"Of course I’m serious. Why would I lie?" He pushed the door open and entered first, flicked on the light in the hallway with a snap, changed his shoes, and put a pair of men’s slippers at the door.

Scarlett was still in shock: "Knox, why did you set the password so simple? Aren’t you worried about getting cleaned out by a thief?"

No one sets a password like 123456, it’s basically the default password. He doesn’t even bother to change it.

"Sweetie, do you think a normal person would set their password like this?" Knox’s slender eyes curved with a smile, amused.

Scarlett shook her head: "No."

"That’s why I deliberately choose the unconventional path. Even if a thief racks their brain, they won’t guess that my password is the default one." He was quite proud as he said this, confident in his cleverness.

Scarlett’s mouth twitched: "But for every homeowner like you who takes the unconventional path, there are thieves who defy expectations. Don’t underestimate their intelligence; thieves nowadays are very smart."

Scarlett pondered that she should change the password immediately.

She planned to stay here for a few days, and the default password was just too insecure. She was always someone who followed the rules, uninterested in taking risks.

She bent down and studied the lock, watched it for a few seconds, then pressed a few buttons, and after some beeping sounds, she clapped her hands, feeling relieved.

"Sweetie, what are you doing?" Knox asked curiously, seeing that she hadn’t entered the room.

"I just changed the password." Scarlett reported the new password to him, "That default password made me feel unsafe. If you want to take the unconventional path, you can change it back after I leave."

Knox smiled, extended his hand to pull her inside the room, and closed the door: "Don’t worry, I’ll be here with you these days. With me here to protect you, you can relax. If anyone dares to touch my Baby Scarlett, they’ll have to deal with me."

The hallway was lit with warm lights, a gentle orange-yellow like firelight, giving a sense of warmth.

After Knox pulled Scarlett into the room, she looked up and couldn’t help but twitch her mouth several times.
