"Daoist, I've already told your fortune, you will face imprisonment, what's wrong? Do you believe it now?"

Dirk Carter walked up to him and asked coldly.

Bruno Golding roared, "You deceived me, you set me up, everyone, come judge this, the police are arresting people without cause because they fear I might expose secrets, everyone, judge for me."

The onlookers looked at each other, perhaps deeply misguided.

An elderly woman stepped forward.

"Officer, this Daoist Bruno Golding is the Living Deity of Pearson Temple, you arresting people recklessly will bring retribution."

"Yeah, what's your reason for arresting people? Is there no law left?"

Seeing this, others also stepped forward, blocking the police.

It's evident.

A fraud like Bruno Golding severely harms the minds of the public.

Seeing the situation spiraling out of control.

Dirk Carter jumped onto a stone table in the garden.

He shouted aloud, "Villagers, don't worry, since everyone has questions, let me explain."

Then.

He pointed at Daoist Bruno Golding.

And said, "This Daoist you revere so much, real name Bruno Golding, only elementary education, at 19, sentenced to one year of reeducation through labor for molesting women, at 22, sentenced to four years in prison for fraud, at 27, again sentenced to one and a half years for fraud, at 30, sentenced to five years for rape."

At 36, Bruno Golding worked at a construction company.

This company took on the renovation of a temple.

During that time, Bruno Golding encountered Daoist culture.

After skimming through a few Daoist books, he went to Pearson Temple on Phoenix Peak.

Pearson Temple was dilapidated with no resident Daoists.

He exploited some people's ignorance.

Manufacturing a few mysterious events to showcase his abilities.

Since then, Pearson Temple gained popularity, during which he used bribery to acquire a Daoist certificate, took on the name Daoist Bruno Golding, and began his career of fraud disguised as a Daoist.

After recounting Bruno Golding's history.

Dirk Carter took a stack of papers from Elbert Rivers.

He held up the paperwork and said to the crowd, "Villagers, take a good look, this is Bruno Golding's bank deposit, a total of 40 million. Where did this money come from? It's all your incense money. You think Bruno Golding is Daoist Bruno, but in fact, he owns seven properties in the city, aside from a legal wife, he keeps three mistresses. Do you really think he is a dedicated monastic?"

Astonishment rippled through the crowd.

When they saw his bank balance, everyone was dumbfounded.

Dirk Carter jumped down from the stone table.

He approached the woman who was "charmed" earlier and said, "Ma'am, come with me."

The woman, puzzled, followed Dirk Carter into the room where she had bathed earlier.

Dirk Carter pointed to the bucket and asked, "Did Bruno tell you the water inside is Holy Water?"

"Yes, that's what he said,"

The woman nodded.

Dirk Carter opened the panel behind the faucet, revealing a water purifier.

The woman was stunned.

The so-called "Holy Water" was merely filtered through a water purifier.

Recalling the violation from Bruno earlier.

The woman suddenly understood.

She dashed out of the room, ignoring the police in front, and clawed at Bruno.

If not for police intervention, Bruno would have been in trouble today...

His true identity exposed.

Bruno was speechless.

Amidst curses from the devotees, he was finally escorted into the police car and taken away from Pearson Temple...

But the matter wasn't over.

If Bruno Golding was the culprit, Frederick Eames in Riverwood District of Silverwood City was the real villain.

At around eleven in the morning.

Frederick Eames was in his office humming a tune, smoking.

Suddenly, a rapid knock sounded at the door.

"Come in."

Frederick Eames called out.

The door opened and Crew Shelby, the district office director, walked in.

"Oh, it's you, Crew, what's up?"

Frederick Eames asked.

Crew Shelby said, "Secretary General Carter is calling, saying that Secretary General Carter is coming to Riverwood District for inspection."

"Oh? When?"

Frederick Eames asked.

Crew Shelby said, "The inspection team has already departed."

Frederick Eames immediately stood up and said, "Such urgency? Arrange things quickly, Dirk Carter is not easy to deal with, we need to take this seriously."

Crew Shelby's eyes flickered, hesitating to speak.

Frederick Eames sensed something was wrong.

He asked, "What is it? You seem to have more to say?"

Crew Shelby swallowed and said, "Secretary General Carter's group has already gone directly to Veridian Ridge Town."

Frederick Eames was shocked.

He asked, "Veridian Ridge Town? For what?"

As soon as the question left his mouth.

He shuddered.

Suddenly looked up, and asked, "Going to Verdant Court?"

"It wasn't specified in the call, but I guess close to it."

Crew Shelby said.

Sweat began to bead on Frederick Eames' forehead.

After all, Dirk Carter's handling of Griffith Payne had just recently ended, and now heading straight to Verdant Court seemed ominous.

After some consideration.

He sighed heavily, and said, "Arrange a car, I'll be down shortly."

"Alright."

Crew Shelby nodded and turned to leave.

Frederick Eames quickly pulled out his phone, his hands trembling, dialed a number.

As soon as the call connected.

He cried out, "Brother-in-law... brother-in-law... you have to save me... you must save me..."

Around half-past eleven.

Three vehicles from the Disciplinary Commission arrived slowly at the gate of the unfinished Verdant Court.

Once the car doors opened.

From the first car stepped out Lane Quincy, the deputy secretary of the city committee.

In the following car, Dirk Carter got out.

From the third car came Dustin Quill, member of the Silverwood City Committee and deputy mayor.

Though not a standing committee member.

In the city government, Dustin Quill is responsible for agriculture and rural affairs, and Dirk Carter had Lane Quincy invite him along under the pretense of an inspection, to witness the tragic conditions of Southgate Village firsthand.

Passing through the gap in the iron wall.

All present were shocked by the scene before them.

Even Lane Quincy hadn't anticipated that, within Silverwood City's jurisdiction, such a "hell on earth" could exist.

Basic infrastructure was practically nonexistent.

The sanitary condition was extremely alarming.

Elderly cooked with makeshift stoves from bricks over dirt.

Children played in sewage-filled muddy fields.

It's hard to imagine such a scenario unfolding in the 21st century Silverwood City.

Those unaware might think they've time-traveled.

"Gentlemen, what do you feel seeing this?"

Dirk Carter asked.

"Even though I was prepared mentally, it's beyond expectations."

Lane Quincy sighed.

Dirk Carter turned to the sweat-covered Dustin Quill and asked, "And you, Mayor Quill?"
