What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?
Chapter 1563: First Day As An Enforcer
We stepped off the teleportation platform and I found myself in the plaza behind the bazaar.
Even here, there were probably hundreds, if not thousands, of students all gathered around the area, most of them being first year students looking at clubs that were currently trying to recruit for new members.
Valuria turned to me and raised an eyebrow, "Are you going to just keep carrying that around? What even is that?"
I looked at the egg in my hands, "It’s my egg."
"Your... Egg?"
"Yes. Just so we’re clear, I did not birth the egg. I got it from a Dungeon. But it might as well have been mine."
"Hmm... So you’re really just going to carry it around?"
"As you saw earlier during our spar, I could store it whenever I want to. It will not hinder me if a fight occurs."
She made a humming noise of acknowledgement but I guess she didn’t really care that much about the origin of my egg to begin with so she didn’t ask any further about it.
We moved towards the plaza to join the crowd and I noticed that people were giving us a wide berth when they saw us.
I wondered why they were doing so until their whispers drifted to my ears.
"That’s Aster isn’t it?"
"Yeah... The rumoured heir of the Nilm Family..."
"I’m surprised she’s still walking around after a lie like that... Don’t the Nilm Family take liars seriously?"
"I mean... We’re in the Aerialla Academy... Pretty far away from Crown Capital City don’t you think?"
"I doubt the distance is an issue to them."
"That’s why I think she’s the real one..."
"Wait, that armband..."
"No way... She’s joined the Enforcer Committee?"
"No, no... Do you see who she’s with? That’s Valuria Ironfang! She’s the head of the Disciplinary Committee! She’s part of the Student Council!"
"Damn... I guess that makes sense... She’s practically guaranteed the best student of the year at this point. How the heck can anyone even compete with her?"
"Guys... I think we should be more concerned about the fact that the Enforcers are here..."
"What? Why? What do you mean?"
"You don’t know? Shit... Just keep your heads down and stay out of their way..."
Why are they talking like we were going to just beat them up for no reason? Also... I’m not sure if I should be glad that they are now fearing me because of the position of the Enforcer and not because it’s me...
Are Enforcers even scarier than I was?
Then again... I guess I haven’t been going around beating people up for no reason while the Enforcers are tasked to beat people up if they deem them to be disruptive...
And as if to demonstrate that fact to me...
A short distance away, two third year students seem to be locked in a heated exchange.
"You! I told you people from the Cloud Watchers Club not to set up near us!"
"You don’t get to decide what we can do! You people from the Moons Watchers Club think you’re so special all the time!"
"Oh?! So you want to go?! Bring it! I’ll beat your ass, you punk!"
"You think I’m scared of you?!"
Both of them rolled up their sleeves but neither of them could even pull back their fists before someone else suddenly appeared beside them.
I realised that was a fourth year Rejmar student and he also had the red armband secured on his arm.
Despite his shorter stature, both the students paled the moment they saw him and they looked like they wanted to run away at that point.
Unfortunately for them, the Rejmar Enforcer moved faster than they could and punched them both in the abdomen, causing them to double over before the Rejmar grabbed the back of their heads and smashed them against each other, knocking them out.
The Rejmar then dusted his hands and looked around, spotting the members that belonged to the clubs of each of the knocked out seniors.
"Get them out of here you dumbwits!" He roared, prompting them to rush forward to pick up their unconscious club members before running off.
So the Enforcers really just beat up troublemakers like that huh...
The Rejmar spotted us, or more accurately, spotted Valuria and walked over towards us.
He gave Valuria a salute, "Head. Surprised you’re here. I didn’t think the place was that bad to warrant your personal attention."
Valuria smirked, "Oh, I’m just showing our newest member what we do here. I figured we need all the help we can get these few days after all."
The Rejmar finally noticed my presence and turned to me, only for his eyes to widen when he realised who I was and then widened even more when he saw the red armband on me.
To his credit, he managed to recover pretty quickly and schooled his face back to normal.
"I see. Should I be offering my congratulations?" He asked, turning back to Valuria.
Valuria grinned, "Ha! She hasn’t accepted the invitation yet though! Lady Aster is a provisionary member for now! But treat her like you would a permanent member!"
The Rejmar nodded, "Understood. Best of luck to ya then."
He then left us to walk back towards the crowd where I realised another Enforcer, this one being a fourth year Mahun, had been waiting the entire time.
He also gave us both a courteous nod before he turned and followed beside the Rejmar to continue their patrol.
Quite a number of students looked in our direction but quickly averted their gazes and pretended to be busy.
Valuria gestured for us to continue walking so I followed behind her, the Amrap already scanning the crowd to look for more trouble to deal with.
"If you see anything, don’t hesitate to take action on your own, Lady Aster. Just take this as your assessment as well on how you would handle problems too~"
Well... That means she’s giving me blanket permission to just be the villain then~
We didn’t have to walk very far before we found ourselves looking at another altercation between several students.
This time, it looked like three different clubs were fighting to recruit one particular student.
"No! She belongs to our club!! Our Light Music Club deserves her talent more!"
"You don’t even have a position for her! Our Theatre club can use her talent more!"
"If anyone has any argument about who can use her talent more, it’s obviously our Choir Club!! Neither of you can compare!!"
"Oh yeah?! I’ll fight you for her!"
"Bring it on, bitch!"
"You think I’m scared of you?!"
Just by hearing their conversations, I had a feeling I knew who they were fighting over.
Sure enough, when we got to where the argument was happening, I found Delmare standing in the middle of three senior students looking nervous and concerned.
Valuria smirked at the sight, though it was clear she didn’t know that the person currently stuck in the centre of the altercation was someone I knew.
"Here’s your chance, Lady Aster. Let’s see how you can handle this."
I mean... This shouldn’t be too hard, right? Just beat them up and make them go away?
I sucked in a breath and jumped towards the space that had been made around them, the students having gathered there to watch the three of their seniors bickering over Delmare.
Just as the three of them were preparing their spells, I landed with a thud behind them, prompting everyone in that area to turn to look at me.
Most of them immediately recognised who I was, partially because I was still carrying my egg and they saw that first.
Then they realised I was wearing a red armband and most of the senior students realised why I was there.
Delmare’s face lit up when she saw me and while I wanted to go over and give her head pats and tell her how cute she was, I had a job to do first.
The three seniors widened their eyes at my armband and I suppose the fact that I was a first year student made them think they could take me on.
So instead of backing down, they actually changed the target of their aggression to me instead.
Oh? You’re actually attacking me? How cute.
Before they could even speak a few words of their spell chants, I had already rushed forward and smashed my knee into the abdomen of the guy from the Light Music Club, knocking the wind out of him.
I then turned and slapped my tail across the face of the guy from the theatre club, interrupting his spell casting and knocking him down to the ground.
The last guy turned towards me, only to see me doing a standing split before I delivered an axe kick down on top of his head, knocking him flat on the ground as well.
Hmm~ Hmm~ Don’t worry student Delmare! I have come to save you! Ehehehe~
