"Sir Leo! The spirit beam is replicating the effects of the Bloodmoon!" Fruder shouted immediately through the mental link.

"And it seems that some effects have been modified, attracting the beasts toward the beacon and giving them some sort of feeling that they need to destroy the source of it!"

Bloodmoon, a natural phenomenon—most of the time—occurs when chaotic energies in the atmosphere align in a certain pattern that interacts with the moonlight, causing the moon to appear red.

Bloodmoons with varied effects have been observed throughout the empire, changing with the alignment of chaotic energies, but the most common is ’Crimson Awakening’.

During this, the crimson moonlight awakens the primal instincts within beasts, causing their bodies to surge with violent energy. Their strength, speed, and endurance increase significantly, and their senses sharpen.

Weaker beasts may become feral, attacking anything nearby without hesitation, while stronger beasts retain their intelligence but become far more aggressive and bloodthirsty.

Some beasts experience temporary mutations, developing larger bodies, sharper claws, glowing eyes, or enhanced elemental abilities. The longer a beast remains beneath the Bloodmoon, the stronger its effects become. However, once the Bloodmoon disappears, the beasts gradually return to their normal state.

However, the effects released by the stronghold beacon seemed to be rather tame, acting only as a sort of attraction and giving the beasts a will to destroy the source of the beam.

Right now, the tremors all around the area were only increasing with the heavy steps of Vorthuun and its minions, but thankfully, the island platform was very stable.

"Well... isn’t this favourable for me?" Leo muttered, a slow curve forming over his lips.

Leo’s body smashed across the beast’s face, jerking its head sideways and badly damaging its body armour.

The flame breath stopped, allowing the many more layers of aura domes to remain intact.

In the sky, Lily waved her hand, and countless thick [Black Lightenings] crashed onto the beast’s back.

The strikes worked, and the armour cracked with every impact.

Lily also caused the clouds above the beast to burst, and water fell as if an extremely large bucket had been tipped over, drenching the beast.

Vorthuun’s body was so hot that the area instantly filled with fog.

Leo scoffed and used Shyra’s [Mist Shroud] on top of that, which immediately blocked any vision for anyone except people connected to him in the area.

The next moment, a large shadow covered the whole area, alerting even the boss beast.
