Chapter 552: Chapter 394: Power of Star Creation

After a moment of silent contemplation, Isaac shook his head and pushed the thoughts aside. It was impossible to fathom a Great Wizard with his current level of understanding; their ways of thinking were just too different.

’In that case, I might as well stop thinking about it, lest it cloud my judgment.’

As he mulled this over, Isaac followed Moens to his office, where he finally saw the core data of the long-awaited "Star Creation" project: Great Arcane Art·Star Creation!

Moens showed no intention of holding anything back. He not only presented the entire Magic Model to Isaac, but even included all the related experimental data!

Isaac glanced at Moens in surprise. The Magic Model itself wasn’t a huge deal; it was an Arcane Art, and at their level, the differences in their respective fields were quite distinct. At most, it could serve as a reference. The experimental data, however, was a different story!

It was no exaggeration to say that with this data, Isaac could extrapolate his own Legendary Mage version of the Star Creation Magic.

In response to Isaac’s surprise, Moens simply offered a faint smile, saying nothing more. He had decided to trust Isaac, and that trust had to be absolute. Otherwise, their collaboration would be meaningless.

Isaac’s eyebrows shot up. ’This feeling of not being looked down on... It’s great!’

Immediately, Isaac focused with every fiber of his being, poring over the data in his hands as he fully activated his Analysis Authority.

Soon, Isaac had a rough grasp of this Star Creation Arcane Art, which was at least Tier Six in complexity.

Of course, his grasp of it was superficial. Isaac only understood the basic principles of the Arcane Art. As a Legendary Mage, not an Arcanist, he couldn’t actually use it unless he converted it into Witchcraft.

However, his task was only to assist Moens in completing the final experiment, so this level of understanding was more than sufficient.

Just as Isaac had suspected, the Star Creation Magic was a form of Force Field Magic. It primarily relied on a massive Force Field to draw sufficient matter from the Void to form a planet. On the whole, the research was already quite complete. The only reason the official experiment had been postponed was their uncertainty about whether the process would inadvertently create a Star God.

This was why Moens had pushed aside all objections to agree to Isaac’s visit, and had then extended an invitation for him to join the research.

"You were right to postpone the formal experiment!" Isaac said, his expression grave. "The planet created by this magic will, without a doubt, become a Star God!"

Hearing Isaac’s decisive tone, Moens’s brow furrowed slightly. It wasn’t that he doubted Isaac’s judgment, but this finding was a far cry from their own calculations. According to their original projections, the odds should have been eighty-twenty.

Who could have known that the chance of failure was far worse than the twenty percent they had predicted...?

"Do you know what the problem is?" Moens’s expression turned serious. It was a well-known fact that anything involving Outer Gods was never a simple matter, especially in the field of magical research.

Often, you could never be certain if the data you calculated was the result of an Outer God’s subtle guidance. If it was, the problem was immense.

This was the fundamental reason Moens had repeatedly postponed the actual experiment. It now seemed that had been the right call.

"The reason... I’m not sure yet," Isaac said after a moment of thought. "There’s too little data, and my knowledge of Star Gods is limited. However, we can make a preliminary attempt at the ’Star Creation’ experiment, as long as we carefully control the scale. We have to take that first step eventually. We’ll never find the real cause without trying something practical."

Hearing this, Moens fell silent for a moment before nodding in agreement. "You’re right. Experimentation sometimes requires taking a few risks. You go and research information related to Star Gods. We’ll come up with a few plans for the actual experiment, and when it’s time to implement them, you can help us vet the process."

Isaac nodded, having no objection to the arrangement. He very much wanted to participate in the experiment firsthand, especially since, judging by the current progress, it looked like there were still spoils to be claimed from this "Star Creation" project.

Unfortunately, Isaac had to admit that the Arcanists were the authorities when it came to dividing labor for collaborative work. Besides, his Magic System was different from theirs; cooperating too closely would only cause more trouble.

’In that case, it’s better for us to stick to our respective tasks. It’ll be more efficient that way.’

And so, for a while after, Isaac and Moens continued their discussion. The clash of their minds, each shaped by a different Magic System, was intense and sparked a great deal of inspiration.

After their discussion, Moens had Avin find an igloo for Isaac to use as temporary lodging. The decision to invite Isaac to participate had been a last-minute one, so there wasn’t a suitable laboratory for him in the camp; one would have to be prepared.

And no matter how formidable the Arcanists’ construction skills were, they couldn’t build a laboratory suitable for Isaac in such a short amount of time. All he could do for now was wait.

After Avin left, Isaac sat at the desk in the igloo and suddenly chuckled. ’Plans really can’t keep up with change,’ he thought. His research itinerary for this trip to the Little World had been all set—he was supposed to prioritize studying the Authority Crystals. Who would have guessed such an interesting project would suddenly appear...

"The Power of Star Creation..." Isaac lifted his right hand, slowly closing it into a loose fist. A faint smile played on his lips as faint, ethereal wisps of power seemed to coalesce in his palm.
