Chapter 134: Sierra, Let’s Take a Bath Together
Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Sierra, Let’s Take a Bath Together
Evan Shelby returned to the villa where he was temporarily staying.
Sienna Everett rode back to Veridian Gardens with Keith Sterling in his flashy pink sports car.
On the way back.
Keith Sterling was in the driver’s seat, and he asked casually, "Sienna, you and my bro aren’t still sleeping in separate rooms, are you?"
Sienna’s mouth twitched. "...No."
After letting it slip to Keith Sterling last time, she had started sleeping in the same room as Julian Forrester.
Sienna suddenly remembered something and asked curiously, "You said before that your brother mentioned me to you?"
Keith Sterling grinned. "Yup."
Sienna asked, "What did he say about me?"
Keith Sterling’s smile grew even wider. "Guess~~"
Sienna: "...Fine, I’ll guess. Did he mention how I used to bully him when we were kids? Or how I bit him once?"
They reached a red light, and Keith Sterling stopped the car, laughing his head off. "Why would you think that?"
Sienna propped her head on her hand. "What else would he mention about me?"
Keith Sterling turned his head to look at her, full of surprise. "Sienna, did you just say you bullied my bro when you were kids? That can’t be right. Is my bro the type to be easily bullied?"
Sienna blinked. She had, in fact, ordered Julian Forrester around quite a bit when they were young.
Telling Julian Forrester to help with her homework, telling Julian Forrester to read her stories, telling Julian Forrester to give her shoulder rubs, and things like that.
A meaningful smile played on Keith Sterling’s lips as he said with absolute certainty, "Let me tell you, Sierra, my bro must have been completely willing. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been able to ’bully’ him."
Sienna’s heart gave a little squeeze.
’Julian willingly let me boss him around?’
’For real?’
When they returned to Veridian Gardens, Julian Forrester wasn’t back from the office yet.
Keith Sterling hung out for a little while, then drove off to have some fun.
Sienna went to her room, took a shower, and dried her hair. She glanced at the time—it was nearly seven in the evening. Julian Forrester still wasn’t back. ’Looks like it’s a busy day at the office,’ she thought.
Sienna ate dinner by herself.
After dinner, Sienna wandered into the kitchen. Recalling what Keith Sterling had said about Julian being "completely willing," she decided to personally cook dinner for him.
Although her cooking skills weren’t great, she had plenty of enthusiasm, even getting the head chef at Veridian Gardens to teach her.
It’s just that she accidentally lost control of the heat, and things got a little... burnt.
’Cooking really is a profound art.’
It was past nine at night.
Julian Forrester returned from the office. He seemed to have just switched off from work mode; his handsome, fair face looked somewhat indifferent, carrying the natural intimidation and noble air of a man in power.
Walking into the living room, he reached up to loosen his tie. His slender, well-defined fingers moved with an alluring sexiness.
Julian Forrester’s movements paused slightly when he glimpsed a figure on the sofa.
Sienna’s eyes met his.
The indifference in the man’s eyes melted away, replaced by a lazy smile. His deep, languid voice seemed to have tiny hooks in it, the end of his sentence curling up in a light, indolent, and enticing way. "Was Sierra waiting for me to come home?"
Sienna looked away haughtily. "Who’s waiting for you? I was just watching TV."
Julian Forrester glanced at the TV, then his gaze returned to Sienna, one eyebrow raised a fraction.
—A commercial was playing on the screen.
Sienna’s ears burned. "...I happen to like watching commercials!"
He chuckled, deliberately drawing out his words. "That’s right. Our Sienna loves watching commercials most of all."
Like a kitten whose tail had been stepped on, Sienna’s fur seemed to stand on end. She angrily grabbed the remote, turned off the TV, and complained in a blatant attempt to cover her tracks, "So annoying. Why are there so many commercials on TV these days?"
Then, she changed the subject, asking mischievously, "By the way, have you eaten tonight? Working so late, you must be hungry. Want a late-night snack?"
Julian Forrester pulled off his tie and undid the top two buttons of his shirt with one hand. "A late-night snack?"
Sienna jumped up excitedly, pulled him to the dining room, and placed the dishes she’d saved for him on the table. "Look! This whole spread... I made it all myself, just for you!"
Julian Forrester looked down, and his brow twitched faintly. "Who told you to cook?"
Sienna froze. "What’s wrong?"
The man lifted his gaze to her, his eyes dark and deep. "You don’t need to do trivial things like this. It’ll hurt your hands."
Sienna was actually quite touched to hear that, but she quickly caught on, her clear, bright eyes glaring at him. "You’re just saying you hate my cooking!"
He couldn’t help but laugh. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and a soft chuckle rumbled from his throat. "Baby, how would I dare to dislike anything you do?"
"You just did!" Sienna pulled out a chair. "If you don’t dislike it, then sit down and take a bite for me to see."
Julian Forrester glanced at Sienna, then at the unappetizing and even slightly burnt dishes. He calmly sat down, calmly picked up his chopsticks, and calmly took a bite.
"How is it? How is it?" Sienna asked eagerly. "It’s an improvement from that little cake last time, right? It might not look great, but the taste is okay, isn’t it?"
He nodded. "It is an improvement."
Sienna’s eyes curved into a smile. She also sat down at the table, cupping her chin in her hands. "I’ve discovered that cooking is actually pretty fun. How about I cook for you every day from now on? I can use it to practice my skills!"
At her words, Julian Forrester’s eyelid twitched almost imperceptibly.
He put down his chopsticks, reached out with his long fingers, and gently pinched the soft flesh of her cheek. "From now on, whatever you want to eat, I’ll make it for you. You can just continue to never have to lift a finger, hmm?"
Sienna: "..."
’Wait, was my cooking really that bad?’
’Bad enough for him to say he’s going to spoil me like that.’
Although the dishes didn’t look very appetizing, Julian Forrester ate a lot, finishing almost everything Sienna had made.
Seeing him put down his chopsticks, Sienna blinked and leaned in to ask, "So, what did you used to tell Keith Sterling about me?"
Julian Forrester understood at once, raising an eyebrow slightly. "You wanted to know this, so you cooked me a meal?"
Sienna put on a righteous expression. "Of course not. I just purely wanted to cook for you."
The corner of his lip quirked up, but he remained noncommittal.
Julian Forrester stood up and went upstairs.
A maid cleared the dishes from the table.
Sienna followed behind Julian Forrester, her curiosity getting the better of her. "Come on, tell me. What did you tell Keith Sterling about me? You didn’t mention any of the dumb things I did as a kid, did you?"
Julian Forrester: "For instance?"
Sienna: "Like how I accidentally ran my head into a door when I was little."
He let out a soft laugh and pushed open the bedroom door.
Sienna trailed behind the man like a little tail. "Don’t laugh! Say something."
Julian Forrester stopped and turned to face her. He finally spoke, his eyes and brows crinkled with amusement, his tone lazy and sensual. "I’m going to take a shower. Want to join me, Sierra?"
Sienna looked up, only to realize she had followed him all the way to the bathroom. Her eyes went wide. "Who wants to shower with you!"
With that, she turned, left the bathroom, and shut the door behind her with a SLAM.
...
When Julian Forrester came out of the bathroom after his shower, he was drying his hair with a white towel. Damp, dark strands fell across his forehead, giving him a casually untamed look.
His lazy gaze fell upon Sienna, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, head down, looking at a document.
"What are you reading?" he asked casually.
Sienna was focused on her reading and didn’t look up. "The divorce agreement."
Julian Forrester: "?"
