World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 130: Agility Training
"You can use any academy facility for free."
As Evan caught the token and processed Flora’s words, his eyes widened in shock.
Even Alice was stunned by Flora’s generosity and looked shocked as well. Even she had to complete tasks and earn points if she wanted to use most of the academy’s facilities, such as Thunder Mountain and many others.
But Flora had given Evan access to all of them for free.
Evan stared at the token in his hand for a few seconds before coming back to his senses and bowing to Flora.
"Thanks for your kindness."
Flora chuckled and shook her head.
"No need for that..." She waved her hand. "All right, go ahead and do your own things."
"Chancellor, my team and I want to enter the Animal Kingdom Dungeon," Alice suddenly said.
"Animal Kingdom? Are you talking about the new dungeon that appeared recently?"
"Yes..." Alice nodded. "I think it’s a good place for us to train."
"Hmm..." Flora tapped her finger on the desk before nodding. "All right. Although it’s a Rank Two dungeon, it’s not very dangerous for you guys. You can go there tomorrow."
Alice’s eyes lit up when she heard Flora’s words, and she stood up.
"Thank you, Chancellor."
Flora didn’t say anything else and signaled them to leave.
Evan and Alice came out of the office and closed the door behind them.
"That dungeon is under the academy’s control?" Evan asked once they were outside.
"Not only the Animal Kingdom Dungeon, but most of the dungeons in the surrounding area are also under the academy’s control and are used to train students. Dungeons are full of resources, so if you don’t control them properly, they can cause a lot of problems..." Alice explained. "In fact, to enter a dungeon, you not only need mission points, which you earn by completing missions, but you also need to have sufficient strength. Unless you meet the requirements, you can’t enter a dungeon."
"Mission points to enter dungeons, huh..." Evan recalled what he had heard about the academy on his planet and nodded.
According to what he knew, many of the dungeons on Planet Zarth were also under the academy’s control, and it wasn’t easy to enter them.
After hearing Alice’s explanation, he guessed that even on Planet Zarth, he would have to complete missions if he wanted to enter a dungeon.
As they walked, they reached the reception desk where Rena was sitting.
"Done reporting your mission?" She asked Alice.
"Yes." Alice nodded.
"So, are you going back, or are you staying at the academy for now?"
"I’ll be entering the Animal Kingdom Dungeon with Liam and the others tomorrow. For now, Evan wants to take a look around the academy, so I’m going to show him around."
"Entering a dungeon..." Rena raised an eyebrow before sighing. "I’d also like to go with you, but I have a lot of work to do lately."
Alice chuckled and turned around to leave.
"Then I will enjoy the dungeon on your behalf."
Rena didn’t say anything and simply rolled her eyes.
Evan followed Alice and asked curiously, "Where are we going?"
Alice thought for a moment before asking, "Since you have one hundred percent Affinity with Wind, you must be good at utilizing the power of wind. Most Wind Element users I know have good Agility. So, do you want to train your Agility?"
Evan raised an eyebrow at Alice’s words.
"Train my Agility? What do you mean?"
Alice shook her head without explaining.
"Just come with me. You will understand when we get there."
Evan followed Alice, and they used the spiral staircase to reach the third floor.
This floor was filled with many different rooms. Evan looked at the closed rooms and noticed that each one had a label attached to it.
Some were training rooms, some were battle arenas, while others were skill training rooms.
Alice moved forward and soon brought him in front of a room with the label Agility Training Room attached to its door.
Alice pushed the door open and went inside.
Evan followed her and found himself in a large hall filled with trees.
Many students were training in the room, and Evan was stunned when he saw that the trees here weren’t normal.
The students moved around some of the trees, which attacked them with their branches at extremely high speeds.
"What are these trees?" Evan couldn’t help but ask when he saw the strange, horror-like scene in front of him.
"This is a place where you can train your Agility and reaction speed. All these trees were created with the help of a Legendary-Grade treasure..." Alice said calmly. "Look closely, and you’ll notice that they’re just phantoms of trees, not real ones."
Evan was taken aback by Alice’s words and when he looked closely, he indeed noticed that the trees were slightly transparent, making them look like phantoms.
"This Legendary-Grade treasure uses the energy of Mana Cores to create phantom images of trees. These phantoms can attack students at extremely high speeds, improving their control over their bodies, reaction speed, and Agility."
Evan listened to Alice’s explanation and took a deep breath.
He had already been stunned by the Mythical-Grade artifact, so he didn’t react as strongly upon hearing about a Legendary-Grade artifact.
Since they could use Mythical-Grade artifacts, it was only natural for them to use Legendary-Grade artifacts as well, right?
"Let’s go. You can test your reaction speed and Agility with the help of these phantom trees," Alice said and walked towards a phantom tree that wasn’t being used by anyone.
"Look, it’s Alice!" As they entered the room and approached the tree, one of the male students noticed them.
"Who is that human?"
"Maybe another lowlife from the Alliance came here for a visit."
Evan could feel many hostile gazes directed at him. However, after spending some time here, his resistance to their hostility had improved greatly, so he didn’t care about what they were saying.
"Although he’s from the Alliance, I wonder why Princess Alice herself is showing him around."
"Hah! It must be because she was worried this guy would harm other people. I heard some humans don’t even leave people of the same gender alone. Princess Alice is showing him around so she can kill him immediately if he tries to contaminate our innocent people."
Black veins bulged on Evan’s forehead, and he had to take deep breaths to remain calm.
Alice coughed lightly when she heard her classmates’ absurd words and looked at Evan.
"Should I set the difficulty of the phantom tree to that of a peak Rank One Evolver?"
Evan thought for a moment before nodding.
’Let’s see how this tree works first before increasing the difficulty.’
