Chapter 401: Chapter 402: Resources

"Alright. First, go and collect the resources you’re entitled to. Then, familiarize yourself with your Morning Star World and master the Power of a Morning Star Wizard."

Andeta looked at Andre and waved his hand. He then released the Eight Ancestors from his bonds, allowing him to take Andre away.

"Ugh, ahh!"

Freed from his restraints, the Eight Ancestors stretched his arms, then went to Andre’s side and led him out of the great hall. Andeta remained behind, returning to his seat and gazing at the membrane in his hand.

’Have Andre repair the damaged world membrane? Interesting. So you’re finally at your breaking point!’

A mysterious light glinted in Andeta’s eyes.

「Meanwhile」

The Eight Ancestors had brought Andre to another world.

"Go on," the Eight Ancestors said, pointing to a palace in the distance.

The palace was immense, constructed from an entire continent.

"That’s where the family’s disciples go to claim their resources. Go get what’s yours."

The Eight Ancestors patted Andre’s shoulder.

"Go? How am I supposed to do that?"

Andre looked at the Eight Ancestors and spread his hands helplessly.

"I don’t have anything on me to prove my identity. You’re just sending me over like this? Are you sure they won’t just grab me?"

Andre said to the Eight Ancestors in exasperation.

"Ah, I forgot about that. It’s just been the few of us with you these past few days. The others don’t even know you exist yet."

Andre’s words finally jogged the Eight Ancestors’ memory. He immediately patted himself down and handed a silver token to Andre.

"Take this token and crush it. Once it’s crushed, your information will be registered with the family."

The Eight Ancestors placed the token in Andre’s hand.

Andre looked skeptically at the Eight Ancestors before crushing the token.

The moment he crushed the token, a silver light flashed in his hand and vanished. A warmth then spread across his palm.

He looked down and saw a wound had appeared in the center of his palm.

Blood began to well up from the gash, but before more than a few drops could fall, the bleeding stopped, and the blood flowed back into the wound.

"With a body like yours, I truly have no idea how many bizarre Abilities you possess."

The Eight Ancestors looked at the healed wound on Andre’s hand and nodded.

The Token he had just given Andre contained a trace of his Power.

Although this trace of Power was exceedingly faint, it was there.

He never expected that the wound this trace of Power inflicted on Andre would heal so quickly.

"I’m off, then."

Andre gave the Eight Ancestors a final, dubious look, then turned and flew toward the palace.

The moment Andre left, the figures of Ang Jones and Antaromen appeared before the Eight Ancestors.

"Did you add the Power of Truth to that Token?"

Ang Jones, cradling the Wheel of Destiny, regarded the Eight Ancestors with a grave expression.

"No. Although he’s become a Morning Star Wizard and has that bizarre Chaos Magic Power in his body, the Power of Truth is not something he can withstand right now. I only added a mere hint of its aura to the Token."

The Eight Ancestors shook his head, seeing Ang Jones’s serious expression.

"You should have added a trace of the Power of Truth to the Token,"

Ang Jones and Antaromen exchanged a look, then looked at the Eight Ancestors and said seriously.

"Are you two out of your minds?"

"The Power of Truth? Do you think Andre could withstand that?"

The Eight Ancestors stared at them in confusion. ’How long has it been since I left them? They’ve gone completely mad!’

"Here, look at this!"

Ang Jones and Antaromen glanced at each other again, and Ang Jones immediately cast forth the Wheel of Destiny.

The Wheel of Destiny slowly unfurled, and a series of images appeared within the Ring of Destiny.

"These are the worlds that were assimilated by the great gray river Andre transformed into."

"According to our analysis, traces of Chaos Magic Power have appeared in all these worlds. Furthermore, something like this has also appeared."

With a wave of his finger, Ang Jones conjured the image of a gray celestial pillar before the Eight Ancestors.

"What is this?"

The Eight Ancestors stared at the gray celestial pillar and blinked, clearly baffled.

"This is a change brought about by Andre’s Chaos Magic Power. The Law of Chaos has begun to manifest in those worlds."

"It’s only illusory for now, but illusions can become reality. I’m sure you understand that much."

"So, you’ve come to tell me that Andre’s Chaos Magic Power has increased the potential of these worlds," the Eight Ancestors said, looking at Ang Jones.

Dealing with the most cunning man in the family was exhausting, and the Eight Ancestors was starting to feel it.

"It’s more than just an increase in potential. It means Level 7 Worlds will begin to appear in the Star Realm," Antaromen said seriously, looking at the Eight Ancestors.

"Level 7 Worlds appearing in the Star Realm... isn’t that a good thing?"

The Eight Ancestors waved his hand dismissively.

Even if Level 7 Worlds really did appear in the Star Realm, the family had the strength to conquer these nascent worlds and make them their own.

"A Level 6 World can produce creatures at the Level 6 Limit."

"So if a Level 7 World appears, what kind of creatures do you think it will be able to produce?"

"Level 7 Creatures? Or Level 8 Creatures?"

Antaromen said intently, his gaze fixed on the Eight Ancestors.

"Alright, that’s enough from you two. You think I don’t know what you’re getting at with all this ’illusions become reality’ nonsense?"

"You just want Andre to stay with the family to induce more of these world-changing phenomena so you can study them."

"By studying that process, you hope to advance and reach the same Realm as the old Ancestors."

"As for whether those worlds will actually reach Level 7... you only think it’s a possibility."

"We’re not just doing this for ourselves! It’s for the good of the entire family, the entire Wizard Race!" Ang Jones retorted, looking at the Eight Ancestors.

"Go tell that to the Ancestor. He has something far more important than these changes you’ve discovered. And that *something* also came from Andre."

"Yet the Ancestor has instructed Andre to collect his resources as a Morning Star Wizard and prepare to journey to the Abyss."

The Eight Ancestors directly invoked Andeta’s name, looking at Ang Jones.

At the mention of Andeta, Ang Jones and Antaromen sullenly shut their mouths.

In the family, everyone had to obey the Ancestor’s will.

Since the Ancestor had already made arrangements for Andre, his journey to the Abyss was set in stone unless they could convince the Ancestor to change his mind.

"Well? Is there anything else?"

The Eight Ancestors looked at the two silent men and sighed.

"No."

The two turned and departed, leaving the Eight Ancestors to wonder whether they were going to study those worlds or to find the Ancestor Andeta and discuss Andre’s fate.

The Eight Ancestors watched them go and sighed helplessly.

But for now, none of that was his concern.

His current mission was to protect Andre. That was the task Andeta had given him as they left the great hall.
