Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 556: Chapter 396: Celestial Body: The Earth-Moon System
Brimming with internal complaints, Isaac led the still-dazed Avin through the World Gate. Upon passing through, Isaac emerged into a silent, dark Void. Not far away, Moens and the others were already waiting, maintaining a colossal Magic Array that emitted a faint blue glow.
Farther in the distance, over a dozen statues of Tier Five Legendary Knights stood, silently watching them.
Below them was a massive planet. Brurel was not like the Earth of Isaac’s past life, where only a third of the surface was land. This world didn’t even have oceans—only scattered bodies of water that couldn’t be called more than that. Even when combined, all these bodies of water made up a mere ten percent of the surface; the rest was all land!
As a result, it wasn’t predominantly blue like Earth but was instead covered in hues of yellow and green, with green being the more dominant color.
This was another difference between this Magic World and the world of his past life. Despite having no vast oceans, Brurel was connected to the Water Elemental Plane, so its precipitation was still considerable.
After a brief glance at the green planet below, Isaac looked away. A blue radiance enveloped both him and Avin as they flew together toward Moens.
In a flash, the two arrived before Moens. Avin suppressed his excitement and stood obediently behind Isaac and Moens, ready to observe the experiment.
"You’re here."
"Mm." Isaac nodded. His gaze swept across the area and landed on a High-tier Golem. He was slightly surprised, yet it also felt perfectly natural.
That was the legendary Golem said to have awakened the Analysis Authority. Though such Golems were exceedingly rare, for someone like Moens, it wasn’t an impossible treasure to acquire.
Even if he didn’t have one, the Truth Association would have certainly assigned one to him. The value of a treasure is relative. To an ordinary Tier Four Mage, an Analysis Golem would be an incredibly precious treasure, the kind that money couldn’t buy.
But to a behemoth like the Truth Association, it was a different story.
However, Isaac’s gaze only lingered on it for a moment. Its Analysis Authority was merely Tier Three, a far cry from his own. ’In the end, it’s just a hunk of metal.’
Isaac gave a disdainful smile. ’Mere Tier Three~’
Golem: ???
The nearby Golem scratched its head and glanced at Isaac in confusion. ’Why do I get the feeling this human is... a little obnoxious? Is it just my imagination?’
Retracting his gaze, Isaac extended his pale right hand from the wide sleeve of his Wizard robe. He made a grasping motion, and a silvery-white Magic Staff, its tip inlaid with a ferocious Demon Eye, appeared in his hand.
This was the Magic Staff from the Wizard’s Three-piece Set he had forged upon his promotion to Tier Three. Though he rarely used the thing, its amplification of his Magic was actually quite considerable.
It was just that Isaac rarely fought directly with Magic. The abilities he excelled at, the Magic Cannon and the Arrogant Turtle, were both Magic based on raw numerical power and didn’t benefit much from the staff’s enhancements.
In a way, Isaac was an extremist who believed that true power must come from within; he disliked relying on items to enhance his combat strength.
Thus, he hadn’t summoned the Magic Staff for combat this time, but for the experiment.
Before Moens’s astonished eyes, a torrent of Magic Power surged from Isaac’s body and poured entirely into the Magic Staff. The Demon Eye at its tip snapped open, its pupil erupting in a crimson glow!
From within this glow, delicate threads of Magic Power spilled out, weaving a magnificent, single eye in the Void!
This eye was extraordinary. Though merely a pattern drawn with Magic Power, it exuded a profound sense of intelligence...
But when Moens detected a hint of an Authority’s aura within it, his surprise subsided. It was normal for Authority Magic to have some mystical qualities, especially an Authority Magic derived from the Analysis Authority.
The only thing that truly surprised him was that Isaac could construct an Authority Magic for the Analysis Authority, and one so exquisite and ingenious at that. ’As expected of the legendary Mad Witch,’ he thought, ’he really has some skills!’
After all, this kind of support-type Authority Magic was completely different from its combat-type counterparts. The required precision was extremely high, especially for a top-tier Authority like Analysis.
That was why many Wizards—even Arcanists—used their Authority directly rather than converting it into Authority Magic.
The return on investment was simply not worth the effort. For most Wizards, creating such Authority Magic was a waste of time unless it was part of a specific research project. Otherwise, there was no point.
Of course, Moens could tell that Isaac’s Authority Magic was no exception. It could neither enhance the Authority’s depth of Analysis nor increase its speed. This Authority Magic had only one ability—to unleash the Authority’s innate power to its fullest extent.
Judged on its own, the Authority Magic was undoubtedly a failure. However, some things couldn’t be evaluated that way. Many forms of Magic were quite ordinary on their own—for example, the Temporary Divine Kingdom, or a Saint’s advent.
But when those two were combined, they became an absolutely god-tier technique!
The same was true for Isaac’s Authority Magic. The Analysis Authority he possessed far surpassed his current Level, making it difficult for him to unleash its full power under normal circumstances. But with this Authority Magic, things were different.
