Chapter 174: Chapter 157: Officially Landing on Void Isle

Skye Schuyler was straightforward by nature. She directly relayed the comments made by the regular players in the main group chat back to District 122.

Plenty of players in District 122 were still awake, and many of them were discussing the guide Rowan Rhodes had posted.

They had considered the fertilizer business themselves. After all, to some extent, they all possessed basic knowledge of how to make fertilizer. Although they weren’t sure if it would work in the game, it only cost a few materials, so they figured it was worth a shot. If they succeeded, the profits would be massive.

Yet, right at this moment, Rowan published her guide. Putting everything else aside, the title alone revealed a clear message. Fertilizer could probably only be successfully crafted by players with the Farming Skill.

This caused many players to back down. They only had a superficial understanding of fertilizer formulas to begin with, and researching it wouldn’t necessarily yield any results. Of course, there were still many who were eager to try. They were all hoping for a chance to get rich overnight.

As a result, even though it was the dead of night, District 122’s world channel was incredibly lively. A continuous stream of messages flooded in, so as soon as Skye shared those comments, they instantly grabbed the attention of the players in District 122.

"Holy shit, did they really say that?"

"Boss Rowan’s Antidote and Eira Grass saved countless players from potential aftereffects!"

"And trading Space Stones for fruits and vegetables helped so many people get through the crisis!"

"She even sold the fertilizer formula directly so capable people could craft it. Making things convenient for players with that ability is already generous enough."

"It seems the situation in the other districts is truly grim."

"Or rather, players in other districts probably have to stay constantly on guard against each other."

"Being wary of each other is perfectly normal! When players from our district first landed on the islands, we were also isolated and guarded against one another."

"The problem is that a portion of players in other districts refuse to accept Boss Rowan’s authority."

"True. Hasn’t Boss Rowan done enough already? If I were in her shoes, I definitely couldn’t do all that."

"Human greed knows no bounds! Wherever there are people, there will be conflict."

"We have plenty of conflicts in our district too, but we cooperate when facing a common interest."

"Yeah! But when you lack the ability, you definitely have to follow someone reliable."

"And Boss Rowan is as reliable as they come."

"Honestly, as long as there are benefits, no matter how much they complain in private, they’ll still follow the boss."

"As long as we know what’s what, that’s all that matters."

"We definitely won’t change bosses, anyway."

"Other districts are probably super jealous of District 122!"

"..."

Evidently, the players in District 122 shared the same mindset as Zelda Parrish and her group. When seeking a powerful backer, it was only natural to choose the strongest. Rowan was the perfect, ready-made choice.

As long as Rowan remained and maintained this advantage, the majority of players in District 122 would continue to follow her. This conviction only grew firmer after seeing the situation in the outside world.

Rowan only learned about the situation when she woke up the next day and saw District 122’s world channel abuzz with the discussion. Upon seeing it, she felt not a single ripple of emotion.

Just as Zelda had surmised, no matter what Rowan did, she prioritized her own interests. Because of this, she wouldn’t feel the slightest bit upset over other people’s complaints. After all, as long as they brought her benefits, that was enough.

Hoping that people would feel deeply grateful to her just because they profited? Impossible! At least in this treacherous Sea Survival Game, it was absolutely impossible!

Now that their rooms were on the same floor, Rowan could see the Seagull Family and Void Beast Atticus as soon as she stepped out of her door. At this moment, Void Beast Atticus was following the Seagull Family around the control room just outside her door, identifying the various pieces of Equipment.

Atticus was full of curiosity toward these things it had never seen before.

"What is this?"

"How fascinating!"

"It’s a bit similar to our positioning."

"..."

Hearing their voices, the corners of Rowan’s lips unconsciously curled up. She then headed to the adjacent shower room to wash up.

By the time she finished and came out, Seabird One was already waiting by the stairs with Void Beast Atticus.

"Master, are we going to explore the Void Isle? We took a tour around it during the day and memorized the Map. We can lead the way," Seabird One offered.

As soon as Seabird One finished, Void Beast Atticus hurriedly chimed in. "Rowan, I can do it too."

Rowan listened and nodded. "Alright, we’ll all go together. The weather is beautiful today!"

The control room was surrounded by glass windows. Sunlight streamed through, casting dappled shadows on the floor and illuminating the entire raft. Especially after the gloomy weather of the three-day viral disaster, the sunshine felt exceptionally rare. Regardless, just looking at it was enough to lift one’s spirits.

As for what Rowan needed to do next, it was naturally matters of trade. Perhaps because she had planted the fruits and vegetables right before bed, she was greeted by a massive wave of players seeking to trade as soon as she woke up.

Fruits and vegetables in one hand, Space Stones in the other.

Rowan kept busy for quite a while. She also finalized several trades for the Void Beasts.

"Done, everything has been teleported over," Void Beast Atticus said, handing the Space Stones it had gathered over to Rowan after helping complete the transactions.

"Mhm," Rowan acknowledged, leading Seabird One and the others down to the first floor.

After enjoying breakfast, Rowan gathered the Seagull Family and Void Beast Atticus, preparing to officially set foot on the island. Initially, Rowan thought the Big Turtle would stay on the raft to continue farming, but to her surprise, it also asked to disembark.

"Master, I want to see if there are any plants on the Void Isle that can be cultivated, and dig up some fresh soil," the Big Turtle said enthusiastically. "From now on, I want to go to every island you visit."

Its knowledge of this world came from inherited memories, but those memories weren’t very detailed. As a newly born creature, it possessed an intense curiosity about the world. It wanted to follow its master and learn about the world together.

"Alright," Rowan nodded. Given the Big Turtle’s talent in farming, its exploration of the island might just yield some unexpected surprises!

And so, the group stepped onto the Void Isle under the bright sunshine.

With one clear look, Rowan immediately noticed the difference between the Void Isle now and in her past life. When she had visited back then, it had already been explored many times over. It had essentially been stripped of resources, looking completely overexploited. But now, everything was perfectly preserved, presenting a stunningly beautiful landscape of Nature.

The sand on the beach was exceptionally soft and fine, and the churning waves washed up plenty of seashells. In the shallows, various marine creatures could be seen swimming about.

Take the Seagull Family, for instance. They had already impatiently launched an "attack" on the marine life.

Oh, and the veteran actors, the sharks, were currently circling in the ocean as well. Since the raft was right on the Void Isle’s beach, the sharks swam as close as they possibly could, which could be considered quite dutiful of them.

Rowan had no intention of letting them go and effortlessly dispatched them. As for their meat, it was tossed to the Seagull Family. After enjoying a hearty feast, the seagulls circled above Rowan, calling out cheerfully to assert their presence.

Watching this scene, the corners of Rowan’s lips curled up slightly.

"Let’s start exploring!"

With that command, Rowan walked across the beach, heading toward the higher reefs.
