversaw things related to the safety and wellbeing of the students within the Academy.

The last and seventh member of the Student Council was a male Dark Trasif fourth year student named Cassian Nightwhisper.

Just like other Trasifs, he looked quite effeminate and I had to ask to make sure that he was a male and not a female Trasif.

He worked as the Student Council’s Events and Activities Coordinator and also specialises in Umbramancy and Somatomancy, the latter making me wonder if he had used it to change his looks to look more feminine.

"And that’s everyone in the Student Council," Liareu finished the introductions, gesturing towards the others who had taken a moment out of their work to greet me.

I curtsied with my egg held in one of my arms, "Well met, everyone. As you already know, I am Aster. I look forward to working with all of you."

Liareu smiled at me, "There’s no need to be so formal. You’re one of us now, even if it’s just a provisionary position for now."

Mirabelle giggled from her desk, her right leg crossing over her left as she propped up her chin on her hand while her six tails waved lazily behind her, "Fufufu~ She’s a cute one isn’t she?"

Liora flew around in the air, "She’s nice! She feels nice! It feels like I’m in the forest while I’m with her!"

Ah... That would be Drebann’s blessing I believe... I hope she doesn’t figure that out...

I decided to change the topic to divert their attention, "So what are my duties as the provisional member of the Student Council?"

Liareu gestured towards me, "Normally, you would work your way up by starting as a runner for us to learn the ropes and familiarise yourself with the other committees. But I think you are too valuable of an asset to be used for such menial tasks."

She then gestured towards Vice President Kaelar who was still staring at me like he couldn’t decide if I was a threat or not.

I really wonder if he just wanted to spar with me like Valuria did or I somehow insulted him and he wanted me dead. I couldn’t really tell which way he swung just with how he was staring at me.

"Kaelar, do you have any position that needs help right now that she would be able to fill in for? Something that we could have her help out with and let her see how the Student Council works?"

The red Meslatar paused for a moment before turning to the Dark Trasif, "Cassian... You mentioned that you needed more hands for the event, right?"

Cassian chuckled before giving me a smirk, "Well... It’s more of Valuria’s area though. There’s been more first years this year and we need more people walking security but the Enforcer Committee is stretched thin keeping everyone in check. Maybe you should ask her instead?"

Valuria clasped her hands together, "Oh! Yes! Yes! I will take any help I can get! The students are more unruly this year so my team is running ragged to deal with fights breaking out all around the Academy throughout the day! If Lady Aster is up for it, I will gladly welcome the help! Just... After confirming one thing of course."

I tilted my head at her, "What is it?"

She grinned and pulled out her spear from seemingly thin air, "A spar of course! I have to test out how strong you are to know if you can handle yourself!"

Several of the Student Council members sighed, most likely also figuring out that she was only using this as an excuse to have a fight with me.

Not that I mind but... She can’t be thinking of having a fight here in this room, right?

Liareu sighed, "You can turn her down if you wish, Lady Aster... But if you intend to go with it... We have an arena at the back that we use for practice duels. It’s enchanted so you can go as hard as you like there."

Well... I would be lying if I said I wasn’t at least curious about how she would fight.

Sure, she basically got owned by Odeta but I would say it was not a fair fight between them since she had been targeting me and Odeta came as a surprise.

And despite being smashed into the ground by Odeta, she got back up looking like she had simply just fallen over without taking much damage so I want to see how a senior would fight.

I nodded, "Very well."

Valuria leapt to her feet, "Alright! Let’s go then! There’s no time to lose!"

Liareu tapped her finger on the table before standing up as well, "I suppose we might as well take a break as well."

The rest of the Student Council also got up and it seemed like we would be getting an audience for our spar.

Well... I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that they all wanted to take a look at what their new member could do.

Now the question is... How serious should I take this spar with her?
