Chapter 310: Chapter 310: You Think a Kiss Will Stop Me From Being Jealous?
"You want me to kneel on a washboard?"
Sienna Everett let out a haughty HUMPH, looking like a spoiled little brat who could get away with anything. "Is that a problem?"
Julian Forrester looked at her, unable to hold back a smile. "You’re acting more and more like my wife."
Sienna Everett was rendered speechless.
"You’re even managing things like making me kneel on a washboard," he continued.
Hearing this, Sienna grabbed his hand and bit down on it angrily. Flustered and exasperated, she demanded, "So, are you going to kneel or not?"
Julian first glanced at the hand she had bitten, then at his own knees. Imagining the scene of himself kneeling on a washboard, he let out a helpless chuckle. "Do I really have to kneel?"
Sienna kept her small face taut. "Yes! Are you going to kneel or not?"
The man’s eyes and brows were filled with amusement. When he lifted his gaze to look at her, the corners of his eyes brimmed with genuine indulgence and affection. "I’ll kneel. If my wife tells me to kneel, how could I refuse?"
In that instant, Sienna’s ears turned bright red. Her heart pounded with a THUMP THUMP THUMP, as if a little rabbit were jumping around inside her chest. She blinked and said, "Why are you being so obedient!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Then does Sienna like me a little more now?"
Sienna nodded furiously. "Yes!"
The man’s thin lips curled up slightly, his smile lazy and sexy. "Then give me a little reward, hmm?"
She wondered what kind of reward he meant. Sienna blinked in confusion. Once she realized what he was asking for, her ears grew even redder. She leaned in and planted a big kiss on his cheek with a loud SMACK.
Having received his reward, Julian stood up, preparing to call the butler over and ask if they had a washboard in the house.
Sienna’s eyelids twitched. She quickly reached out and grabbed him to stop him. "I was just joking! I didn’t actually want you to kneel!"
Julian turned back to look at her. Sienna pulled him back down. "I’m serious, I was just teasing you! Besides, I have to go out in a bit. When I was on the phone with Isabelle Sutton earlier, we made plans to have lunch together."
Julian furrowed his brows slightly and suddenly called her by her full name. "Sienna Everett."
Sienna was taken aback. "What is it?" Calling her by her full name so suddenly made it seem as if she had gotten into trouble.
Julian looked down at her, his tone tinged with jealousy. "Have you noticed that you treat Isabelle Sutton better than you treat me?"
Sienna was speechless once again.
Julian’s expression was a mix of a smile and something else, carrying an inexplicable sense of danger. "You’re going out to spend time with her instead of staying home with me?"
"Don’t be jealous over nothing," Sienna replied.
The man looked at her without saying a word. Sienna threw herself into his arms and hugged him. She rubbed her small head affectionately against his chest a couple of times, then looked up at him with bright, sparkling eyes. "You just said I treat Isabelle Sutton better than I treat you. How could you think that?"
Julian’s temper instantly dissipated at her affectionate behavior, but he held back from hugging her in return and remained silent.
"I obviously treat you the best! If I’m not treating you well enough, I’ll just treat you even better from now on!" Sienna rested her forehead against his chest, gently bumping against it rhythmically. "Hubby!"
With that, Julian had absolutely no resistance left. Unable to control himself, he raised his hand and wrapped his arm around her waist.
Sienna smiled happily. Her lively, beautiful eyes curved into sweet crescents. She looked up and kissed his chin. "Then I’ll head out and have lunch with Isabelle Sutton in a bit!"
Julian was speechless. He mused that after saying all of that, she still just wanted to go out and see another woman instead of staying home with him. He wondered if he was really that unattractive to her.
Julian narrowed his eyes slightly, his voice deep and slow. "Do you think I’ll stop being jealous just because you gave me a kiss?"
Sienna refused to indulge him. She pulled out of his embrace. "Then I won’t coax you anymore."
Julian stared at her in confusion. Sienna’s clear eyes held a sly smile. Like a cunning and adorable little fox, she looked at him deliberately, as if she were teasing him.
Julian fell silent for a few seconds before suddenly breaking into a smile. However, no matter how one looked at it, that smile was incredibly dangerous. Sienna’s heart tightened slightly, and she subconsciously turned around to run.
But in the very next second, her vision spun, and she found herself hoisted over his shoulder. She immediately cried out in alarm, "What are you doing?"
The man’s eyes were dark, carrying an ambiguous and dangerous glint. "Asking Sierra for some other rewards." She wondered what other rewards he meant.
Twenty minutes later.
Sienna was finally let go. Sitting in front of the vanity mirror, she looked at the striking hickey on her neck, her watery eyes filled with a mix of shame and annoyance. The hickeys on her body were hidden by her clothes, but the one on her neck couldn’t be concealed. She wondered how she was supposed to go out like this.
She puffed out her cheeks angrily. As she used makeup to cover the mark on her neck, her earlobes burned hot, and she complained, "You’re so annoying!"
The man leaned casually against the vanity, his eyelashes lowered as he watched her conceal the hickey. The lingering lust in his eyes had yet to fade, making him look indescribably lazy and seductive. "You’re so cute."
Sienna’s heart skipped a beat, and she glared at him grumpily. "Don’t try to confuse me with your sugar-coated words!"
He let out a muffled chuckle, his Adam’s apple bobbing gently. He reached out to tuck a stray lock of black hair behind her ear, then rubbed her soft earlobe. "It’s not sugar-coated words. I’m telling the truth."
"Stop trying to seduce me," Sienna retorted.
Julian raised an eyebrow. "What did you say?"
Sienna scoffed and ignored him, getting up to change her clothes. "I’m heading out!"
Upon arriving at the agreed location, Sienna Everett and Isabelle Sutton found a restaurant to have lunch together. The recent kidnapping incident had already been made public. Setting aside the netizens’ comments, both of their fanbases were extremely worried about their safety.
Sienna and Isabelle took a selfie together and posted it on X to reassure their fans.
Not long after the post went live on X, she received a text message from Ian Prescott: [Sienna, I just saw the photo you posted on X. Are you eating at The Riverwatch?]
Sienna replied: [Yes, I’m with Isabelle Sutton.]
Ian Prescott: [I’m right nearby. I’ll come find you in a bit. Is that convenient?]
Sienna: [What a coincidence! Yes, it’s convenient. Come on over!]
After making plans with Ian, Sienna chatted with Isabelle for a while longer before getting up to use the restroom.
After stepping out of the restroom, on her way back to the private dining room, she unexpectedly bumped into someone in the hallway.
