Chapter 180: Chapter 180: The DNA Test Results Are Out

Ian Prescott first called Sienna Everett. After learning she wasn’t busy, he brought Javier Prescott over.

After knocking and entering the room,

Sienna Everett glanced at the coolly aloof Javier Prescott before her gaze settled back on Ian Prescott. "Is something wrong? It’s so late."

After all, she was more familiar with Ian Prescott and felt more comfortable talking to him.

Seeing this, Javier Prescott’s brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.

’Was I too cold? Did I scare her?’

’I should have come over sooner to get to know Sienna Everett beforehand.’

’Great. Now that kid Ian has a head start.’

Ian Prescott was quite pleased. ’I’ve finally started building some rapport with Sienna over this period.’

’I knew it. Who would like a guy who’s as cold as my brother all the time?’

A faint smile played at the corners of Ian Prescott’s eyes. "Sienna, do you remember when I told you that you reminded me of my sister who went missing when we were kids?"

Sienna Everett thought for a moment, then nodded. "I remember."

"Actually, it’s not just me. My older brother has this strange feeling too." Ian Prescott brought the iceberg, Javier Prescott, into the conversation.

Sienna Everett glanced at Javier Prescott and pressed her lips together. "But... I’m definitely not your sister."

"I’ve done three DNA tests with the Everett Family before. Every single one showed a biological relationship. I really am one of the Everett."

Ian Prescott was silent for two seconds. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he spoke in a solemn tone, "Sienna, what I’m about to say might be a bit abrupt, so let me apologize in advance."

Sienna Everett paused, then said immediately, "Go on."

Ian Prescott’s lips curved, but his smile was tinged with melancholy.

"We’ve been searching for our long-lost sister for years. My parents and I... we hope every single moment that we can find her soon. Even if we meet someone who bears the slightest resemblance, we do our best to investigate. Unfortunately, we’re met with disappointment every time. But even so, we’ve never given up for a second."

"So now... Sienna, I’d like to make a bold request. Would you be willing to do a DNA test with us, just so we can get a definitive answer?"

Sienna Everett’s eyes widened slightly, a look of astonishment filling them.

’A DNA test?’

’It sounded a bit strange at first.’

But Ian Prescott was so earnest and sincere, so desperate to find his long-lost sister.

Sienna Everett thought for a moment. ’It wouldn’t hurt to do it. If they can get a definitive result, they won’t have to keep worrying about it.’

"Alright, let’s do it."

"Sienna, you agreed?" A flash of surprise lit up Ian Prescott’s eyes, like a bright beam of light breaking through the haze and fog.

"Yes, I agree. But," Sienna Everett’s tone shifted, her expression turning serious, "we have to do it at a proper hospital."

Only a result from a place like that would be convincing.

Seeing her endearingly cautious expression, Ian Prescott couldn’t help but smile. "Okay. When would be a good time for you to go to the hospital?"

Sienna Everett felt it was best to get this sort of thing over with quickly, so it wouldn’t weigh on her mind.

’My flight back home is tomorrow, but I guess I’ll postpone it by a day.’

Sienna Everett said, "Let’s go to the hospital tomorrow."

Ian Prescott: "Okay."

Ever since entering the room, Javier Prescott’s gaze had been fixed on Sienna Everett. Gentle ripples spread through his cool eyes. He wanted to say something but held back, afraid he might frighten her.

When Keith Sterling learned that Sienna Everett was going to do a DNA test with the Prescotts, he was stunned.

’Sienna Everett might be related to the Prescott Family?’

Curiosity instantly welled up inside Keith Sterling, and he too postponed his flight home by a day.

「The next morning, at the hospital.」

Besides Sienna Everett and the Prescott brothers, Keith Sterling and Isabelle Sutton had also come along. Evan Shelby and Orion Hawthorne remained at the hotel for the time being.

The doctor Javier Prescott brought had worked with the Prescott Family for years and was quite famous. Even the hospital director came out to greet him, addressing him as "Professor."

The doctor drew Sienna Everett’s blood and took it, along with Mrs. Prescott’s blood sample, to be sent for DNA testing.

It was being expedited, so the results would be ready in about three hours.

After the blood draw, Ian Prescott helped Sienna Everett to her feet. Spotting the noticeable needle mark on her fair, snow-white arm, he quickly asked, "Does it hurt?"

"It doesn’t hurt." Sienna Everett shook her head. She wasn’t afraid of needles, so she was fine.

"Come sit over there for a bit." Ian Prescott led her to a chair in the waiting area.

Javier Prescott saw the needle mark on Sienna Everett’s arm, and his brow furrowed slightly.

The mark was starting to turn into a bluish-purple bruise. Against her porcelain-white skin, it looked even more conspicuous.

An assistant brought over drinks and snacks.

Javier Prescott glanced at them, picked up a bottle of water, twisted off the cap, and handed it to Sienna Everett.

Sienna Everett paused for a second, then smiled. "Thank you."

"No need to thank me." Javier Prescott’s voice was clear and cool, like a crisp autumn stream. "I’m sorry to put you through this."

"...You haven’t." Sienna Everett raised a hand to scratch her head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

’It was just a blood test. How is that "putting me through this"?’

Keith Sterling stood to the side, his gaze shifting between Ian Prescott and Javier Prescott. Although the test results weren’t out yet, both of them seemed to genuinely care about Sierra.

Isabelle Sutton suddenly murmured with a sigh, "It would be good if Sienna were a Prescott."

Keith Sterling looked at her and raised his eyebrows, silently prompting her to continue.

Isabelle Sutton lowered her voice. "That way, someone would finally treat Sienna like real family. Someone would finally be good to Sienna, unlike those people in the Everett Family. No matter how much Sienna gave or sacrificed, she never received any affection from them."

Keith Sterling’s eyebrows arched even higher. "I’m very good to Sierra too, you know."

"That’s different," Isabelle Sutton said, shaking her head and murmuring softly, "Friendship and family are not the same thing."

"That’s true," Keith Sterling conceded, his gaze shifting slightly.

’Regardless of the DNA test results, and whether or not Sierra has any connection to the Prescott Family, one thing is for sure: my brother will always treat Sierra well. He will always be Sierra’s family.’

Isabelle Sutton went over and sat down next to Sienna Everett, asking softly, "Sienna, are you nervous?"

Sienna Everett smiled faintly. "Not nervous."

’I’ve done three DNA tests with the Everett Family, and every time, they confirmed a parent-child relationship.’

’So, I’m pretty sure in my heart that I have no connection to the Prescott Family.’

Keith Sterling held out two pastries to Sienna Everett. "You lost so much blood. You need to replenish."

Sienna Everett: "..."

Sienna Everett wasn’t nervous, but Ian Prescott’s heart was far from calm. It was like a deep ocean undercurrent, surging and churning, leaving him in turmoil.

Javier Prescott sat in his chair, his expression indifferent. On the surface, he showed nothing, but his long, slender fingers tapped lightly on the armrest, betraying his inner unease.

Time ticked by, second by second.

Finally, three hours passed.

The doctor walked over with the DNA test report. "Mr. Prescott, the results are in."

Ian Prescott’s pupils contracted sharply. He strode forward. "Dr. Dunn, what are the results?"
