Chapter 1481: Chapter 1481: Can Good Looks Put Food on the Table?

There was someone standing outside the car, bending over to look inside. Through the car door, it was hard to hear what he was saying, but judging by his mouth movements, he seemed to be asking her to open the window.

Scarlett Yates just realized that the red light had long passed, yet Matthew Saxon’s car was still blocking the way in front.

She was taken aback and, thinking about how people in the back were complaining incessantly, while she and Matthew Saxon were in the car...

Her face heated up, feeling quite embarrassed, she turned her head and glared at Matthew Saxon, "It’s all your fault... Now tell me, what should we do? That guy isn’t really going to pick a fight with you, right?"

The person outside was a tall and muscular man.

Back in the day, she wouldn’t have worried. Matthew Saxon’s skills were something she witnessed; he could definitely take down a muscular guy.

But now... his physical condition wasn’t good at all, and Hayes Simmons had mentioned he shouldn’t engage in vigorous activities.

So, Scarlett Yates thought they should be a bit more apologetic later, maybe give a sincere apology. As the saying goes, no one hits a smiling face.

As for herself, there was no issue, but she was afraid Matthew Saxon might take on a cocky and irritating attitude, provoking the person. She reminded him, "Be nice; don’t get into a fight with anyone later."

Matthew Saxon curled his lips into a smile, "I’m not a warmonger. Why would I pick fights with anyone?"

"Anyway, it’s your fault that your car is blocking the road. Even if the person has complaints, it’s understandable. If they start complaining later, just listen and don’t argue." She was still worried, reminding him repeatedly.

Since she had known Matthew Saxon, his temper was never good, always so irritatingly arrogant.

She feared that later, with just a few words, he might provoke a level-five anger into a level-ten.

Matthew Saxon had laughter in his eyes and agreed cooperatively, "Alright, I’ll do as you say."

The window was opened, and the person outside seemed quite angry. He said with a cold face, "Hey, what are you guys doing? If you can’t drive, don’t come out driving. Is it fun blocking the way here? With so many people stuck behind, does that make you feel good? I’ve been honking for so long; can’t you hear it?"

The muscular guy was so angry, his face was red as he spoke, looking like he was ready to fight at any moment.

To make peace, Scarlett Yates quickly smiled, "Sorry, sir, we’ll drive off soon."

Seeing a young girl talking to him, but the man driving remained silent, the muscular guy couldn’t help but spit in disdain, looking at Matthew Saxon with contempt, "You let a girl apologize for you, do you have no shame? Nowadays, women don’t know what they see in this useless type. Looks won’t feed you, you know! In crucial moments, he doesn’t even dare to stand up. What’s up with this? Is it interesting to find such a useless man?"

As he spoke, he glared at Matthew Saxon, and though he was verbally disdainful, he couldn’t deny that this pretty boy was indeed handsome. His face was like a painting, even prettier than many beautiful women, and not the least bit effeminate.

"Sir, we were indeed in the wrong earlier, we shouldn’t have blocked the road. I apologize. Sir, please don’t be mad, we’ll drive the car away soon." As soon as Scarlett Yates heard these words, her expression changed immediately.

She thought to herself, this is bad, this is bad, Matthew Saxon’s temper can’t handle these kinds of words, and just hearing ’useless’ would ruin things.
