Chapter 96: The Unshakable Proof

Julian raised an eyebrow, his voice dripping with cool amusement: "Leo Vance, are you in such an eager rush to jump out and watch me make a fool of myself? Deputy Director Abraham hasn’t even uttered a single word yet. How on earth do you already know so confidently that Deputy Director Abraham thinks my answers are trash?"

Leo let out a cold, arrogant laugh. "Julian, it seems you’re still refusing to accept reality. Fine! Let’s all listen together then. Next, let us hear Deputy Director Abraham’s official evaluation of your garbage paper!"

Deputy Director Abraham picked up a bottled water sitting on the table, unscrewed the cap with trembling fingers, and took a massive gulp of water to barely suppress the raging storm of excitement inside his chest.

"Deputy Director Abraham," Leo pressed insistently, "tell us... didn’t Julian do an exceptionally poor job on this impromptu exam?"

Hearing that, Deputy Director Abraham whipped his head around and glared viciously at Leo Vance.

He had deeply disliked this arrogant adopted kid for a long time. The boy hadn’t even waited for the academic faculty to speak, yet he was already standing up here barking insults and trying to smear a once in generational genius like Julian!

Leo Vance frowned, taken aback by the deputy director’s hostile glare. What on earth does Deputy Director Abraham mean by glaring at me like that?

Deputy Director took a deep breath, a glowing smile of pure intellectual ecstasy spreading across his face as he announced loudly:

"Who the hell told you Julian’s test paper was bad?!"

"Julian is quite literally an undisputed genius!"

"An absolute, once-in-a-century genius!"

"His entire examination paper... was completed with absolute, flawless perfection!"

Deputy Director Abraham’s hands were literally trembling with emotional excitement as he held the papers.

Julian Vance’s financial investment models and theoretical frameworks were simply, breathtakingly flawless! Even Deputy Director Abraham himself admitted that he wouldn’t have been able to construct such an elegant, sophisticated solution under exam pressure.

An explosive uproar erupted across the entire lecture hall.

"Deputy Director Abraham is legendary for being the harshest, most stingiest grader in our faculty—yet Julian actually received such astronomical praise from him?! Just how phenomenal were his answers?!"

"Is Julian Vance actually... terrifyingly capable of this level of genius?!"

Sitting a few rows away, Leo Vance’s eyes widened to the size of saucers, sheer disbelief paralyzing his features. Julian is a lifelong underachiever! He’s always been a good-for-nothing who couldn’t study to save his life! How on earth could he possibly receive this kind of reverent praise from Deputy Director Abraham?!

Yet, the raw facts were projected right in front of everyone’s eyes. Leo had no choice but to accept the horrifying reality.

No matter... Leo quickly rationalized in his panic. Julian had probably only managed to answer Deputy Director Abraham’s questions correctly due to some bizarre fluke or coincidence.

What about the rest of the subjects? Especially the questions drafted by the Head of Academic Affairs, which were specifically designed to be fiendishly, impossibly difficult! The score the academic director awarded him on those sections had to be abysmally low.

If Julian’s cumulative total score across all subjects failed to cross the mandated threshold of 480 points, he would still decisively lose his high-stakes bet with the academic director and be permanently expelled from Capital University!

Thinking of this, Leo Vance felt a sudden surge of relief wash over him.

Julian Vance raised an eyebrow, turning his gaze toward Leo with a cool, mocking smirk. "Leo Vance, what do you have to say now? Isn’t this exact outcome identical to what I told you? Deputy Director Abraham didn’t think my exam was trash at all. Your eager, premature outburst just made you look like an absolute clown."

Leo forced a stiff, unnatural smile across his face. "Brother... I’m just genuinely so happy and relieved for you that you managed to solve those difficult questions."

Beneath that fake smile, however, Leo’s eyes darkened into a venomous glare. Julian, don’t get too arrogant just yet. It’s not over by a long shot. There are still four more examination sets left to grade. I refuse to believe you possess the monstrous talent to ace every single subject!

Meanwhile, Principal Smith felt a massive, suffocating weight lift completely off his chest.

Beaming brightly, the principal stepped forward and asked, "Deputy Director Abraham, what numerical score did you award Julian Vance for your subject?"

Deputy Director Abraham reverently held up the graded test paper, pointing to the top margin. There, inked in bold red pen, sat a crisp, immaculate number: 100.

Deputy Director Abraham smiled warmly, his eyes shining with professional admiration. "Julian Vance’s exam paper is an absolute masterpiece of academic rigor and theoretical innovation."

"Therefore, I am awarding Julian Vance a full, unreserved score of 100 points!"

The surrounding students stared at Julian with an entirely new level of awe. Their eyes held not only shock, but deep, unadulterated intellectual reverence.

Nearby, Sean couldn’t help but clap enthusiastically, cheering aloud: "Damn! I suddenly realize that calling you ’Julian’ doesn’t feel right for me anymore. From now on, you’re officially ’Brother Julian’!"

Julian chuckled softly, raising an eyebrow.

Being hailed as an undisputed top academic genius actually felt pretty satisfying.

Off to the side, Secretary Evelyn looked completely dazed, muttering in a daze: "Is Young Master Vance... really this monstrously overpowered?"

If he cleared this subject effortlessly, the remaining subjects surely wouldn’t be too shabby either.

Suddenly, a wave of profound panic hit Secretary Evelyn: Oh no... wait! Earlier this morning, she had casually blurted out to Victoria Sterling that if Julian managed to secure first place in the formal exams, she would willingly go a whole month without eating meat!

Secretary Evelyn’s diet consisted almost entirely of premium steaks and gourmet meat dishes. Forcing her to survive on vegetarian food for thirty days straight was equivalent to pure, psychological torture!

Waaah...

She instantly regretted opening her big mouth. She should never have doubted Young Master Vance’s hidden terrifying potential!
