A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire
Chapter 1561: It Couldn’t Possibly Be Mu Yan, Right?
Like Mu Yan?
Everyone paused, then many people laughed.
“How is that possible? Why would a big star like Mu Yan come here? She’s holding a press conference in Upper City today. Unless she rushes over after the meeting, which would be madness, coming to a place like this.” Someone analyzed.
“Shh, don’t let the boss hear that.” Someone quickly reminded.
Just now, the boss said that it’s forbidden to speak ill of Mu Yan here. Although everyone found the boss’s peculiar rules speechless, it’s best not to be too arrogant on someone else’s territory, so let’s follow the rules.
The person also realized the seriousness of the situation, glanced around, and seeing the boss wasn’t there, continued, “Anyway, I don’t think it can be Mu Yan.”
“Alright, alright, it was just a dream.” The girl said, not without regret.
Upstairs, in the room, the woman entered, closed the door, took off her hat and mask, revealing a delicate face—it was Mu Yan herself.
She looked around; the red brick wallpaper exuded a retro vibe, and the sunflowers on the table added some brightness to the room.
The room was simply furnished, with a bed, a rattan chair, a coffee table, and another bedside cabinet.
She lay down on the bed, intending to relax.
Soon, her phone rang.
She picked it up and answered, “I’ve arrived, everything went smoothly, don’t worry.”
She tossed the phone aside, looked at the ceiling, her mind recalling the scene from her first visit here.
At sixteen, all the colors were like a fairy tale, and the hue of sunflowers was the brightest. She especially loved them, so back then, she stayed here for a few more days.
Then… she closed her eyes, a smile appeared on her face, as if she thought of something beautiful.
In the afternoon, the sunlight wasn’t too strong, travelers had rested well, and were ready to go out for sightseeing.
As they left their rooms, they saw a person emerging from the room at the far east end, still wearing a hat and mask, holding a bag, seemingly also ready to go out.
“If you want to know if she’s Mu Yan, you could go up and ask.” A girl nudged her friend with her elbow.
“Don’t, it would be so awkward if she isn’t.” The girl said, “Alright, let’s go, or it’ll be dark soon.”
Leaving the lodge, Mu Yan stood at the entrance, surveying the surroundings.
She hadn’t been here for a long time; the place had changed a lot. Originally, there were just a few houses, but now it’s become a street full of guesthouses, with lots of shops. There are many visitors this time of year, many come just to see the sunflowers, while other attractions have become secondary.
Mu Yan walked along the street; many ethnic minorities lived nearby, so their clothes and accessories had a distinct ethnic style. Wandering like this, it didn’t feel far when she reached the place known for sunflowers.
Unlike before, the sunflowers here could now be described as a sea of flowers, stretching as far as the eye could see. The golden flower disks looked like smiles under the sunlight; just a look could disperse all the gloom in one’s heart.
And this sunflower field was now guarded, people weren’t allowed to enter, so one could only observe from the outside.
Mu Yan originally came to see the place where she used to sketch. From her view, a pavilion had been built there, standing out amidst the sea of flowers, like a spot designed for fairies to rest.
A girl walked past her, whispering, “I heard this whole area was bought by a rich man, all these sunflowers were planted by him, supposedly as a gift for his future wife—wow, it’s so romantic just to think about it.”
“You must have read too many fairy tales. I don’t believe it; rich people always think about making more money, not about such swooning romances, let alone for a future wife.”
Mu Yan looked at the sunflowers swaying in the wind ahead, amusement flickering in her eyes.
