Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor
Chapter 101 - 99: Killing Spree
Chapter 101: Chapter 99: Killing Spree
For Miria, defeating Garrett and his men—let alone killing them—would be an incredibly difficult task.
One-on-one, she was absolutely confident she could win.
But winning a one-on-five fight was, for her, a monumental challenge.
For Roy, however, it posed no difficulty at all.
Never mind that only two of Garrett’s five men were Peak Knights.
Even if all five had been Peak Knights, he could have killed them in an instant.
He was a Silver Great Knight—and a Silver Great Knight who possessed two Tier Eight Seeds at that.
If he couldn’t even manage a trifle like this, he might as well give up on Cultivation and find a nice tree to hang himself from.
The moment Miria leaped down from the VIP room on the second floor, she saw Roy hacking off the hands and right legs of Garrett’s five men as if he were dicing vegetables.
She knew Roy was stronger than her.
But she had never imagined he was *this* much stronger.
Before she could process it, Garrett and his men erupted in bloodcurdling screams.
Though screaming was humiliating, the intense pain made them cry out involuntarily, as if shouting could somehow lessen the agony.
Their screams instantly dispelled much of the lewd atmosphere in the main hall.
At the same time, it startled everyone present.
As they screamed, the hall’s dim lighting suddenly brightened, and all eyes immediately focused on Roy and the mutilated men.
Upon seeing Garrett and his men, their arms and right legs severed, wailing in pools of their own blood, the scantily clad and naked female slaves in the hall erupted in piercing shrieks.
"AHHH!!!"
The slaves’ shrieks further shattered the hall’s depraved ambiance.
Roy paid their screams no mind, instead darting toward the bar.
SHINK!
The bartender who had served Roy and Miria earlier had no time to react before the Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in Silver-White Fighting Qi, plunged through his open mouth and out the back of his skull, instantly ending his life.
After Roy had entered the tavern, only four people had gotten a clear look at his face: the bartender, the maid who had led them, Anna, and Julie.
As for the others in the main hall, the dim lighting and their diverted attention meant none of them had seen his face clearly.
The Sleeping Beauty Tavern had deliberately kept the lighting dim to enhance the mood, allowing the patrons to have more fun and turning the hall into what was, for all intents and purposes, an orgy.
However, this very arrangement had inadvertently done Roy a favor, preventing the patrons from getting a clear look at his face.
After running the bartender through, Roy used his Fighting Qi to alter his voice and shouted, "You can always earn more money, but you only get one life!"
"If you don’t want to die, hand over all your valuables!"
’I’m not short on cash, but I don’t mind making this little side job a bit more profitable.’
The tavern’s money—he’d take it!
The patrons’ money—he’d take that too!
Roy had barely finished speaking when a middle-aged man, who had just pulled on his pants, stood up. He brandished a Two-Handed Giant Sword and sneered, "You want to rob me? I’ll take your life instead!"
The words had barely left his mouth when the man unleashed black Fighting Qi, shrouding his entire body. He then charged at Roy, swinging his Two-Handed Giant Sword.
The man wasn’t slow; his speed was what one would expect from a Peak Knight.
But to Roy, his speed was completely insignificant.
Only when the man reached him and brought down the Two-Handed Giant Sword with immense force did Roy unhurriedly raise his left hand, which was wreathed in Fighting Qi.
BANG!
The Two-Handed Giant Sword, wrapped in black Fighting Qi, slammed into Roy’s palm as if it had struck indestructible metal. Roy caught it with one hand.
’How is this possible?’
The man stared in disbelief, never imagining that a strike with his full power could be caught so easily.
Moreover, the Defense Power of Roy’s left hand was completely beyond his expectations.
On the surface, Roy had merely covered his left hand with Silver-White Fighting Qi.
In reality, however, he had materialized the Fighting Qi in his palm.
That was why the man felt as if he had struck solid metal.
Roy wasted no time. With his right hand, the Fine Steel Cross Sword flashed out like Lightning.
SHINK!
The Fine Steel Cross Sword, enveloped in Silver-White Fighting Qi, sliced through the air in a graceful arc, right across the man’s neck.
Without a hint of suspense, the man, clad only in his pants, was decapitated in a single strike and died instantly.
Roy released the Two-Handed Giant Sword, now devoid of its black Fighting Qi.
Pulled down by gravity, the giant sword and the man’s headless corpse crashed to the floor.
"Anyone else want to try?"
Roy said coldly, his gaze sweeping over the other patrons in the hall.
It only took a few seconds for the patrons to respond. They all took out their coin purses, thrust them into the hands of the female slaves, and had the slaves deliver them.
The slaves hastily grabbed clothes from the floor to cover themselves, then tremblingly approached Roy with the purses and placed them on the bar.
Having done so, they all retreated to a corner of the hall in a silent, mutual understanding, squatting down and shivering.
Roy ignored them, turning to look at Miria.
Miria was now in front of Garrett and his men, beginning her revenge.
She didn’t kill the defenseless men immediately. Instead, she used them for target practice, her Cross Sword repeatedly slashing across their bodies, leaving deep gashes and sending flesh flying.
After a single glance, Roy looked away, vaulted over the bar, and retrieved the cash box.
The cash box wasn’t large, only about twenty centimeters long and ten centimeters wide and high.
Despite its small size, it was packed with Gold Coins and Silver Coins.
Roy closed the lid on the cash box and left the bar area.
Just as he was about to head to the tavern’s backyard, the tavern guards swarmed into the hall.
Roy showed the guards no courtesy, descending upon them like the grim reaper.
The Sleeping Beauty Tavern had a good number of guards, including over ten Official Knights.
Though most were only Initial Tier or Middle Tier, that was an impressive security force for a tavern.
Many nobles didn’t even have that many Clan Knights.
Ordinarily, these dozen or so Official Knights would have been enough to keep the Sleeping Beauty Tavern safe.
Now, however, the only thing these Official Knights accomplished was delaying Roy for a mere seven or eight seconds.
After dispatching the Official Knights, Roy didn’t spare the ordinary guards, cutting them down one by one.
Only then did he proceed to the backyard.
The moment Roy left the main hall, the patrons fled the tavern like refugees, their clothes in disarray and their faces etched with terror.
Miria didn’t stop them, instead continuing to torture Garrett and his men.
...
「Half an hour later.」
In the forest outside Bear Claw City, Roy watched the female slaves from the Sleeping Beauty Tavern ride away on horseback before turning to Miria. "I’m heading back to Yorkshire now. I’ll see you around."
Getting Anna, Julie, and the others out of Bear Claw City hadn’t taken much effort.
Anna and Julie were former noblewomen.
Though they had never practiced any Breathing Techniques, horsemanship was a required skill for them.
It was precisely because of this that Roy had agreed to Miria’s plan to lead the slaves of the Sleeping Beauty Tavern out of Bear Claw City.
The Sleeping Beauty Tavern didn’t have enough horses for each of the women to have their own—there weren’t even enough for them to ride two to a horse.
However, that wasn’t a major problem.
When the first wave of the City Guard arrived at the tavern on their Warhorses, the horse shortage was quickly resolved.
The rest was simple.
Roy handled the killing, while Miria led Anna and the other women behind him.
Relying on his strength as a Silver Great Knight, Roy easily dispatched the Official Knights and soldiers at the city gate, leading the women out of Bear Claw City.
"Aren’t you coming back to the Snow Fox Domain with me?"
Miria asked, frowning.
"Why would I go to the Snow Fox Domain? Isn’t everything settled?"
Roy asked in return.
"Well... I haven’t had a chance to thank you properly."
Miria said slowly.
"Don’t thank me. If you want to thank someone, thank Allen. I just came to help on his behalf."
Roy replied.
