Chapter 132: Chapter 132: The Reason for Bringing Sienna Everett Back to the Everett Family

The two figures appeared so suddenly, darting over in an instant.

Sienna Everett tensed instinctively, but when she looked up, she saw it was Wyatt Everett and Dustin Everett.

Sheila Whitaker froze for a few seconds. "Wyatt? Dustin?"

Once she recognized her sons, Sheila Whitaker immediately demanded, "You two haven’t even been home lately! Where on earth have you been? Your father and I have been worried sick, you know that?"

Wyatt Everett ignored Sheila Whitaker’s question. His first instinct was to look at Sienna Everett and ask anxiously, "Sienna, was Mom giving you a hard time just now?"

Dustin Everett was just as anxious. "Sister, if Mom gave you any trouble, you tell me. I’ll back you up!"

Dustin Everett and Wyatt Everett had been coming to the entrance of Sovereign Entertainment every day, hoping for a chance to see Sienna Everett.

The moment they’d arrived, they saw Sheila Whitaker talking with Sienna Everett and rushed over without a second thought, terrified that their mother would bully Sienna.

Seeing Wyatt Everett and Dustin Everett appear before her, Sienna Everett’s brow furrowed slightly.

Wyatt Everett understood at once. ’She finds us noisy. She finds us annoying.’

Dustin Everett understood, too. Seeing the disgust and disdain his sister held for him, his heart felt as if it were being pierced by a thousand silver needles, overwhelmed by a throbbing ache of regret.

Having been so thoroughly ignored by her two sons, Sheila Whitaker fought to control her anger and shouted, "You two brats, answer me! You haven’t even been home these past few days, so where have you been?"

Though she called them brats, her tone was still laced with genuine concern.

Only then did Wyatt Everett turn to Sheila Whitaker, his eyes filled with disapproval. "Mom, Dustin and I have only been gone a few days and you’re this worried. Sienna has been away from the Everett family for so long, so how come you haven’t shown her any concern?"

The question left Sheila Whitaker speechless, unable to even think of a way to defend herself.

Sienna Everett shot the mother and her two sons a cool glance. Just having the Everetts around her made the air feel stifling.

Sienna Everett turned to leave.

Dustin Everett gently blocked her path, pleading, "Sienna, please don’t go yet. I have something for you..."

Before Sienna Everett could reply, Dustin Everett turned to Sheila Whitaker, his expression stern. "Mom, why are you here looking for Sienna? I overheard a little just now. Do you want Sienna to let Shannon Everett and Mason Everett off the hook?"

Sheila Whitaker’s brow was heavy with worry, and even her well-maintained face looked somewhat haggard. "Dustin, you don’t understand the situation Shannon and Mason are in right now..."

Dustin Everett cut her off coldly. "Of course I know. Shannon Everett deliberately knocked over a water bottle to ruin Sienna’s design sketches. All the hate she’s getting online? She deserves it! If Shannon Everett were standing in front of me right now, I wouldn’t just curse her out, I’d hit her!"

Sheila Whitaker’s eyes widened in an expression of pure disappointment. "Dustin, how can you say that? Shannon is your sister!"

Dustin Everett sneered. "Sister? Is Shannon Everett even related to me by blood? No! Mom, wake up! Why are you still protecting someone as malicious as her?"

Sheila Whitaker was so angry her lips trembled. "You... you..."

Wyatt Everett chimed in, "Mom, Dustin’s right. Why are you still protecting someone like Shannon Everett? The Everett family raised her in the lap of luxury her whole life. We’ve more than done right by her!"

"And as for our eldest brother—if he hadn’t slandered Sienna by accusing her of pushing his own mother, would he be in jail? This is exactly what he deserves! What right do you have to ask Sienna to let the two of them go!"

Trembling with rage, Sheila Whitaker’s arm shot out. SLAP! She slapped Wyatt Everett across the face.

"Wyatt! No matter what, Mason is still your older brother! How could you say such a thing? What do you mean this is the punishment he deserves? You’ve gone too far!"

The force of the slap knocked Wyatt Everett’s head to the side.

His eyes were downcast, his handsome face devoid of expression. He raised a hand to touch his cheek, which was already starting to throb and swell.

Wyatt Everett lifted his gaze and met Sienna Everett’s eyes.

Wyatt Everett froze for a second. A surprised, almost flattered expression crossed his face before he broke into a smile. "Sienna, it doesn’t hurt. Don’t worry about me."

Sienna Everett was rendered speechless. Her voice was completely flat. "Who’s worried about you? I wouldn’t even frown if you were beaten half to death."

The smile on Wyatt Everett’s face froze, turning bitter.

’It felt as if a hand had seized his heart, squeezing and crushing it so viciously that it became hard to breathe.’

Hearing this, Sheila Whitaker’s rage flared. She pointed a finger at Sienna Everett but her eyes were fixed on Wyatt Everett. "Did you hear what she just said? She wouldn’t care if you were beaten to death! Why do you still want a monster worse than an animal like her for a sister?"

Wyatt Everett’s expression darkened instantly, his voice becoming bone-chilling. "You say that again. I dare you."

This time, he didn’t even call her ’Mom.’

Sheila Whitaker never imagined her own son would threaten her like this. She began to gasp for breath, her chest heaving. "Wyatt... you..."

Wyatt Everett’s expression was solemn, his eyes filled with a desperate, all-or-nothing fearlessness. "Sienna saved my life. If she asked me to die for her right now, I would."

The shock on Sheila Whitaker’s face intensified. She stood there, gaping, completely stunned.

’She never would have imagined that her own son would be willing to go to such lengths for Sienna Everett.’

’That his remorse for Sienna... ran this deep...’

Sienna Everett glanced at Wyatt Everett, her expression still utterly impassive.

Dustin Everett pressed his lips together and looked at Sheila Whitaker in disbelief. "You want Sienna to forgive Mason Everett and Shannon Everett, but why can’t you think about Sienna for once? She’s your own flesh and blood."

Sheila Whitaker’s eyes remained completely unmoved. "It’s true that Sienna Everett is my biological daughter. But I raised Shannon since she was a child. My bond with her is deeper. What’s wrong with that?"

Dustin Everett shot a quick glance at Sienna Everett, worried that such words would hurt her.

However, after countless disappointments, the current Sienna Everett’s heart was like a stagnant pond when it came to the motherly love and family affection she had once yearned for. Sheila Whitaker’s words failed to stir even the slightest ripple within her.

Wyatt Everett’s brows knitted together as he immediately called out Sheila Whitaker’s lie. "Sienna has been back with the Everett Family for two years. She’s been by your side for two years. In all that time, Sienna has been far more attentive and dutiful to you than Shannon Everett ever was, but you? You’re so stingy you won’t give her even a shred of your love!"

Sheila Whitaker retorted illogically, "What parent in the world doesn’t play favorites? I just happen to like Shannon more. What’s so wrong with that?!"

Sienna Everett’s expression was frosty. "If that’s the case, then why did you and Morgan Everett find me two years ago? Why bring me back to the Everett Family at all?"

"It was because..." Sheila Whitaker started, then suddenly clamped her mouth shut.

"Because of what?" Sienna Everett stared at her without blinking. ’So there was another reason.’

Wyatt Everett and Dustin Everett exchanged a look, confusion simultaneously dawning in both of their eyes.

’Two years ago, their parents had told them that their long-lost biological sister had finally been found and that they were bringing her back to the Everett Family.’

’Could there have been another reason for bringing Sienna back to the Everett Family?’
