Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close
Chapter 598: Is His Body as Good as Mine?
The sensation beneath her fingertips was exactly as she had imagined—rock-hard.
"Since I’m already touching it, a little poke wouldn’t hurt, right?" she thought. Thinking this, Nina Scott reached out and poked his abs twice.
"Nina!" the man’s warning voice rang out beside her ear.
Nina was just about to chuckle and brush it off when she looked down, only to see that the crotch of the man’s pants had pitched a tent at some point.
This...
Nina didn’t have much experience in this area. She had only touched his abs just now; it wasn’t like the last time when she accidentally grabbed *that* part of him. So how did it...
Panic set in. She hadn’t thought that far ahead. She stood up abruptly, but misjudging the angle, the top of her head smashed right into Miles Mercer’s chin.
"Ah!" Nina cried out in pain, nearly toppling back over from the impact.
"Careful!" Just as she was about to fall, Miles reached out, wrapped his arm around her waist, and pulled her into his embrace.
Because of this, Nina’s face ended up pressed flush against Miles’s pecs. She was stunned, and so was he.
"You..."
"I..." they blurted out simultaneously.
The heat radiating from his skin was as scorching as the blush on Nina’s cheeks. Neither of them had expected this to happen, and they both froze. Two seconds later, reality snapped back, and they hastily pushed each other away.
"I didn’t do that on purpose! I didn’t expect to bump into you either. Anyway, there’s nothing between us, we’re just bros. I... I’m going to sleep!" Nina stammered a messy excuse. With that, she flopped directly onto the bed, pretending she was actually about to sleep.
Miles looked at Nina, who was now huddled beneath the blankets, and a helpless smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
"Go to sleep. Goodnight." The man placed her phone on the nightstand next to her, buttoned up his shirt, and retreated to the sofa across the room.
Hearing Miles’s retreating footsteps, followed by the click of the lights turning off, the room plunged into darkness. It was only after a long while that Nina finally dared to peek out from under the covers. Over on the sofa, Miles made no sound, looking as if he had already fallen asleep.
"This man is really something," she thought. "Since he doesn’t like women anyway, this definitely doesn’t affect him at all."
But Nina was a normal adult woman. To say she felt nothing after seeing all that would be a lie. She gripped the blanket tightly. This was the bed Miles usually slept in, and Nina felt surrounded by his scent.
She wondered if he had done that on purpose just now. Did he know she was teasing him on purpose and decided to play along to turn the tables? Otherwise, why would he take his shirt off so readily? Did he purposely try to seduce her and bait her since he wasn’t interested in women anyway?
She had to admit, Miles’s tactic was incredibly effective. If he had kept up that seduction for just a little longer, she might have actually swooned. It truly was a shame that this man didn’t like women. Otherwise, he could have been a blessing to some lucky lady in the future. Even if it wasn’t her, it would be great for one of her fellow sisters to have him.
Nina could still feel the lingering heat on her fingertips. The texture had undeniably been fantastic. Copping a couple of feels didn’t seem like a loss at all. Though, did that count as sexual harassment? She reflected on her actions and admitted that she hadn’t been able to restrain herself—but honestly, who could?
Still, what was up with Miles just now? He...
Oh, right. Just because he didn’t like women didn’t mean he was completely frigid. It was perfectly normal for a man to have a physical reaction. So, did he... need to take care of it right now? Or did men typically just hold it in until the feeling faded away on its own?
Nina had little experience and didn’t really understand men. Now, she finally understood what it meant to have her mind in the gutter. With Miles remaining completely silent on the sofa, Nina felt even more ashamed of her impure thoughts. How could she insult the pure and disciplined Miles Mercer with such filthy ideas!
Meanwhile, over on the sofa, Miles was lying down, but he wasn’t having an easy time either. He realized that, at some unknown point in time, he had stopped hating Nina’s touch. Moreover, every time he came into physical contact with her, his body seemed to react intensely.
It was too strange. Nina was no different from other women. He must just be too familiar with her, treating her like a younger sister, just like Ivy. Yes, that had to be it!
Elsewhere, Ivy Sherwood was also in bed. Quentin Blackwood had gone to the bathroom to take a shower.
A message from Nina popped up on her screen. Nina said she wanted to show her a "treasure."
What kind of treasure?
When Ivy tapped on the image, she was greeted by a mind-blowing physique. That face... it belonged to her brother, didn’t it?
"Nina, are you and my brother... could it be..." she typed.
Could it be what she was thinking?! She recalled that Nina had separated from her brother, but it looked like they were sleeping in the same room tonight.
However, she had to admit, her brother’s physique was impeccable. He was lean, but in a way that many girls loved—well-proportioned, with defined muscles, and very pale skin. Ivy had never seen her own brother’s abs before, so she tapped the image to appreciate it for a moment.
However, before she could take more than a few glances, a deep voice murmured right beside her ear, "Is his body better than mine?"
Ivy had no idea when Quentin had finished his shower or when he had walked up right behind her. Startled, she dropped her phone onto the bed and shook her head vehemently. "I wasn’t looking at anything!"
Clad only in a bathrobe, Quentin asked, "If you weren’t looking at anything, why did you stare for so long?"
"I just opened it!"
"Is my body not good enough for you, that you have to go looking at other men?" His tone was already tinged with jealousy.
"It’s all a misunderstanding! Nina sent this to me, it’s my brother..."
Before Ivy could finish explaining, she saw Quentin effortlessly untie the belt of his bathrobe. Right in front of her, he pulled the robe open.
"You’re not allowed to look at anyone else. Look at me!"
The man’s flawless physique was displayed directly before Ivy’s eyes. Quentin’s body was indeed slightly better than Miles’s. Those perfectly sculpted, natural-looking pecs and abs were right there in front of her—a sight much better than staring at a phone screen.
"So, between his body and mine, whose is better?" Quentin pressed.
Ivy’s heart raced, and she forced herself to look away. What was Quentin doing? Did he really have to compare everything?
"There’s no comparison."
"Why is there no comparison? Do you think my body is worse than his?"
"I didn’t say that..."
"Then why are you looking at him and not me?" When it came to his physique, Quentin had never once doubted himself. He had caught a glimpse of that photo just now; it was nothing but a pale, scrawny twig.
"I wasn’t looking at him either. My phone screen is off, I didn’t see a thing."
The main issue was that Ivy was highly sensitive right now, and things between her and Quentin could easily ignite.
"Since you’re being so good, shouldn’t I reward you?" he murmured.
"Reward me with what?"
Quentin grabbed Ivy’s hand and pressed it flat against his taut, washboard abdomen, right onto his powerful muscles.
"A chance for our darling Ivy to feel her husband’s strength, of course."
