Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero

Chapter 295 - 289: Kill

Chapter 295: Chapter 289: Kill

Allen ended the connection with Victor and took a deep breath.

He knew it was time to settle the final score with the Second-level Black Wizard.

Azure Magic Power danced at his fingertips as Allen fluidly carved spatial coordinates onto the outer shells of five Golems.

"Deploy." The command was given.

Two Demon Eye IIIs, two Shadow Assassins, and the No. 1 Freedom Gundam rushed out of the workshop. They fanned out into the Black Stone Gobi, maintaining a distance of twenty kilometers from one another, and quietly formed a semicircular pincer formation one hundred kilometers west of the main workshop.

Almost at the exact moment the Golems got into position, the sole remaining Demon Eye IV high in the sky transmitted a piercing alarm.

On the radar display, a source of Magic Power so dense it appeared black was hurtling forward at incredible speed.

Leading the charge was a behemoth, shrouded in a sky-blotting cloud of sand and dust, like a mobile mountain.

With dust filling the sky, a Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast, even more ferocious than the last, breached the horizon.

It was a second one! Behind it, over a hundred elite, modified Magical Beasts charged straight for the main workshop of Zone 18, like a royal guard protecting their king.

Allen pulled up the composite scan imaging. His view penetrated the Tyrannosaurus Beast’s thick armor, revealing a humanoid heat source in its chest cavity. The source, which was emitting Level 2 Magic Power fluctuations, was incredibly bright.

’So he’s finally decided to show up in person.’ Allen stood and walked out the door. It was the first time he had stepped out of the Meditation Room in over a month.

’If I fail, hiding in the workshop won’t save me from death anyway. I might as well go out and witness my enemy’s capabilities firsthand.’

"Jarvis, predict the enemy’s advance. Have the five coordinate anchors converge in a circle centered on the beast pack."

[COMMAND CONFIRMED.]

On the map, the points of light representing the five anchors began to move, silently adjusting their positions to form a huge ring of encirclement.

As the beast pack, led by the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast, entered the core of the pre-planned encirclement, a cold glint flashed in Allen’s deep blue eyes.

"Jarvis, prepare for combat!"

The Magic Furnace deep within the workshop was pushed to its limits, and a torrent of furious energy surged across space, pouring into Allen’s body.

The Golem Teleportation Technique activated instantly!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Across the wasteland, five massive portals, each thirty meters in diameter, erupted from the ground.

The intense spatial fluctuations brought the stampeding beast pack to a screeching halt.

The Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast raised its head warily.

From within each Light Gate, the heavy thud of mechanical feet shattered the dead silence.

The Purgatory Magical Platform emerged first, all the missile pods on its back sliding open.

In the sky, four Freedom Gundams, each carrying a cylindrical "Big Boy," emerged from the Light Gates and immediately soared upward.

Next, the Flame Demon and over thirty Peacekeepers followed close behind, forming a defensive perimeter around the Purgatory mecha.

The Purgatory’s fire control locked on. Salvo fired.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH—!

Hundreds of Crystal Armor-Piercing Bullets rained down from five directions, performing a saturation strike on the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast and its pack.

"Pathetic tricks," the Black Wizard inside the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast sneered.

Armor panels on the behemoth’s flanks suddenly snapped open, revealing rows of launch ports.

Countless micro Magic Missiles streaked into the sky. These missiles were only a third of the size of the Crystal Armor-Piercing Bullets, but they were faster and more agile.

A continuous chain of fireballs erupted in mid-air.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

A continuous chain of fireballs exploded in mid-air, intercepting every last one of the Crystal Armor-Piercing Bullets. A brilliant, multicolored light wave from the Crystalization bloomed in the sky, yet it failed to even graze the Tyrannosaurus Beast.

’So it really is this kind of bomb. I was ready for you,’ the Black Wizard thought as he watched the crystalline phenomenon in mid-air, his lips twisting into a mocking smile.

’I’m guessing your next move is to have those hunks of iron in the sky drop their bombs on my head.’

The thought had barely crossed his mind when the No. 1 Freedom Gundam dove from the clouds. The pylon on its back opened, and the "Big Boy" went into a whistling freefall.

However, the armor on the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast’s back split open instantly. A giant, bloodshot, fleshy tumor forced its way out and abruptly opened an eye!

It was a crimson main eye, identical to the one on the Snail Monster!

An eerie violet light gathered frantically within the main eye.

A thick, violet beam shot into the sky. It not only detonated the "Big Boy" with pinpoint accuracy in mid-air, but its residual power also swept over the No. 1 Freedom Gundam before it had time to pull away.

BOOM—!

The "Big Boy" detonated at an altitude of two thousand meters, its multicolored Crystalization light wave expanding in an instant.

The No. 1 Freedom Gundam’s AT Field didn’t last a second. The beam melted most of the mecha’s frame before it was engulfed by the cloud of Crystalization, turning into a wreck of pure white glass as it plummeted to the ground.

"One Freedom Gundam lost."

Allen’s voice was calm, but his heart felt as if it had been doused in ice water.

’This Black Wizard is tougher than I imagined. He’s clearly figured out my tactics.’

The Black Wizard, now one with the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast, let out a sinister laugh. He had deliberately hidden the eyeball inside the Tyrannosaurus Beast for the sole purpose of countering a high-altitude bombing run.

"Is that all you’ve got?"

The Black Wizard had the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast continue its advance, his voice booming like thunder, amplified by Magic Power. "I’ve already seen through your trump card! All units, spread out and steamroll them!"

The very instant the beast pack took a step forward...

The world was suddenly illuminated.

There were no fluctuations of Magic Power, not a single sound.

A pillar of light, wreathed in a blinding white glare, lanced down vertically from an altitude of twenty thousand meters!

The orbital weapon, "Damocles"!

Seven fire-elemental magic cores overloaded in an instant, all for a single millisecond of ultimate brilliance.

The pillar of light precisely pierced the crimson main eye on the Mechanical Tyrannosaurus Beast’s back.

SIZZLE—!

The main eye and the surrounding flesh and armor were instantly vaporized, leaving a gaping, charred hole several meters deep burned into its back.

The Black Wizard’s movements froze, his mind reeling with shock and disbelief.

Through the Magical Beast’s extraordinary vision, he could vaguely make out a spherical object twenty thousand meters up in the sky. After firing that single shot, its entire frame, unable to withstand the overload, disintegrated into a shower of debris.
