Chapter 1439: Chapter 1439: How Can He Be So Easy to Defeat
His face, bruised and swollen, was impossible to look at. It was a ridiculous sight, a face hard to recognize even for those who knew him well.
This contrast only made Knox Simmons’ inner rage burn even hotter. His fury surged into his mind like an explosion, and his blood boiled as he glared at Matthew Saxon with eyes red with anger: "Are you still not done today? Haven’t you had enough, or do you want another fight?"
Matthew Saxon appraised him from head to toe, a contemptuous smile playing on his lips: "You think you’re up to it? Still haven’t had enough of my beatings, want another dose?"
Death before dishonor!
Even knowing he couldn’t win against him, Knox Simmons refused to bow his head before him.
He tossed the stone in his hand to the roadside, turned, clapped his hands, and sneered: "Who’s going to beat whom isn’t settled yet. I was just off my game before and didn’t show my usual skills. This time, I’ll knock your teeth out."
Matthew Saxon smirked, amused as if he were watching a weakling overestimate his ability: "Big talk, but not enough ability. Seems like my punches earlier didn’t convince you. Since you want another beating, I won’t refuse. Use all you’ve got; I want to see your real skills."
He finished speaking and rotated his fist, a creaking sound emanating as his joints flexed—an eerie sound that would send chills down a spine in the dead of night.
Knox Simmons, provoked by his disdainful gaze, clenched his teeth, eyes almost blazing, and with a roar, charged towards Matthew Saxon.
At this moment, both were consumed by rage, having lost reason, with no concern over street brawls affecting their image or anything of the sort.
Matthew Saxon was enraged that Knox Simmons hid Scarlett Yates away, with ulterior motives of coveting her.
Knox Simmons was equally furious that Matthew Saxon bullied Scarlett Yates, and coupled with being beaten, old and new grievances combined, leaving no room for rationality.
Soon, the two were at it again.
Matthew Saxon knocked Knox Simmons to the ground with a punch, but Knox Simmons, seething, leapt up and swung a punch back at Matthew Saxon.
He assumed Matthew Saxon would dodge; with Matthew’s skills, he certainly could have.
Yet unexpectedly...
Knox Simmons’ punch landed squarely on Matthew Saxon.
Watching him try to sidestep, though suddenly his body stiffened, his face changed, and he stood still.
Even more surprising, after taking the punch, Matthew Saxon’s body tottered twice before collapsing directly onto the ground.
Knox Simmons froze.
In disbelief, he looked at his tightly clenched fist, then turned his shocked gaze to Matthew Saxon on the ground.
No way...
How could Matthew Saxon be so easy to knock down, collapsing from just one punch?
Knox Simmons felt his punch wasn’t that powerful.
But Matthew Saxon was indeed hit to the ground, seemingly in pain, his complexion changing.
"Hey, are you serious..." Knox Simmons waited awhile but still saw Matthew Saxon prone on the ground, clutching his chest.
He furrowed his brows: "Matthew Saxon, what kind of trick are you playing? Get up already. If you don’t, believe me, I’ll smash that stone right into your head."
