Chapter 554: Chapter 395: Star Creation Experiment, Phase One Begins!

Meanwhile, as Shushu and Liu Li helped Isaac train the youth with the Martial God Body, Isaac and Moens’s research finally reached its most critical step—to begin creating a planet!

However, they weren’t directly creating a life-bearing planet like Brurel as originally planned. Instead, they were creating a satellite similar to the Moon from Isaac’s previous life—or what they called a secondary planet.

Of course, this world was different from his previous one. Here, existences like the Sun and the Moon weren’t celestial bodies as he knew them. Instead, they were often the Incarnation of a particular Deity or a manifestation of authority. As a result, this world’s classification of celestial bodies was not as specific as that of his past life.

This was also why Moens and the others hadn’t initially considered creating a smaller planet first. In their understanding, the concept of a satellite—a much smaller, lifeless celestial body that orbited a planet—simply didn’t exist.

Thus, "secondary planet" was the name Moens and his team gave to this type of smaller celestial body.

They didn’t call it a "secondary planet" instead of coining a new term out of laziness. Rather, it was because after reviewing the preliminary data calculated by Moens and his team, Isaac discovered that even a satellite of this class had a chance of becoming a Star God!

This was a crucial reason why Moens’s group designated this as the first stage of their experiment. It wasn’t that they couldn’t aim for something even smaller, but if the celestial body’s volume were any lower, it would have zero chance of becoming a Star God—absolutely none.

It would be nothing more than a colossal rock with a somewhat unique structure.

The first stage of the Star Creation experiment progressed swiftly. Moens and his team’s research had already reached its final phase, and they were on the verge of conducting the ultimate planet creation experiment. Even without Isaac’s participation, Moens had already been navigating the bureaucracy, applying for a Demigod Great Arcanist or a Demigod Mage to oversee the experiment and ensure its safety.

Consequently, all the necessary materials had long been prepared. For this first stage, they simply needed to scale back the originally planned provisions.

Of course, this meant the project’s budget would inevitably increase once more!

And the additional cost was still an astronomical figure!

But things had already progressed to this point; asking Moens to give up now...

He really wasn’t about to do that.

Besides, the Truth Association wouldn’t agree to it either. Once this research succeeded, Moens’s path to becoming a Tier Six Great Arcanist would be completely clear!

An Arcanist’s advancement wasn’t like a Legendary Mage’s; there were few shortcuts. They could only rely on themselves, grinding and studying little by little. From Tier One to Tier Four, one might be able to take a few shortcuts by learning existing Arcane Arts to advance. But from Tier Five onward, an Arcanist had to construct entirely new Great Arcane Arts on their own.

It wasn’t that existing Great Arcane Arts couldn’t be learned—they could—but they couldn’t be used for advancement. Isaac, not being an Arcanist, was unsure of the exact reason. He could only surmise that it was likely similar to the rules for advancing to a Great Wizard.

After all, the path of a Legendary Mage was clearly less convenient and advanced than that of an Arcanist, so why were so many new Legendary Mages still emerging?

Aside from issues of Magic Power aptitude, the other reason was that, so far, only Legendary Mages could advance to become Great Wizards!

Of course, this was also related to the fact that the Arcanist discipline was still young; there hadn’t been enough time for such a figure to rise. However, since the art of the Arcanist itself could be called a Great Creation, it surely met the necessary conditions. It was just that everything was still being researched.

In any case, for the Truth Association, a Tier Six Great Arcanist was well worth cultivating with all their resources.

As it stood, Moens’s promotion to Tier Six was a sure thing. The Great Arcane Art: Star Creation was, by definition, a Tier Six Great Arcane Art!

Moreover, it was a particularly high-caliber one. Once the experiment was complete, Moens would only need to create one more Tier Five Great Arcane Art. After that, his advancement would simply be a matter of accumulating enough Magic Power and Spiritual Power.

As for a Tier Five Great Arcane Art...

Research of that level wasn’t a problem for someone like Moens. Besides, even if he were short on ideas and in a rush to advance, he could always derive a Tier Five Great Arcane Art by deconstructing a component or two from the Star Creation experiment.

Of course, any Arcanist with a shred of ambition, like Moens, wouldn’t choose that path. A Great Arcane Art, being an Arcanist’s Core Magic, was exceptionally special. Unlike a Legendary Mage’s Talent Witchcraft, which had limited room for growth, it was more akin to a Legendary Mage’s [Legend]—its growth ceiling was incredibly high!

Theoretically, a Tier Six Great Arcanist could possess six distinct Tier Six Great Arcane Arts!

Regardless of whether one could cast them all at once, the tactical value of having at least six highly-controlled Tier Six Great Arcane Arts was immense!

It was no exaggeration to say they could utterly dominate any given Tier Six Deity.

This alone revealed the great importance the Truth Association placed on Moens.

In an ice-covered camp in Brurel’s Antarctic region, Isaac followed a visibly excited Avin out of the central ice hut. They headed toward a nearby iceberg, inside of which was hidden a World Gate. This experiment was to be conducted in outer space.

This was only logical. After all, even a new planet would possess powerful gravity. If one were to appear on the surface of Brurel...

...it would be an unprecedented catastrophe for the planet’s ecosystem!

Therefore, the experiment could only be conducted in the Boundless Void. Furthermore, holding the experiment there would make it easier for the Truth Association’s Tier Five Great Arcanists to intervene and control the situation if necessary.
