Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 553 - 394: Power of Star Creation 2
Chapter 553: Chapter 394: Power of Star Creation 2
If Moens were here, he would have recognized at a glance that the power in Isaac’s hand was that of Great Arcane Art·Star Creation!
It was just on a much smaller scale, that’s all.
The Power of Star Creation was a magical prototype Isaac had discovered within the data Moens provided. Its magical pathways and underlying principles were fundamentally similar to those of Great Arcane Art·Star Creation.
The difference was, this was the Legendary Mage version of the Magic. Isaac had simultaneously applied the abilities of Concept and Legend within it. And the greatest difference between the Power of Star Creation and Great Arcane Art·Star Creation was—power output!
Great Arcane Art·Star Creation is a Tier Six Arcane Art. Even if casters are of an insufficient Level, as long as there are enough Arcanists and energy, it can be cast via a Magic Array. But it has one major flaw—its energy consumption is far too high!
Although it is a Tier Six Great Arcane Art, in practice, it requires at least five Tier Six Great Arcanists to have enough Magic Power to cast it!
Strictly speaking, however, this wasn’t a problem with Star Creation itself, but with Great Arcane Arts as a whole.
Arcanists currently find themselves in an awkward position. Starting from Tier Four, their Magic Power becomes insufficient—not a lack of sustainability, but an inability for their instantaneous power output to meet the demands of a Great Arcane Art.
Therefore, most Grand Arcanists today choose to equip themselves with certain items to ensure they can successfully cast their Great Arcane Arts.
Star Creation naturally shares this flaw. The difference is that a normal Tier Six Great Arcane Art generally requires only two to three Tier Six Great Arcanists, while Star Creation needs five.
In contrast, the greatest advantage of the Legendary Mage version, the Power of Star Creation, was its freedom!
Rather than a formal Magic, it was more like an innate ability. A Wizard could control the strength of the Power of Star Creation by inputting Magic Power as needed.
In other words, the Power of Star Creation could be cast by a single person without any external aids, giving it practical combat value.
So, what was the price?
The price was that its output ceiling was not high enough. In other words, the Power of Star Creation couldn’t actually be used for Creating Planets, as its power output was insufficient.
The Magic of Legendary Mages was mostly like this, placing a greater emphasis on practical combat applications.
However, Isaac hadn’t created this for its combat applications, but for an experiment. A Magic derived from the same data, producing the same effect but based on a vastly different principle, was incredibly valuable.
Especially when he could wield both of them!
Time flew by, and a week passed in the blink of an eye. During that week, before Moens and the others had even arranged their experiment, Isaac had already fully completed the Power of Star Creation with the help of Analysis.
Just as he had anticipated, while the effects were identical aside from numerical values, the underlying principle of the Magic proved to be slightly different.
The Arcane version of Star Creation is a form of gravity Magic with extremely high values. It uses immense gravity to pull matter from the Void, combines these materials in a specific order, and then compresses them repeatedly. Once the mass reaches a certain volume, it forms a planet.
At that point, even if the Star Creation Magic were removed, the immense concentration of matter would generate its own powerful gravity, sustaining the planet and even allowing it to grow!
That’s right—grow!
Isaac had figured out why Star Creation Magic created Star Gods instead of planets. The root cause was their capacity for growth!
A planetary Little World, despite being a Little World, does not grow!
Take Brurel as an example. A Tier Six expert might emerge from this Little World in the future, elevating it to a Tier Six Great World. But this would only be an elevation of the world’s rules. The planet itself would remain unchanged—or to be more precise, it would be in a state of constant decay.
This decay is simply so slow that it can likely only be perceived clearly by one standing upon the River of Time.
But Star Gods are different. They are a race, clearly divided into four stages: infancy, youth, adolescence, and adulthood. Upon reaching the fourth stage, they become true Deities—truly Immortal!
Therefore, once the Concept of Growth was bestowed upon it, things quietly began to change.
However, it was not yet known which specific component caused the emergence of Growth. The detailed experimental steps were still being outlined; after all, when Outer Gods were involved, one could never be too careful.
Isaac agreed. Besides, he needed time to collect the Power of Star God. He had to not only find its origin but also identify which Star God—or Star Gods—was pulling the strings from behind the scenes.
But to get back to the point, if Arcane Star Creation was an extremely precise, high-power instrument, then Witchcraft Star Creation was a complete black box.
This was because even though both forms of Magic were born from the same experimental data, Witchcraft Star Creation was not as simple as mere gravity Magic. Arcane Star Creation was a highly precise operation that relied on a Magic Array to attract matter and form a planet.
And what about Witchcraft Star Creation?
It worked because the data could theoretically be used to create a planet, which gave birth to the Concept of Creating Planets. The magic then leveraged this Concept to construct the planet itself!
Of course, this was the most perfect version of the Power of Star Creation that Isaac had conceptualized—one that could truly create planets. His current version was merely a Magic that possessed the Concept of Creating Planets.
Then, because it possessed the Concept of Creating Planets, it gained the power to manipulate gravity!
In other words, the logic of the two Magics was completely opposite!
Of course, this in itself wasn’t important. Such phenomena had been noticed and thoroughly studied ever since the first Arcanists appeared. The fundamental reason came down to the differences in their respective Magic Systems.
The Magic of Legendary Mages relies on the Mysterious Side. It is mostly related to all sorts of strange and unusual Concepts, with diverse sources. Mages can even derive Magic from stories and Legends.
Arcanist Magic, on the other hand, relies on Truth. It is comparatively orderly and strict, with a singular source that nevertheless encompasses all things. The single word "Truth" says it all.
Thus, what Isaac truly cared about was using the differences between these two types of Magic to identify what was wrong with the Star Creation experiment.
Only then could he make the necessary modifications and optimizations.
"Power of Star Creation..."
Isaac opened his right hand, his pupils constricting slightly. A marble-sized, orange-red orb of light appeared in his palm. The instant the orb materialized, an incredibly powerful gravitational force also emerged from the center of his palm!
Along with it came a scorching Magic Power, intense enough to burn through a Little World if left unrestrained.
This was the biggest difference in Isaac’s Power of Star Creation. Its various effects, such as gravity and the scorching Magic Power, were all realized through the Concept of Creating Planets.
The object floating above Isaac’s palm was the Sun, which was why he possessed both gravity and Flame.
’And this is just the result of having just learned it, without any deep development yet. Otherwise, I could have even more techniques... Could I even fight directly with these miniature planets?’
’Like throwing them to smash people...’
’Just the thought of it is thrilling!’
"Tsk, tsk." Shaking his head slightly, Isaac reined in his burgeoning desire for battle. He activated his Analysis Authority at full power and continued to collect data.
And so, time slowly passed as Isaac once again immersed himself in his research.
But Isaac, lost in his research, seemed to have forgotten something...
...
In the temporary Mage Tower, Shushu and Liu Li, having returned from their "Hunt," stared at the boy trembling in a corner. They were utterly bewildered. ’What’s the deal with this guy?’
’Why is he covered from head to toe in Evil God backdoors?!’
’Is this a person who grew inside a bunch of Evil God backdoors?’
Shushu and Liu Li were unsure what to make of the boy’s status. Logically, since he had been placed in the temporary Mage Tower, they shouldn’t need to be too guarded around him, but...
...the sheer number of Evil God backdoors on the guy was genuinely terrifying!
"Let him follow us for now," Shushu said to Liu Li after a moment of thought. "Master probably intends to use the Evil God backdoors on his body for something. Whatever the plan is, he’ll have to learn to control his own power first."
Liu Li nodded, her face devoid of expression. She had been thinking the same thing.
