Inside a forest, four figures shuttled through the dense trees nimbly, their figures moving at rapid speed.

Suddenly, the figure in the lead stopped running and raised her hand to stop the other three.

The other three immediately stopped and looked around with vigilant expressions.

"What’s wrong, Alice?" Kevin, who was at the back, asked while scanning their surroundings.

Alice didn’t answer Kevin’s question and looked to their right, her long ears twitching slightly.

Kevin and the other two followed her gaze, and soon, they felt someone coming in their direction.

Rustle! Rustle! - - - -

The rustling sound of someone passing through the bushes reached their ears, and a few seconds later, something strange came running toward them.

It was strange because, instead of a human or Magical Beast, the thing coming toward them looked like a flower.

It had dark red petals, and it was running using the support of its roots. Most shockingly, the flower had the aura of a peak Rank One Evolver.

Seeing the flower, instead of feeling tense, Kevin and the others relaxed slightly.

"It’s just a Mutated Demon Flower," Erza, a young woman holding a bow spoke with a sigh of relief. "Seeing your expression earlier, I thought something powerful was coming."

Alice shook her head and responded calmly.

"Let’s rest here to recover our energy. We will reach the target’s location soon."

Erza nodded without asking anything and shot an arrow with her bow.

Swish!

The arrow cut through the air and arrived before the Demon Flower in an instant, piercing the center of its flower bud.

"Shhh!"

The Demon Flower shrieked in pain, and dark green liquid splashed out from its torn bud.

As the green liquid fell to the ground, smoke rose, and the ground began to melt, indicating how potent the green liquid was.

Erza did not stop after shooting the first arrow, and three more arrows shot out from her bow in quick succession.

All three arrows struck the center of the Demon Flower’s bud and destroyed its core, successfully killing it.

"If it were me who attacked, I would have killed it two seconds faster than you," Liam, the last of the four spoke in a calm voice.

Erza rolled her eyes at his words and sneered.

"Then do you want to spar to see who is stronger?"

Cold sweat appeared on Liam’s forehead when he heard Erza’s words, and he immediately shook his head.

"I was kidding. No need to take me seriously."

"Coward," Kevin said in a gloating voice.

But Liam didn’t take his words to heart and began making a campfire.

As the fire illuminated the surroundings, the darkness disappeared, and their faces could be seen clearly.

Alice had long, light-blue hair and deep green eyes. The shadow of the fire flickered across her perfect, beautiful face, giving her an ethereal feel.

But the thing that stood out most about her was her long, pointy ears, which gave her beauty a different charm.

Similar to Alice, Erza, Kevin, and Liam also had pointy ears, as they were not humans but elves.

"How long until we reach our destination?" Liam asked while cooking food for them.

"It won’t be long. Just one or two hours," Alice replied as she looked at the glowing moon in the sky.

"I just hope everything goes smoothly so that we can go back as quickly as possible," Kevin said as he stretched his body.

"We are all at the peak of Rank One. Considering the target’s information, there shouldn’t be any problem," Liam said as he stirred vegetable soup in a pot. "Besides, with Alice present, what could go wrong?"

Alice frowned when she heard Liam’s words, and she spoke seriously.

"You guys should take this mission more seriously. Blind confidence is nothing but a path to doom..." She paused before adding another sentence. "Don’t forget what happened some time ago. There are many people who are even stronger than me while still being Rank One."

When the others heard Alice’s words, their expressions changed slightly, especially after she mentioned the recent incident that caused quite a stir among the elves.

Erza looked at Alice and spoke with a sigh.

"I really want to meet this person who not only conquered the entire dungeon alone just like you, but his score was even more than three times higher than yours."

Liam couldn’t help but sneer when he heard Erza’s words.

"Why do you want to meet that guy? He is nothing but a criminal who entered the trial dungeon by unknown means. I am sure he has some kind of treasure that allows him to leave and enter dungeons without being detected by anyone."

Erza smiled when she heard Liam and spoke in a teasing tone.

"Why do I feel like you are jealous of that person? After all, from his name on the leaderboard, it’s clear that he is a male."

"Why would I compare myself with a criminal?" Liam rolled his eyes. "Besides, I am sure the reason his score on the leaderboard is so high is because he used some kind of method to cheat inside the dungeon."

Kevin nodded at Liam’s words.

"I also think he cheated in some way. Otherwise, I really can’t think of how he managed to score so high inside the Skeleton Graveyard Dungeon."

Erza tilted her head slightly at their words.

"But his name does not sound like a criminal or cheater." She rested her face on her hands. "I am sure he is a handsome guy who is a hundred times more powerful and good-looking than both of you."

Liam’s mouth twitched when he heard Erza’s words.

"How can you tell he is not a criminal or cheater just by his name?"

"Woman’s intuition," Erza flipped her hair and replied coolly.

Black lines appeared on Liam’s forehead, and he had the urge to add three kilograms of salt to her soup.

Alice shook her head when she saw this and continued to monitor their surroundings so they wouldn’t get attacked suddenly.

After some time, the dinner was ready, and they all started to eat.

But suddenly, Alice stood up and looked at the sky.

When Erza and the others saw this, they also quickly grabbed their weapons and looked at the sky.

Just then, a golden light appeared in the sky.

The light was so bright that it looked as if a miniature sun had appeared in the night sky.

Alice and the others were stunned when they saw this, and their eyes widened.

A few seconds later, the golden light slowly disappeared, and a person began falling from the sky.

"Fu*k my shity life!"

All four of them heard a voice filled with irritation, and the next second—

Bang!

Gravity dragged the person down from the sky, and he crashed a few meters away from them.
