Why Are the Psychos Obsessed with a Mere NPC?

Chapter 305 - 204: Underwater Castle

Outside the Civil Affairs Bureau.

The virtual old parasol tree was lush with branches and leaves.

The guards assigned by the military district were lying in wait nearby.

Pei Yin scowled, glancing at the guards following them covertly. "If I’d known, I would’ve just let them come inside with us."

He beckoned, calling one of them over to handle the situation inside.

"I’m only giving them two choices. One, resign and leave the Imperial Capital Star. Two..."

Jian Yu cut in, "Two, make them pay."

Her expression was cold, her little mouth running a mile a minute. "They’ve completely ruined our wonderful day. They have to pay for emotional damages."

Pei Yin was speechless.

Si Xu raised his indifferent gaze for two seconds.

The guard looked at Pei Yin and the others, his face serious, awaiting instructions.

Pei Yin waved his hand. "Do as she says."

The guard asked earnestly, "How much should we extort?"

Pei Yin: "..."

’I guess it’s up to me,’ Jian Yu thought. "Enough to make them bleed. Enough to make their hearts ache."

Xi Yu’s eyes were ice-cold. "Mhm, we’ll listen to baby."

Pei Yin closed his eyes.

Ling Yanzhi made the final decision. "Then fire them and make them pay compensation. If they pay enough, they won’t have to be expelled from the Imperial City."

The guard left, looking a little bewildered.

Ling Yanzhi’s finger swiped across his Star Brain as he logged into their official account.

Jian Yu stood on her tiptoes, leaning in to peek.

Xi Yu picked her up.

Jian Yu looked down and saw Ling Yanzhi editing a post.

Seeing him get stuck, Jian Yu couldn’t help but add her two cents. "If they get more plastic surgery, it’ll ruin your image. It also seriously affects your travel and credibility. You have to make them pay!"

Out of some inexplicable shyness, her fingers unconsciously pinched Xi Yu’s shoulder.

Jian Yu lowered her lashes. "I don’t want to run into a bunch of people on the street who look exactly like you guys. What if I mistake them for you?"

Xi Yu raised his eyes and nodded. "Mhm, baby’s right."

Ling Yanzhi’s brow twitched. "Fine."

Jian Yu pressed her lips together. ’This money is coming so easily.’

’Less than fifty characters, but the value is off the charts.’

’This is more profitable than a novelist slaving away on a long Chapter for a month.’

Pei Yin reposted it in coordination.

Si Xu thought for a moment, then casually reposted it as well.

After checking the comments, they were about to turn and talk when they realized Xi Yu, who should have been beside them, had vanished.

Pei Yin frowned.

Si Xu was silent.

Ling Yanzhi started walking away first. "Let’s go back. Ayue will protect her."

He walked with one hand in his pocket, his steps steady and his back straight, but the moment he turned his head, his expression was so dark it looked like ink could drip from it.

「Elsewhere.」

Jian Yu blinked, also a bit bewildered. "Ayue?"

Xi Yu excitedly kissed Jian Yu’s cheek. "I’m taking my baby to the castle."

Before Jian Yu could react, her vision suddenly soared into the air.

After a dizzying spin, her feet left the ground, and she was held securely in his arms.

A Mecha flew out from the Mecha chain on Xi Yu’s neck.

Xi Yu boarded the Mecha, still holding her.

Jian Yu looked up. The cold, handsome face before her was so close she could feel his slightly heavy, warm breath.

She held on tightly to Xi Yu, her gaze lowered, landing on his dark purple chief’s uniform.

He had spent all night picking it out, yet still chose the color he wore most often. This time, however, there was a row of buttons at the collar, the silver clasps meticulously fastened to the very top, adding an air of asceticism.

"Baby." Xi Yu’s voice was a little low and hoarse, carrying a hint of imperceptible tension.

He activated the autopilot, his lips pressing clingingly against Jian Yu’s cheek. "I might not have learned how yet. I don’t really understand."

"We can take it slow?" Jian Yu subconsciously wrapped her arms around his neck, her nose brushing against his cool earlobe.

’He doesn’t understand? What am I supposed to do about it?’

’I can’t just offer to teach him, can I? That would make me sound so experienced.’

Jian Yu sighed.

Her breath sprayed across his neck, and Xi Yu’s body clearly stiffened for a moment.

A flicker of panic flashed through his hazel eyes, but he quickly pressed his thin lips together, making sure no strange sounds escaped his throat.

He held her tighter, buried his head, and infused his spiritual power into the Mecha.

Jian Yu only heard the whistling of the wind rush past her ears.

The Mecha’s speed was astonishing, and the surrounding scenery quickly blurred into streaking lines.

The surrounding clamor was left behind as the two of them sped toward the island.

The Mecha landed, and he lifted her with a single arm, leaving her suspended in his hold.

The wind by the sea was strong, blowing into the collar of her dress, and Jian Yu’s fingers tightened.

Xi Yu used his arm to hold down her skirt, activated a protective shield, and carried her into the sea.

Jian Yu buried her face in Xi Yu’s chest, her ears filled with the tranquility of being enveloped by water.

"We’re here." Xi Yu’s voice sounded by her ear, tinged with the eager anticipation of someone showing off a treasure.

Jian Yu opened her eyes. Her breathing softened, and her gaze froze.

Before her was a deep and mysterious expanse of azure.

They were standing inside a transparent dome, on a floor that shimmered like the surface of the sea.

Before them was a castle with its gates wide open.

A magnificent castle, standing silently at the bottom of the sea.

Its enormous spires pierced toward the sea’s surface, and its walls seemed to be carved from Obsidian and some kind of faintly glowing blue crystal.

The outer walls were covered in all sorts of beautiful corals and seaweed.

Outside the transparent barrier, schools of small fish darted around the castle.

Jian Yu could only think of two words: dreamlike and dazzling.

Xi Yu watched her shining eyes, and his Adam’s apple bobbed.

His gaze deepened. "My father spent a lot of money to build it. I designed the blueprints myself."

Thinking of the two people who had cut in line, Xi Yu’s heart felt heavy, like the castle’s outer wall being rammed by a school of fish, a faint, sour ache spreading within him.

Jian Yu struggled to be put down. "I want to go inside and look."

Xi Yu released her.

She jogged inside and looked around for a few minutes.

Jian Yu ran her hand over a coral bed and picked up a large pearl that was used as a decoration.

She was about to praise it when her body suddenly felt light.

Before she could react, a force came at her from behind.

Jian Yu sensed it but didn’t resist.

She clenched her fists, a thrill running through her.

Then, her waist tightened, and she was flipped over by a soft yet resilient tentacle that lifted her with practiced ease.

Jian Yu’s back hit a solid, slightly cool chest.

She lifted her chin, her eyes wide and round.

Xi Yu’s smooth, crisp, dark purple uniform rippled twice. From his back, eight slender tentacles pushed through the fabric, surging out. His Spiritual Body brandished its fangs and claws, dancing wildly in the air.

Jian Yu pressed her lips together tightly.

’Composed on the outside, celebrating wildly on the inside.’

Unlike the sticky, soft creature she’d seen the first time, Yang Zhang’s Spiritual Body had become somewhat soft and cute.

The tentacles were covered in a layer of pink, and their tips were rounded. They were both aggressive and yet somehow adorably dopey.

The Spiritual Body, detached from the consciousness of the Soul Beast, followed Xi Yu’s thoughts, swiftly and tightly wrapping its eight tentacles around Jian Yu’s limbs.

The tentacle at her waist suddenly constricted.

Two wrapped around her slender ankles, holding her legs slightly parted and immobile.

Two more snaked up past her calves to tightly shackle her wrists, pulling her hands high above her head.
