Chapter 402: Chapter 403: Resources

Andre landed at the entrance to the great hall.

Countless people were constantly coming and going from within.

But what Andre found strange was the wide variety of clothes these people wore.

Only two groups had relatively uniform attire: one group wore golden Magic Robes, and the other wore silver Magic Robes embroidered with black patterns.

Everyone else wore all sorts of different clothes.

"Newcomer?"

A guard standing by the entrance asked as soon as Andre landed. Andre nodded, then pointed to the ceaseless flow of traffic and asked the guard,

"Are all these people from the family?"

"No. When members of the family come here, they all wear the uniform Magic Robes issued by the family. The rest are people from other worlds who come to our family to purchase tomes or exchange for items."

The guard looked at Andre and shook his head.

"I see." Andre nodded. He followed the crowd into the hall. As soon as he entered, hundreds upon hundreds of towering portals appeared before him.

’What are these?’

Andre stared at the portals and blinked, not understanding what they were. Nevertheless, he chose one and walked through it.

As he passed through the portal, a force carried him far from the hall and into a separate space.

"This is a trading space for Morning Star Wizards."

After he arrived in this space, a young woman saw how clueless Andre looked and explained.

"Which way is for family members?"

Andre surveyed the space. With his current Realm and perception, there was nothing here that could stand in his way.

"For the family, head east."

The woman pointed the way for Andre. He nodded and headed in that direction.

Before long, he saw an old man dozing off in a rocking chair, a book clutched to his chest.

Andre walked over to the old man and coughed. The elder’s eyes snapped open instantly.

"Family member?" the old man asked, slowly sitting up straight to look at Andre.

"An Ancestor sent me to collect all the resources, from the apprentice stage up to the Morning Star Wizard Realm."

Andre said, nodding at the old man.

"Another stray Bloodline returning to the family!"

The old man couldn’t help but shake his head upon hearing Andre’s words.

"From the sound of it, have there been a lot of stray Bloodlines returning to the family recently?"

Andre asked immediately.

"Not that many. Just seven or eight of them, all returned within the last hundred years."

The old man shook his head and turned to get Andre the resources he was supposed to receive.

But just as the elder was about to open the family vault, he suddenly froze.

"What’s wrong?"

Andre asked quickly, seeing the old man come to a sudden halt.

’Is this allocation for real? The family vault couldn’t have made a mistake, could it?’

The old man’s eyes widened as he stared at the information returned by the family vault.

One Battle Moon, two Morning Star Witchcraft Artifacts, and enough resources to create five more Morning Star Witchcraft Artifacts.

And that wasn’t all: two War Servants—one a Level 5 Creature and the other a Level 4 Creature—plus fifty Morning Star Magic Plants!

’This allocation is nearly on par with what a Moonlight Mage receives. Just what is this kid’s background?’

The old man turned back to look at Andre in astonishment, but in the end, he confirmed the request and withdrew the resources.

"All the resources have been placed in this Secret Realm Ring. You can check it yourself."

The old man handed the Secret Realm Ring to Andre, but just as he did, a Necklace suddenly materialized behind him.

"What’s this?"

Hearing the disturbance, the old man turned, took the Necklace in his hand, and read the information on it.

After he finished reading, the old man’s face contorted.

"Three Moonlight Witchcraft Artifacts, two Secret Realms, and a Level 5 World?"

’Does the family have so many Level 5 Worlds to spare?’

The old man muttered to himself, staring at the Necklace.

He recalled how, in his youth, he had tried to apply for a Level 5 World, and it had taken a tremendous amount of effort.

But in the end, he failed to have a Level 5 World assigned to his name. The final result was that he only received a hundred years of exploration rights in one.

"Which Ancestor are you descended from?"

The old man asked curiously as he handed the Necklace to Andre.

"No, I’m not. I just happened to awaken an ancestor’s Bloodline. My direct ancestor has been dead for three thousand years."

Andre shook his head at the old man, taking the Secret Realm Ring and the Necklace in his hands.

"You’re not? How is that possible?"

The old man clearly didn’t believe Andre, but seeing that he was unwilling to elaborate, the elder didn’t press the matter.

"There isn’t any more, is there?"

Andre looked at the old man in the rocking chair, confirming one last time.

"There’s no more. If there were, you think I wouldn’t give it to you?"

As he spoke, yet another item materialized behind him.

"Huh? What is going on today? Why is it coming out piece by piece?"

The old man turned and stared wide-eyed at the newly appeared item.

"A Red Sun Scroll? Which Ancestor spared no expense to personally inscribe one for you?!"

The old man’s voice trembled as he felt the terrifying Power contained within the Scroll, but he still handed it to Andre.

Andre just shook his head at the old man; he also had no idea which Ancestor had given it to him.

"Now... there’s no more, right?"

Andre put the Scroll away and looked at the old man, confirming again.

"There shouldn’t be any more... right?"

At this point, the old man himself was a little unsure.

This was the first time something like this had happened since he had been put in charge of distributing the family’s resources.

"Good, as long as there’s no more."

Andre nodded and waited a moment longer. After confirming that no new items were appearing for him, he finally left the space.

’Which Ancestor’s direct descendant has come out of the woodwork?’

The old man watched Andre’s departing figure and scratched his head in vexation.

But since this involved the Ancestors, he, a mere junior member of the family, didn’t dare to investigate.

In the end, he could only bury the question in his heart.

After leaving the trading space, Andre departed from the hall and flew to the side of the Eight Ancestors.

"Did you get everything?"

The Eight Ancestors asked for confirmation as Andre flew back.

Andre nodded.

"Good. What do you plan to do first?"

he asked Andre. This was also the task Andeta had given him.

In Andeta’s view, Andre was favored by the Star Realm Will. The family should not interfere with his actions but simply let him develop freely.
