Even though he had obtained the full inheritance of this tower, it felt like there was still something that was restricted in this tower.

After receiving the inheritance, Lin Fan could feel that he had taken control of the tower itself. It was almost as if everything that was in the tower could be controlled with a single thought by him.

He was able to skim through all of the different books that were contained in this place with just a single thought.

But there was something that seemed like it was kept out of his grasp.

Almost as if there was some kind of barrier that was isolating it from the rest of the tower.

It was in the tower, but it felt like this was a completely different space at the same time.

Lin Fan looked at the fairy as if he was questioning her, but the fairy just looked back at him with a look that explained everything.

It wasn’t as if Lin Fan couldn’t guess what this place was, it was just that this did confirm what he was thinking.

There was a part of Lin Fan that wanted to figure out a way to enter this isolated room, but he chose not to do it in the end. After all, he knew that it would be close to impossible for him to break into this room with his current abilities.

Not to mention that he already knew the way to enter that room.

There was no point in trying to force it open when there was an easier way.

But as he was preparing the leave, the fairy added, "It’ll all be over once you open that door. I hope that you will be prepared for it."

Lin Fan couldn’t help looking back at the fairy when she said this, but she had already disappeared without a trace. Though from the tone of her voice at the end, he could already guess that she had said a bit too much.

Once he left the tower, Lin Fan knew what it was time for.

It was very faint, but it was hard to miss this smell when it permeated the air like this.

When he did, there was a wry smile that appeared on his face.

It didn’t take long for the first ghost to appear and it was clearly someone from the Dao Sect based on what they were wearing. However, the appearance that they had was the last appearance that they had when they were still alive.

"It hurts."

There was this moan that came from the ghost that showed just how much pain it was in, which also proved that Lin Fan was right.

This was most likely the medical facility of the Dao Sect, which meant that this was the place where most of the ones that had suffered in the disaster had died. They would have been brought here with serious injuries and when they couldn’t be cured, they would have passed away in this place.

So that was why this place was filled with all this yin energy and all these ghosts.

Since this place was filled with these ghosts, it meant that he had to figure out a way to take care of them.

"If only Qing Huan was here..." Lin Fan couldn’t help giving a sigh as he said this.

If Ye Qing Huan was here, she could have easily taken care of it with the techniques that she possessed.

But after thinking about it, Lin Fan realized that it might be better that Ye Qing Huan wasn’t here. After all, the techniques that she would have used were those techniques that would have harmed these ghosts.

She would have used force to scatter them and take what they needed.

However, that didn’t seem like the right move now that he had time to look over this area.

Lin Fan felt at a bit of a loss seeing this, but he didn’t let it bother him too much as he headed into the pavilion.

When he opened the doors, he found that there was an even stronger wave of yin energy that hit him. As well, there were countless ghosts that were wandering around in this place.

The Dao Sect was the greatest sect back in the day, so it was only natural that it would be filled with disciples.

Only it was a bit surprising to see just how many of the disciples had survived the disaster. If the goal of the attackers was to destroy the Dao Sect, why were there so many members of the Dao Sect that had been able to come to this place?

"Just what did the Dao Sect learn that the upper realm would do all of this to them?" Lin Fan was even a bit amazed at just how far the upper realm went to harm the Dao Sect.

This kind of grudge definitely wasn’t something that was simple.

In the end, it still seemed like the ghosts were all just ignoring him as they allowed Lin Fan to pass right on through.

After walking for a while, he still didn’t feel like he understood what he was supposed to do here.

"It’s simple, just cure them."

A wry smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he heard this before he said, "How am I supposed to do that?"

But there was no response that came in the end.

He didn’t even need to guess to know that the owner of the voice was most likely the elder that had been in charge of this medical pavilion.

Only even if the elder was telling him to cure the ghosts, it wasn’t as if he knew where to start.
