Chapter 792: Chapter 789: Not Busy Today, Here to Accompany You

Seth Quinn was sitting in front of the monitor, talking with Director Keane about something.

When Clara Grant saw he still hadn’t left, she paused in surprise. A crew member spotted her, called her name, and said hello.

Seth Quinn heard them and turned to see her, beckoning her over. Clara Grant walked up, greeted Director Keane first, and then turned to Seth Quinn. "Why are you still here?" she asked.

"I’m not busy today, so I’m here to keep you company," Seth Quinn said with a smile.

Director Keane chuckled as well. "Clara, President Quinn said he’s giving everyone a half-day off. So let’s get filming. Once we shoot the two most important scenes, we can wrap up early, and everyone can get a good rest."

Everyone was thrilled, nearly bursting into applause.

After he spoke, Director Keane turned to give instructions to some other crew members.

Clara Grant quietly tugged on Seth Quinn’s sleeve and whispered, "What made you decide to give everyone time off?"

"Since Miles’s crew got three days off, I had to be fair, right? If one production is getting a break, they all should," Seth Quinn said, raising an eyebrow. He leaned closer and added, "And it just so happens to be the perfect chance to take you out on a date and help you relax."

Clara Grant pouted. "Isn’t this just a case of mixing business with pleasure? If you were really trying to be fair, you’d give us three days off at least. How does half a day count as treating everyone equally?"

"Fine. As you wish. Three days off," Seth Quinn agreed instantly.

"No!" Clara Grant immediately objected. "Let’s stick with half a day. It’s a nice gesture, and that’s enough."

’Of course, she knew the only reason Miles’s crew could get three days off was because they were at the very end of their shooting schedule. Her production, on the other hand, had just begun. How could they be as relaxed as them?’

...

Clara Grant’s streak of one-take wonders from *A Lifetime of Splendor* carried over to *Everlasting*. A good actor can really pull their scene partners into the performance, so thanks to her influence, everyone she acted with was able to get into character quickly.

As a result, they finished filming the two scenes smoothly and quickly.

As Director Keane yelled "Cut!" after the final take, a wave of relief washed over the entire cast and crew. They could finally clock out early and properly relax.

As Clara Grant went to remove her makeup, everyone she passed nodded, smiled, and thanked her. After all, if it wasn’t for her, they wouldn’t be getting a half-day off.

Clara Grant had a naturally good complexion and didn’t wear heavy makeup, so she finished removing it quickly.

When she came out, she was surprised to see River Sterling had appeared from out of nowhere and was standing there talking to Seth Quinn.

As she drew closer, she heard River Sterling complaining, "...Hey, I finally found the time to come make an appearance on set, and what do you do? You give them all a break. I just got here, and pretty much everyone has left already. Who am I supposed to make an appearance for now?"

"Isn’t it perfect that everyone’s gone?" Seth Quinn looked up at Rhys Ryston, who was walking toward them in the distance with her head lowered. "You came for Screenwriter Ryston, didn’t you?" he teased. "Or were you hoping everyone would crowd around and watch you like a trained monkey?"

River Sterling admitted to himself that he was there for Rhys Ryston, but he was flustered that Seth Quinn had seen right through him and called him out. He glanced toward Rhys Ryston and retorted dismissively, "Tch, who said I’m here for her? If I had that kind of spare time, I’d rather be finding a hot girl..."

Before he could finish, his expression suddenly changed. The next second, he took off running in Rhys Ryston’s direction.
