I’m still young, and studying is my top priority!’ How did you twist that into being specifically about Wyatt Gallagher?" Seraphina Sterling’s brows furrowed. The composed, faint smile that usually graced her lips had vanished. ’This Terrence Grant is getting more and more outrageous!’

"It means pretty much the same thing. The bottom line is you and Wyatt Gallagher have nothing to do with each other!" Even when Seraphina Sterling called him out, Terrence Grant remained completely unabashed, showing no signs of being flustered. He refused to admit he had just said it on purpose, deliberately causing a misunderstanding. He wanted everyone to think that Seraphina simply didn’t like Wyatt Gallagher, and that was it!

Seraphina Sterling’s dark brows were nearly knitted together. ’How can this Terrence Grant be so thick-skinned!’

Terrence Grant shot a provocative glance at the grim-faced Wyatt Gallagher. ’Trying to steal her from me? Not a chance! Why don’t you go get tangled up with Miss Gable! Don’t think I don’t know what you’re really after with Seraphina. Asking her to be your shield was a lie, wasn’t it? Your real goal was to pursue her. Too bad for you, Seraphina doesn’t like you!’

Everything had been proceeding so smoothly. But just as things were wrapping up, someone had to throw a wrench in the works, causing the entire effort to fall short and go to waste.

"Wyatt, is what Mr. Grant said true? You and Seraphina Sterling really have nothing to do with each other? Were you two just pretending? Was it all just to make me give up hope?" Shannon Gable was the most ecstatic of all. To her, this news from Terrence Grant was like a sudden ray of hope for someone who had been lost in despair.

"Even if she doesn’t like me, she doesn’t like you either! We’re evenly matched; neither of us has a lead! You have a chance, and so do I! We’ll each have to play our best hand. It’s not certain who will come out on top in the end!" Wyatt Gallagher ignored Shannon Gable, his eyes fixed on Terrence Grant. He would never give up on Seraphina Sterling, no matter how powerful his opponent was.

"You don’t stand a chance! Unless Seraphina never marries, she can only be Mrs. Grant!" In the face of Wyatt Gallagher’s declaration of war, Terrence Grant shut him down completely before the battle could even begin.

"Then we’ll just have to wait and see," Wyatt Gallagher replied, a determined glint appearing in his otherwise gentle eyes.

At this point, if Seraphina Sterling still hadn’t realized something was wrong, she would have to be a complete idiot! ’So, Wyatt Gallagher didn’t ask me here just to put on an act! Seraphina Sterling mentally listed Terrence Grant’s shortcomings. With each one, her urge to toss the man into a deep fryer grew stronger.

Shannon Gable’s newfound hope was crushed once more. ’I can’t believe he’s actually developed deep feelings for Seraphina Sterling! She’s just an immature little girl. What on earth is so captivating about her that she could ignite such a fighting spirit in Wyatt Gallagher—a man who’s always been so nonchalant and completely uninterested in competition!’

Shannon Gable stared at Seraphina Sterling, her mind filled with doubt. No matter how hard she looked, she just couldn’t see what was so special about her to make her this captivating.

"Have you two known each other for a long time?" Skylar Thompson, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up. She was extremely wary of this Seraphina Sterling, who seemed to have popped out of nowhere. It was the first time she had ever seen Terrence Grant so persistent about something. It was also the first time she had seen him kiss a woman in public, let alone declare he would marry no one but her! All of this made Skylar Thompson feel a palpable sense of crisis.
