Chapter 98: Chapter 92: 1st Divine Technique Entry
Then, the Wind Pillar exploded, unleashing its energy. A visible shockwave expanded in all directions with the Wind Elemental Lord at its center. Wherever it passed, rocks shattered, sand was swept into the air, and a layer of the ground was sheared away.
Within the local Extraordinary System, this could be considered a type of Wind Forbidden Curse.
Through his Eye of True Sight, Chen Shang saw countless fragmented Wind-Thunder Elements bouncing madly within the shockwave. Every frequency overlapped and amplified each other, ultimately forming an unstoppable tide of destruction.

Chen Shang immediately extracted it. There was a considerable gap in quality between Blue entries, and this Forbidden Curse was definitely a masterwork.
Dennis was sent flying by the shockwave. His body flipped several times in the air. The moment he landed, he braced himself with Witchcraft, dissipating most of the impact, but he had clearly suffered trauma.
"You lunatic! Why are you burning your own soul? I’m just here to investigate a problem!"
Dennis cursed indignantly, gritting his teeth as he scrambled to his feet. He turned and ran. Only someone insane would fight to the death with an enraged Wind Elemental Lord.
But the Wind Elemental Lord did not let him go. Instead, it gave chase. Its body had shifted from a Wind Pillar back into a massive, irregular humanoid shape. Its speed was twice as fast as before, and every step left a huge scorched crater in the ground. Moreover, it continuously discharged lightning from its body, hurling bolts at Dennis like javelins.
When the lightning struck the ground, massive craters were blasted into the earth. Gravel and scorched soil scattered in a wide radius, while the inner ring of the impact zone was reduced to vitrified rock and soil.
Dennis dodged continuously, narrowly escaping the lightning bolts time and time again. Several holes had already been burned through his robes. Yet he didn’t panic. He even managed to conjure Thermobaric Bombs in the brief windows between evasions, throwing them back at the Wind Elemental Lord.
They were getting closer to Chen Shang, and the Wind Elemental Lord soon noticed him as well.
Chen Shang sighed. When Wizards didn’t have any major conflicts of interest, lending a hand was just a matter of convenience.
So, he pulled Natural Fury from his Space Book. Gripping it firmly, the gemstone atop the Magic Staff quickly lit up with a pale golden glow. The halo on the surface of his Secondary Magic Spring began to spin faster. Samadhi True Flame surged from the depths of the spring, flowing through his meridians into his right hand. He channeled the Samadhi True Flame into Natural Fury. Although the elements clashed, the staff still provided basic enhancement effects.
The Magic Staff’s gemstone shifted from pale gold to dark gold before suddenly flaring brightly. A thick, dark golden pillar of fire shot out from its tip, weaving and thrashing forward like an enraged serpent.
It roared and bit through the air, slamming viciously into the Wind Elemental Lord’s "waist." The elemental’s body stiffened violently. The section hit by the fiery pillar instantly evaporated, leaving a massive, scorched gap in the transparent air currents that formed its body.
"Aaaargh! You damn bugs! Die!"
A tremendous shriek tore from within the elemental, sounding like metal being ripped apart. It turned its head, "staring" at Chen Shang with its eyeless face as furious lightning churned inside its body.
Dennis also spotted Chen Shang. He paused for a second before shouting, "Friend! Help me stall this thing! I have a big gun I can use!"
Chen Shang didn’t answer with words; he responded with action. He slammed his Magic Staff onto the ground, and a second attack shot out from the gemstone.
This time, several arcing streams of fire curved around the left side of the Wind Elemental Lord’s body, wrapped behind it, and looped back, binding it several times. The Samadhi True Flame spread across the Wind Elemental Lord’s body like a burning chain, digging into its translucent torso. Every flicker of the flame drained its energy.
The Wind Elemental Lord struggled madly, its body swelling abruptly as it tried to break free from the fiery restraints. Chen Shang increased his output, causing the halo on his Secondary Magic Spring to burn from a pale gold into a bright, blinding gold.
Enormous resistance pushed back at him. Chen Shang’s arm trembled, and veins bulged on his forehead, but he still didn’t let go.
Dennis retreated to a safe distance and pulled a smooth little box from his robes. Opening it revealed a deep blue pearl resting inside. He took a deep breath and crushed the pearl.
The moment the pearl shattered, a cluster of deep blue energy poured from the fragments. It was as dense as asphalt, condensing in midair into the shape of a javelin.
The javelin wasn’t long, but its density was unbelievably high—so high that it distorted the surrounding air. Dennis grasped the javelin and hurled it fiercely at the Wind Elemental Lord. In a flash, the javelin pierced through the Wind Elemental Lord’s body, and a violent burst of frigid air bloomed!
Where the javelin had penetrated, the transparent air currents turned into milky-white Ice Crystals. The Ice Crystals spread outward from the wound, emitting crisp CRACK, CRACK sounds, much like the ice on a winter lake splitting apart.
The Wind Elemental Lord struggled violently amidst the searing heat of the flames and the freezing cold of the Ice Crystals. Its body swelled and shrank erratically, and the lightning within it flickered wildly, resembling a heart on the verge of bursting.
A few breaths later, it stopped struggling—or rather, it "congealed." The flames had burned through parts of its body, while the Ice Crystals had frozen it entirely.
Torn apart by the two extreme energies, its body broke into several chunks that plummeted from the air. They slammed into the ground, shattering into countless tiny fragments of pale blue Ice Crystals.
The Wind Elemental Lord was dead.
Chen Shang put away his Magic Staff. The halo around his Secondary Magic Spring slowly dimmed. His arm was still trembling, and his palms were slick with sweat.
