Chapter 557: Chapter 396: Celestial Body: The Earth-Moon System (Part 2)

This was an Authority Magic effect that the Mad Witches of old were quite fond of. But as they stopped obtaining Authority from the Outer Gods, this type of magic gradually faded into obscurity.

Now, Isaac was likely the only one who still used it.

Of course, what Moens didn’t know was that the most important feature of Isaac’s Authority Magic: Eye of Omniscience wasn’t its ability to fully unleash his Authority Power. He had already solved that particular problem back when he first fused with the Authority Crystal.

After all, his Analysis Authority was unlike others. It was used with absurd frequency in magical research, and it would be far too inconvenient to have to rely on an Authority Magic every time.

For Isaac, the most important function of the Eye of Omniscience was that it acted as an external data repository. It could connect directly to his Dimension World, allowing all data from its Analysis to be imported directly. This bypassed the need to process the information through his own mind as he had done previously.

Ordinarily, this wouldn’t have mattered much to Isaac. But the Star Creation experiment was exceptionally important, and keeping his mind clear was crucial at this moment.

After casting the Eye of Omniscience, Isaac released the Magic Staff in his hand, letting it float behind his head. Emitting a faint, crimson glow, it served as a channel connecting the Eye of Omniscience and his Dimension World.

At the sight of this bizarre scene, everyone present—except for Moens and Avin, who was almost used to such things—felt their hearts lurch. It was as if their very minds were being tainted...

However, as members of Moens’s research team, they were highly professional. Even though Isaac’s Magic made them uncomfortable, they suppressed their unease, quickly entered their professional mindset, and began their final checks.

Soon, the final checks were complete. All systems were nominal. The experiment officially began!

A Magic Array in the Void slowly lit up, and four colossal Elemental Gates gradually materialized. Surging torrents of the four elements—earth, water, fire, and wind—converged. Under Moens’s control, they rapidly merged into pure Magic Power, which he then injected into the Magic Array as energy to activate the Great Arcane Art: Star Creation!

Throughout the entire process, Isaac remained motionless, simply standing to one side, quietly watching and sensing.

According to Moens’s plan, the experiment as a whole didn’t require Isaac’s intervention. His role would only come into play if the experiment spun out of control—if the process of Creating Planets instead began to create a Star God.

That was when Isaac was supposed to step in. Until then, he was merely an observer.

The experiment progressed very smoothly. After all, Moens and his team had run the relevant calculations countless times. Everything was proceeding in an orderly fashion.

Soon, the Magic Array was fully charged, and the experiment reached its most critical moment.

Isaac, in turn, closed his eyes, seemingly sensing something with great focus. He was attuning himself to the Concept of Star Creation. For him, this task was second in importance only to controlling the Star God.

This was a key reason why Isaac had cast the Eye of Omniscience beforehand—to collect data from the experiment.

The reason was that Isaac had his own Star Creation Magic. Unlike an Arcane Art, his Witchcraft required the continuous collection of the Concept of Star Creation to advance, incorporating it to make the magic more complete.

’If he succeeds, perhaps one day his own Star Creation will be able to truly create planets.’

Everything was still an unknown.

And that was precisely what made it worthy of Isaac’s research.

Meanwhile, Moens no longer had the luxury of paying attention to Isaac. The experiment had reached its most critical moment.

With the infusion of Magic Power complete, the Magic Array flared with a blinding light!

And then, in a flash, it was gone!

The massive Magic Array vanished without a trace. But this was not a sign of failure. The instant the array disappeared, an immense gravitational force erupted from its central point.

Under the pull of that immense gravity, innumerable substances were wrenched from the Void.

At this sight, Moens’s expression grew taut. Wielding a slender Magic Wand in his right hand, he waved it continuously through the air, guiding the matter wrenched out by gravity into its designated positions.

Star Creation via Arcane Art differed from Star Creation via Witchcraft. It was an incredibly precise form of Magic, so the entire Casting process was not only lengthy but also demanded the Caster’s undivided attention, unlike a Wizard who merely needed to issue a command.

Of course, this complexity came with the advantage of higher precision. For the same effect, an Arcane Art was typically more practical than Witchcraft.

This was especially true for Magic of the Creation type.

Take Golem Science and Magic Potion Science, for example. The former had left Legendary Mages so far in the dust they couldn’t even see its taillights.

The latter, Magic Potion Science, now completely dominated the low- and mid-tier markets. While the potions of Legendary Mages were still a cut above in terms of raw effect, there was a catch...

The Arcanists’ productivity was incredible; their assembly-line production speeds utterly crushed those of the Legendary Mages.

Furthermore, even in high-end Magic Potion Science, the gap between them and the Legendary Mages was continually shrinking.

As time passed, Moens’s expression grew increasingly grim. More and more matter was being wrenched forth by the gravity, making it progressively harder for him to control.

In that moment, Moens was more thankful than ever for his decision to cast aside his prejudices and invite Isaac to the team. ’Without him,’ he thought, ’this experiment would have failed long ago.’

’Not at the stage of the Star God’s coalescence, but far earlier!’

’It would have failed during the formation of the celestial body itself!’

Previously, their attention had been so completely focused on the Star God that they had all subconsciously overlooked a crucial detail: Star Creation was a process. It wasn’t as simple as casting a spell and letting it run its course. One had to manipulate the matter, guiding it into the proper positions to form the specific structure of a planet.

Otherwise, the result would be nothing more than a colossal rock.

Thankfully, because they had reduced the experiment’s scale, Moens was still able to manage with his own power, even though he hadn’t specifically focused on enhancing that particular ability. He could hold steady, for now.

’At least this experiment won’t fail because of this oversight,’ Moens thought. ’But I’ll have to pay more attention to this in the future.’

’It should be an easy problem to solve, though, especially with the data from this run...’

The thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant. Moens didn’t let his focus waver, still maintaining the Star Creation process. Soon, however, as the celestial body gradually took shape, he began to relax his control.

The celestial body was now beginning to generate its own gravity, spontaneously accreting various materials into their proper places. Seeing this, Moens nodded in satisfaction.

But what satisfied him most was that the celestial body showed no signs of undergoing Star Divinity.

Although they would later need to create multiple celestial bodies that undergo Star Divinity to study its mysteries, that was a separate research project. For now, this body had already proven his theory correct!

’The Great Arcane Art: Star Creation is a success!’

’Our work is done for now. What’s left is just the tedious but simple job of collecting data. The remaining part, the Star Divinity, will have to be handled by the expert,’ he mused.

With this thought, Moens couldn’t help but turn to look at Isaac. He was still standing with his eyes closed, deep in thought, but a peculiar resonance now emanated from him. ’It seems I’m not the only one who’s had a bountiful harvest this time,’ Moens thought.

Indeed, while Moens’s gains had been great, Isaac’s were by no means small. With the satellite’s creation now complete, the Concept of Star Creation he had been collecting was finally whole.

’A whole, complete Concept of Star Creation,’ Isaac thought. ’This will be enough to fuel my Power of Star Creation for a long, long time.’

’I won’t have to worry about it for at least a year.’

But that wasn’t the best part. These were gains he had largely anticipated. What truly delighted Isaac was the unexpected bonus.

As the satellite took shape, its own gravity smoothly fell under the influence of Brurel’s. The vast difference in mass between them caused the satellite to be rapidly drawn toward Brurel. After approaching a certain distance, it stabilized and began to orbit the massive body.

The very instant it settled into orbit, a brand-new Concept was born, which Isaac successfully captured. After careful study, he named it: Star System!
