Chapter 1580: Perhaps this was luck (2)

The description that the Appraisal Eyes showed him had all of the information on the injuries that this ghost in front of him suffered from. But at the same time, it had also contained the information that he needed to cure the ghost.

This certainly wasn’t something that his Appraisal Eyes would have shown before, so Lin Fan couldn’t help being curious as to why it would suddenly show this information all of a sudden.

After all, this was just too sudden of a change with the Appraisal Eyes.

There was a part of him that even started to wonder if something had changed with his Appraisal Eyes during this time.

Only it didn’t take long for Lin Fan to figure out what it was that had happened.

Even though there was no notification, there was something that had suddenly started to work without him saying a single thing.

It wasn’t as if this was something that he wasn’t familiar with, it was just that he never thought that it would suddenly start working like this.

Normally there would be something that would trigger this, but there wasn’t anything that triggered it this time. He hadn’t exchanged for any kind of technique that would have triggered this.

At the same time, it wasn’t as if he had any desire to learn medicine.

So the fact that this guidance had appeared meant that the system was now acting on its own.

"But why did it suddenly show me this?" Lin Fan was still confused seeing the instructions that appeared in front of him.

In the end, it wasn’t as if questioning it would change anything.

Since the guidance system had activated and was giving him the information that he wanted, then there was no reason for him not to use this information.

It was just that even with this information, there was a part of Lin Fan that didn’t really know what he was supposed to do with the ghost. After all, it was a ghost and it wasn’t as if normal medical practices would work on it.

"How am I supposed to apply medicine to a ghost in the first place?"

As he was just standing there looking at the ghost in front of him, Lin Fan just felt at a bit of a loss.

That was until a door suddenly opened in front of him.

Lin Fan was surprised to see this door open, but he was even more surprised by what was inside of this room.

Even though it had been countless years since the Dao Sect had been destroyed, the items that were in this room were still fresh. It was as if there was some kind of array that was keeping these things fresh after all this time.

But even if there was an array that was keeping things fresh in this room, it wasn’t as if Lin Fan knew what he was supposed to do with these things. Or at least until his Appraisal Eyes activated again and told him what these things were.

"The Appraisal Eyes shouldn’t be at this level yet..."

It was clear that this was the interference of the system’s guidance.

It really seemed like the system was trying to push him to go through with this.

So in the end, Lin Fan grabbed all of the things that the system advised him would be necessary and went back to the ghosts.

The ghosts seemed to finally be paying attention to him when he showed up with the medicine, but he was surprised to find that none of them were pushing forward. All of them just looked at him as if they were waiting to be called.

Lin Fan didn’t know how to feel about this, but he still went along with it as he started choosing ghosts that he would heal.

In a matter of minutes, there were many different ghosts that started disappearing.

He didn’t know what to expect when he started treating the ghosts, but it seemed like none of them rejected the treatment that they gave him. He was able to put the medicine on the ghosts just like they were normal people.

Only once they had been treated, it was as if some kind of regret had been fulfilled as they started disappearing.

As he watched them disappear, Lin Fan couldn’t help thinking to himself, "If it wasn’t for the system, then this wouldn’t be happening."

The injuries that these ghosts had suffered from were special injuries given to them by those from the upper realm. In this world, it was unlikely there was anyone that would have been able to cure them.

That was unless they were some kind of medical saint...

Or they had a system like him.

Lin Fan knew that his system was a cheat, but right now it was something that was helpful, so he didn’t mind making use of it.

With the system’s guidance, he was able to treat all of the ghosts that had initially gathered.

It was just that there were too many ghosts that were here and there weren’t enough medical supplies. Most of the medical supplies that should have been in this place were most likely used up when they were still alive.

It had been used to try and save their lives, but it didn’t have any effect since they were still ghosts.

"Come back and help the rest of them when the time comes."

That was what the voice from before said before a token appeared in front of him.

Even in the end, it didn’t seem like the elder of the pavilion wanted to show their face. It seemed like the elder was embarrassed because of what had happened in the past and they were too ashamed to show themselves since they couldn’t accomplish what Lin Fan had accomplished.

Seeing this, Lin Fan couldn’t help giving a sigh before turning to leave.

It wasn’t his place to judge the situation of the former Dao Sect, he was just here to speedrun the trials of these pavilions.

When he arrived at the next pavilion, he was surprised by the state of the pavilion.

"It’s covered in webs?"

This pavilion was completely different from any other pavilion that he had seen so far.

The moment that he saw this pavilion, the only thing that he could think was that this place wasn’t properly maintained. Unlike the other pavilions, it was as if whatever should have been maintaining the pavilion had been turned off.

But looking closely, he could see that the building itself was fine.

The webs seemed to be coming from something that was hiding deep inside of the pavilion itself. It was as if there was something that had come along and caused this pavilion to fall into disarray like this.

Shaking his head with a bitter smile, Lin Fan could only think to himself, "Perhaps it was luck that we went to those other pavilions first. If we came to these places, it certainly would have been troublesome to deal with."

However, Lin Fan suddenly remembered something else.

"It’s not luck, it was Xiao Mu."

Xiao Mu was the one that had been guiding them to all of the pavilions, so it should have been Xiao Mu that was their lucky charm. Or perhaps Xiao Mu knew more about the pavilions than it was telling them.

"It doesn’t matter when I’m planning on clearing them all."

Even if there were bad pavilions, he was still planning on clearing all of the pavilions that were in the outer part of the Dao Sect. So it really didn’t matter at this point if they were dangerous or not.

Which was why Lin Fan took a deep breath and headed towards the web covered door.

But it didn’t seem like it wanted to open since it was covered in webs like this.

The only thing that Lin Fan could do was take out a blade and cut through the webs to reveal the door.

It was just that the moment that he opened the door, there were these black masses that suddenly flew at him.

Lin Fan was able to create a bubble of Clear Water around himself that stopped the black masses from reaching him, which also allowed him to see the true appearance of these black masses.

"Spiders?"

Spiders did explain why this pavilion was covered in webs like this, but there was no explanation for why there were these spiders here in the first place.

Staring at the spiders, Lin Fan took a step back to see how they would react.

He found that the moment that he stepped out of the range of the webs, it seemed like the spiders were no longer hostile towards him. It seemed like they wanted to return to their own territory, if only they weren’t being held by Lin Fan’s Clear Water.

"So these spiders once lived in this place for some reason and after the Dao Sect disappeared, these descendants must have taken over the place."

But no matter how Lin Fan thought about it, he couldn’t really figure out what this place was that would have spiders. From what he could piece together, it really didn’t seem like there was a sect pavilion that would have something like this.

Regardless, it wasn’t as he could back down now.

So with a thought, Lin Fan sent the spiders into the Minor World.

It wasn’t as if they were that powerful, so the beasts in the Minor World would be able to take care of them until he needed them again.
