Chapter 184: Chapter 163: She Wanted to Hollow Out the Entire Island

Rowan Rhodes, by Nature, was also lurking on the chat screen.

Watching the enthusiastic players of District 122, she gained a better understanding of the influence she, Zelda Parrish, and the others wielded. However, she also noticed a slight issue. Players could chat privately and form small groups in the Sea Survival Shop, but this wasn’t possible within the district channels, which increased the difficulty of establishing factions to some extent.

But according to the Sea Survival Game’s original plan, they probably never expected the Azure players to start forming factions so quickly. After all, players could only officially unlock the cross-server group chat mode on the world channel after entering the Coastal Waters Region. But where there was a will, any difficulty could be overcome.

Factions established under such circumstances would definitely become stronger after undergoing a period of adjustment. In fact, it was precisely because of this unpredictability that Rowan Rhodes felt a sense of anticipation. No matter how badly things went, it would still undoubtedly be better than her previous life.

While Rowan Rhodes and Zelda Parrish were communicating, the Seagull Family and Big Turtle’s group continued to hunt. The Seagull Family, in particular, had gathered many plants under Big Turtle’s guidance, piling them up into a small mountain.

When Rowan Rhodes shifted her attention back to Void Isle, she noticed this scene, along with several pairs of eyes looking at her expectantly.

"Thank you," Rowan Rhodes said with a smile. "You’ve been a huge help."

She had realized that Seabird One and the others loved being praised, especially by her.

"Me, me, me! I helped too!" Void Beast Atticus bounded over quickly, making its presence known.

"Yes, yes, thank you too," Rowan Rhodes chuckled softly.

Truthfully, Atticus was the one she was most grateful to among them. The information it brought was truly their most precious wealth, arguably even changing their fates. Although she couldn’t show it directly right now, she would repay it well when the opportunity arose later.

Hearing this, Void Beast Atticus chortled happily.

Rowan Rhodes then followed them, walking across the entire island. On her way back, she harvested another batch of Acidic Mushrooms before finally setting her sights on the soil.

Speaking of which, there was an amusing fact. Right now, in the entire Sea Survival Game, soil was in a state of severe shortage. Even as the instigator of this trend, Rowan Rhodes would likely be unable to purchase any soil herself even if she wanted to. Therefore, for the current Rowan Rhodes, digging up soil on Void Isle was actually one of the more valuable things she could do.

Before digging for soil, however, she set aside some time to prepare a lavish lunch of fruit and drinks for the Seagull Family, Big Turtle, and Void Beast Atticus. At the sight of the delicious food, Seabird One, Big Turtle, and the rest familiarly gathered around the table and began to eat. Rowan Rhodes also ate a bit with them. After replenishing the energy she had expended that morning, she returned to the raft.

She returned to the raft for two reasons: first, to place the live hens, goats, and wild hares into the pasture, and second, to craft a machine capable of automatically gathering soil.

Having Rowan Rhodes dig it all up by hand here would simply take up too much time. To improve efficiency, she by Nature had to choose an electric option. Rowan Rhodes had already thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of the solar-powered electric iron pickaxe back on Glimmerstone Isle, and now, she intended to keep that streak going. After all, what separated humans from animals was their ability to use tools. And the sunlight outside was just right!

Upon returning to the raft, Rowan Rhodes first checked the harvest from the fishing net deployed around it. Having been upgraded multiple times alongside the raft, it was now a C-level automatic fishing net. The amount of resources it could haul in had long since climbed steadily, yielding between 10 to 20 items per harvest. These resources ranged from common to relatively rare items, and even included some marine life.

Once caught by the automatic fishing net, the items would automatically enter Rowan Rhodes’s inventory. It could be said that thanks to this electric fishing net, even if Rowan Rhodes wasn’t focusing on fishing, she could still secure a steady amount of resources. This was also the reason why she had grown somewhat relaxed regarding the harvesting of marine resources. With Rowan Rhodes’s abilities, she had long moved past the point of needing to actively gather resources from the sea.

After scanning the area and confirming there were no special marine creatures near Void Isle, she withdrew her gaze and walked over to the Workbench to craft a solar-powered electric iron shovel.

After all, an iron shovel was an essential tool for acquiring soil. With her previous experience guiding her, she assembled the parts, and a solar-powered electric iron shovel was successfully produced.

Rowan Rhodes crafted ten of them in one go.
