"Can you adjust this tree’s level to Rank Two? This Rank One tree is only good for a warm-up."

Alice’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch when she heard how loudly Evan spoke those words, as if he wanted everyone to hear them.

Though she was speechless at his antics, she didn’t say anything and went to change the level of the phantom tree.

"No way, is this human insane?"

"This bastard... He is trying to show off in front of Princess Alice to attract her attention."

"Ha! Just wait and watch. I bet he will be out in a few minutes. There’s no way he has much stamina left after training for thirty minutes earlier."

The students talked among themselves, looking at Evan with strange expressions.

The difference between Rank One and Rank Two was enormous, and the fact that Evan was challenging a Rank Two phantom tree while being only a Level 37 Evolver seemed too outrageous to them.

"Two minutes... I bet this time he won’t last more than two minutes," A Winged Elf said loudly, looking at Evan with disdain. "He has good stamina, but stamina alone isn’t enough to tackle a Rank Two phantom tree. You also need high Agility. I observed him earlier, and his Agility is nowhere near the level required to face a Rank Two phantom tree."

Evan heard the loud voice, which was more like a shout, and turned his head, giving the Winged Elf a strange look.

"What are you looking at, human?" The Winged Elf, Adam, asked when he saw Evan looking at him.

"Nothing..." Evan shook his head and asked curiously, "I heard that Winged Elves are one of the best races when it comes to Agility. Is that true?"

"Looks like you are at least not as ignorant as other humans..." Adam nodded with a pleased expression when he heard Evan.

"You heard correctly. When it comes to Agility, there are only a few people who can compete with Winged Elves."

"I see..." Evan nodded and sighed. "I am not very familiar with Rank Two Evolvers, so if a Winged Elf says I can’t last two minutes, it must be true."

Adam was very satisfied with Evan’s humble attitude and was about to give him some more advice. But before he could, Evan looked at him and spoke again.

"How about we make a bet?"

Adam was taken aback by his words and asked in confusion, "What kind of bet?"

"It’s nothing much," Evan said with a wave of his hand. "Since you just said Winged Elves are one of the best races when it comes to Agility, how about we compete against each other and see who can last longer against a Rank Two phantom tree?"

"You want to compete with me?" Adam looked at Evan with a dumbfounded expression. "Are you stupid, human? I am a peak Rank One Evolver, 14 levels higher than you and you want to compete with me in Agility even though you know I am a Winged Elf?"

Evan shrugged and looked at him mockingly.

"Don’t tell me you are afraid."

"Afraid?" Adam suddenly began to laugh, and a look of anger flashed in his eyes. "All right, I accept your bet. But what will the winner get?"

Evan wasn’t surprised by Adam’s response and asked calmly, "What do you want?"

"Let’s see..." Adam rubbed his chin and thought for a moment. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he smiled slightly.

"How about this... If I win, you don’t have to do much. Just kneel before me and say, ’I am trash.’"

Alice’s face darkened when she heard Adam’s words.

"Adam, don’t go too far."

"Of course, I am not imposing my request on him," Adam said, shaking his head. "If he doesn’t want to, he can refuse. But if he is challenging me, he should at least have that much confidence in himself."

Alice was about to say something when Evan stopped her.

"I don’t have any problem with your request," He said with a faint smile. "I will kneel before you and say whatever you want me to say if you win. But..."

At that moment, a dangerous smile that would have made Alfred proud appeared on Evan’s face, and he spoke in a low voice.

"But if I win, you will have to give me your Storage Ring and those boots you are wearing."

"Eh?" Adam was stunned when he heard Evan’s words, and the entire room fell silent.

Alice, who was standing beside Evan, also couldn’t help but look at him in shock, finally understanding what he was planning.

She looked at the stunned Adam, and a look of pity flashed in her eyes.

"You want my Storage Ring and boots if you win?" Adam asked, wanting to confirm that he hadn’t heard wrong.

"Yes, I want your Storage Ring and boots," Evan said with a chuckle. "Or what? Did you expect me to say something like, ’I want you to kneel before me and lick my boots’? Or something like that? Sorry, friend, but I am a normal person and am not into these kinds of weird things."

Adam opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out.

Inwardly, he didn’t know why, but he had a strong feeling that he was being scammed in broad daylight but he just didn’t have any proof.

Seeing his silence, Evan shook his head and gave him a look of disdain.

"So much for a Winged Elf. You are already afraid."

Adam snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Evan’s words, and a cold look flashed in his eyes.

Although he felt that something was wrong, he couldn’t back away at this point, especially when everyone was watching.

"Fine. If you want to compete, then let’s do it." As he spoke, Adam walked toward the ring right beside Evan.

Alice pursed her lips and asked in a low voice, "Are you sure it’s all right? Adam is actually one of the best even among Winged Elves when it comes to Agility."

"It’s fine..." Evan chuckled and stretched slightly. "Even if I lose, it’s not like I will absolutely have to kneel. I can just shrug it off. Princess, you wouldn’t let your friend and guest kneel in front of him, right?"

Alice’s mouth twitched when she heard Evan, and she looked at him speechlessly.

"I didn’t know you were so shameless."

"I am still a human, after all," Evan said with a laugh as he walked toward the ring. "It’s impossible for me not to inherit some of their habits."

Alice looked at him for a moment before sighing and shaking her head.

Soon, the two phantom trees were set to Rank Two, with both of their levels set to 70.

Evan and Adam stood at the edge of the ring. Just one step forward, and the trees would attack them.

"Show this human the consequences of competing against a Winged Elf in Agility!" A female Winged Elf shouted loudly.

"So exciting! I can’t wait to see that wicked human kneel."

"Are you guys ready?" Alice asked them both.

Evan and Adam looked at each other and, after nodding, stepped forward at the same time.
