Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor
Chapter 100 - 98: Acting and Taming
Chapter 100: Chapter 98: Acting and Taming
"So what if they are? Are you actually thinking of taking them back to the Ice Wolf Domain?"
Miria took off her mask and looked at Roy, frowning as she asked.
"Of course not, I’m just curious."
Roy replied.
He was telling the truth. No matter how beautiful those two Level Three Beauties were, he had no intention of taking them back to the Ice Wolf Domain.
He might be a lecher, but he had his principles and wouldn’t just take in any woman.
Hearing his answer, Miria turned away and fell silent.
Roy said nothing more, patiently awaiting the arrival of the two Level Three Beauties.
Time ticked by.
After just a few minutes, a knock came at the door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
Hearing the knock, Miria immediately put her mask back on without hesitation.
Only when she had her mask on did Roy say in an unhurried tone, "Come in!"
The door was pushed open slowly, and two young women walked in under their watch. They were gorgeously dressed, with stunning faces and voluptuous figures.
He didn’t know their names, but the sight of them made Roy’s expression fall in disappointment, and he let out a helpless sigh.
’How should I put it?’
Based on looks and figure alone, the two women weren’t far off from Miria.
But in terms of bearing and charm, they were a far cry from Miria.
Or perhaps, before they became slaves, their bearing and charm might not have been that much inferior to Miria’s.
But now, forget comparing them to Miria; their charm and bearing couldn’t even match that of Roy’s personal maid, Aili.
For one thing, Aili was at least more vibrant and confident than they were.
After a brief glance at the two young women, Roy looked away. He turned to Miria and said slowly, "They’re all yours."
"Alright!"
Without a moment’s hesitation, Miria stood up and walked toward the two young women.
She quickly reached them and asked, "What are your names? Where are you from? And how long have you been here?"
Hearing her questions, the two women first looked confused, then glanced at each other.
Finally, the woman with long, wine-red hair spoke slowly. "My name is Anna, and this is Julie. We’re both from the Kalin Kingdom."
"I’ve been here for six months. Julie only arrived three months ago."
’Both from the Kalin Kingdom?’
Miria immediately frowned.
She had assumed Anna and Julie were from the families of nobles in the Laine Kingdom.
It turned out she was wrong.
After a few seconds of silence, Miria continued, "We’re going to get you out of Bear Claw City and set you free. All you need to do is—"
Before she could finish, Anna and Julie’s expressions changed drastically. They said in panic, "We’re not leaving! We’re the tavern’s Level Three Beauties! This is our home, we’re not going anywhere!"
’What’s going on?’
Miria stared at Anna and Julie in confusion, momentarily unable to process what was happening.
Just then, Roy’s voice cut in.
"To prevent them from escaping or resisting, and also to make them better at serving clients."
"After they arrive at the tavern, the tavern conditions them in various ways."
"They don’t know who you are. They think you’re one of the tavern staff, testing them."
"If I’m not mistaken, the tavern has likely run similar tests on them before to see if they’d ask a client to help them escape during a private session."
Roy stood up and walked over to Miria, explaining in an unhurried tone.
Even though this was his first time at the Sleeping Beauty Tavern, he could make an educated guess as to how they prevented their slaves from escaping.
"So what do we do now?"
"If they don’t cooperate, we won’t be able to get them out of Bear Claw City," Miria asked quickly.
"They’ll cooperate, just not right now."
"We just have to start a bloodbath in the tavern to show them we’re not on the staff’s side."
"Given the chance to be human again, no one would choose to remain a slave."
"Unless they’ve been conditioned to the point of completely losing their sense of self and reason."
"But clearly, they haven’t been broken to that extent."
"In other words, their terrified display just now was nothing but an act."
Roy’s gaze fell upon Anna and Julie as he spoke slowly.
Anna and Julie’s acting was decent, but he saw through it at a glance.
To hide his secrets, he had been playing a part ever since his first day in this world.
Compared to his own masterfully honed acting, Anna and Julie’s performance was far too amateurish and deliberate.
Just as Roy suspected, looks of astonishment flickered across Anna and Julie’s faces when they heard him.
Just as they were about to speak, Roy cut them off. "Don’t ask who we are. We wouldn’t tell you even if you did. You’ll know soon enough if we’re telling the truth."
"Now, get on the bed."
"Don’t scream, and don’t make any sudden moves. Just sit there quietly."
With that said, he paid them no more mind and returned to his lounge chair.
After a few seconds of deliberation, Anna and Julie went to the bed and sat down without a word.
Miria sized them up for a moment before returning to Roy’s side.
Just as she was about to sit, Roy spoke to her. "Go stand by the window and watch for Garrett and his men."
The Garrett he mentioned was the Captain of Count Frost Bear’s Personal Guard.
"Right."
Miria nodded, walked straight to the window, and pulled the curtain aside just enough to peer down into the main hall.
Time ticked by.
More than half an hour passed in the blink of an eye.
Just as Roy was wondering if he should have Anna and Julie come give him a massage, Miria’s excited voice cut through the silence. "They’re here."
Hearing Miria, he immediately went to the window and looked out into the hall.
The hall was dimly lit, but he could clearly see Garrett and the others who had just entered.
"Your intel was right. They really are here for a good time tonight."
With that, Roy took out a black mask that covered the lower half of his face and put it on.
No one in Bear Claw City knew him, but wearing a mask would help avoid unnecessary trouble.
Once the mask was on, he drew the Fine Steel Cross Sword from his belt.
Before imbuing his Cross Sword with Fighting Qi, he said to Miria, "I’ll leave five of them alive for you to finish off personally."
"Good!"
Miria quickly replied.
Upon hearing Miria’s reply, Roy didn’t hesitate. He instantly unleashed his Silver-White Fighting Qi, letting it envelop the blade of his Cross Sword.
Then, he threw open the window and leaped down without a second glance.
The moment his feet hit the hall floor, Roy shot toward Garrett and his men like a bolt of lightning.
In a flash, he was behind them.
Garrett and his men heard the sound from behind them.
But before they could even turn, Roy swung his Cross Sword.
SHK-SHK-SHK-SHK-SHK...
The Cross Sword, wreathed in Silver-White Fighting Qi, cut through the bodies of Garrett and his men at an astonishing speed, severing both their arms and their right legs, one by one.
