I told Valuria that I will at least check them out before making a decision and that seemed to satisfy her.

She wanted to show me what the Student Council does and thought that it might help me make up my mind on whether I should join them or not.

Initially, I rejected the idea since that would mean I had to split up with the girls but surprisingly, my girls were very insistent that I join the Student Council and thus encouraged me to go with her.

I agreed under the condition that they would not hold back as well and spend the time to look at other clubs on their own and join whatever clubs that caught their eye instead of worrying about being with me all the time.

I love them all of course but I honestly felt that they should spread their wings a little and explore on their own as well, especially if they have the chance to explore their own interests.

My girls didn’t really agree to the idea at first but eventually came round to it after I pointed out how they would be able to interact with more students and potentially help me with my Student Council work, assuming I join them of course, by acting as my eyes and ears in other clubs.

Thus, I left them to look around the stalls to find a club that might interest them while I went with Valuria to head towards the Student Council.

Apparently, the Student Council room was located on another floating island instead of being on the main island, with the Student Council President being the ’owner’ of the island.

I wondered if it was necessary for them to have an island of their own since I thought the Student Council would be operating more on administrative matters and having an island to themselves felt like a needless luxury... But what do I know?

I stepped off the teleportation platform and looked around the island that I had appeared on, realising that it looked more like a manor than anything else.

The red headed Amrap chuckled at me when she saw me looking up at the three story manor inside of a gated garden area.

"Heh~ The building serves not only as the headquarters for the Student Council but also as the location for the other subsidiary groups that support the Student Council. The Enforcer Committee being one of them and the Student Affairs Committee being another."

I paused before tilting my head at her, "Those two... I believe they also tried to recruit me as well... Would this be a problem?"

She shook her head, "It’s not like you’ve joined them right? Then there’s no problem. If you accept our invitation, you would be a member within the Student Council and oversee the supporting groups."

"What’s the difference?"

"Ah, I think I would let the president tell you instead. We’re already here anyway~"

She guided me through the garden and up to the main entrance of the building where there were no guards in sight.

Not that I think there should be any to begin with since this is still within a school and this is basically a student-led group, not some official company or something...

Stepping through the doors, I realised this was really a manor house that had been redesigned to have its rooms turned into offices and meeting rooms to serve the council’s purposes.

"This island used to belong to one of the top students who graduated," Valuria explained while leading me up the stairs. "Long before, the Student Council operated on the main island inside one of the spare meeting rooms in one of the Academy buildings. But one of the Student Council Presidents reached the top of his year and got an island for his own usage so he decided to turn it into his home but also as a place that the Student Council could work from."

She led us past the second floor where there were several students moving along the corridor, some of them looking at me in surprise when I appeared while others simply gave me a nod in greeting as Valuria continued up towards the third floor.

She continued, "He had then requested to the Chancellor at that time before he graduated to make this place a permanent place for the Student Council’s use which was granted, so this became the location where the Student Council will meet for our duties."

Interesting.

We eventually reached a large double door which Valuria pushed open without bothering to knock, revealing a large study room that was practically the size of a lecture hall though only a few people occupied its interior.

There was a meeting table that could sit twelve people and several desks at the side, each currently occupied with a person seated behind it.

And at the back of the room was a large table with a high backed chair, no doubt where the Student Council President was supposed to sit and it was currently occupied.

Seated in that high backed chair was a female Mahun with light purple hair with a black robe wrapped around her shoulders, signifying her status as a sixth year student.

Incidentally, Valuria was also wearing a black robe but the others in the room had a mix of different colours so not everyone here was a sixth year student.

We only managed to take five steps into the room before an excitable voice came from one of the Council members.

"Ahh! Valuria! Ehehe~ Welcome back! Hello, hello! Did you manage to-- Oh! Is that her? Hello! Hello!!"

The voice belonged to a rather excitable Rizzie as she flew over to us, her voice drawing the attention of the others in the room to us.

Valuria waved at the Rizzie with a grin on her face, "Hey Liora! That’s right, she’s the one. Impressive isn’t she?"

Err... I’m not sure what is impressive about me when I’m pretty sure I’m just the same like everyone else here...

The Rizzie flew over to me excitedly, reminding me of a certain Rizzie that was also managing the dorm that I was staying in.

"Hello, hello! Nice to meet you! Lady Aster, right?! I’m Liora! I’m in charge of Student Welfare! Nice to meet you!"

I blinked at her, "Ah... Hello Liora."

"Ehehehe~ You’re nice! Nicer than what the rumours said about you! I knew those rumours can’t be trusted!"

Finally, the woman with the light purple hair spoke up from behind her desk, "That’s enough Liora, you’re disturbing our potential new member. Lady Aster, please do take a seat."

She gestured towards the chair that Valuria had brought out to place in front of her,

The Rizzie giggled and flew around me one more time before flying back to her desk, which I realised had a miniature version on top of the normal table just for her.

I went over to the chair and sat down, the girl behind the desk watching me with her hands clasped in front of her silently.

She waited for me to be seated before she finally spoke, "Welcome, Lady Aster. I am the President of the Student Council, Liareu von Alysant. I have already heard many things about you, even though you’ve only been in the Academy for less than a month."

Alysant... Great... Another noble then... And I’m already regretting not bringing Katsuki along...

Wait... Oh my gods... I’m so stupid...

I looked down at my [Ring of Shared Thoughts], something that I have already just subconsciously tagged as our engagement ring and not an actual artefact with enchantments that allowed my girls and I to talk telepathically.

’Katsuki,’ I called out through my mind.

’Mistress. I am here.,’ She answered immediately.

’House Alysant...’

’A Duke household within the Lehcarouc Kingdom, Mistress. Our family is on good terms with them. They have employed a few of our maids within their household. I believe their eldest daughter is currently the... Ah, you are in front of Lady Liareu von Alysant, aren’t you, Mistress? She’s the eldest daughter of the family.’

Ehehehehe~ I looooove you so much Katsuki! I’m gonna give you all the head pats and tail fluffing you want later~

I inclined my head slightly at Liareu, "Well met. I assume you brought me here to convince me to join the Student Council?"

She nodded her head, "That’s right. I understand that you have at least some interest in joining us but you are still undecided so I’m offering you an opportunity to participate as a temporary member of the Student Council to see our work. Perhaps after experiencing it for yourself, you might be interested in joining us."

"And if I’m not?"

She shrugged, "Then you can leave, there is no pressure from us to force you to join us if you don’t want to."

"You barely know me though. Are you not afraid I might destroy the Council’s reputation?"

I mean... I’m trying to act as a villainess after all...

She smiled at me, "That’s a risk we will accept and deal with if it comes to pass. So what do you say?"

Well... I guess it’s worth a shot? At least... I’ll decide after seeing what they do for myself.
