“Alright, wipe your nose.”

Lilia pulled out a rag from her system space with disgust and tossed it to Dora.

“Did you learn your lesson this time? Next time you see food, will you still charge in without thinking?”

Dora grabbed the rag and wiped her face randomly, shaking her head like a rattle drum.

“No, no, I won’t!”

“From now on, if Leader tells me to bite someone, I’ll bite them! If Leader tells me to go east, I’ll never go west!”

“As long as… as long as there’s food…”

At the last sentence, her voice grew quieter, and her stomach cooperated by letting out a loud rumble.

Grrr~

In the silent corridor, it sounded especially sharp.

Lilia helplessly held her forehead.

What Abyssal Dragon—this was clearly a walking rice bucket.

However.

Seeing Dora’s obedient and docile appearance, a faint smile curved at the corner of Lilia’s lips.

Although the process had been a bit rough—and her ribs had suffered a bit—

This was worth it.

After being thoroughly beaten by that illusion, this once hard-to-control violent dragon had finally been completely subdued.

“Get up.”

Lilia adjusted her messy clothes, her gaze turning sharp.

“Now that you’re awake, it’s time to do proper business.”

“Come on, I’ll take you to get revenge.”

At the word revenge, a fierce light instantly ignited in Dora’s eyes.

She clenched her fists, producing crackling sounds.

“Revenge!”

“I’m going to beat its crap out of it!”

……

With Lilia acting as the “brain” by her side, Dora, the humanoid tyrannosaurus, finally didn’t get dragged into trouble by those messy mental disturbances again.

“Leader, I want meat.” Dora sniffed, her stomach rumbling again.

“Endure it.” Lilia didn’t even turn her head. “Once we catch that trick-playing keeper, you can eat however you want.”

The deeper they went, the more the oppressive atmosphere actually faded. The unsettling whispers disappeared, replaced by an eerie silence.

Until they turned the final corner.

The scene before them made Lilia slam on the brakes, nearly tripping herself.

There was no path ahead.

Instead—

at the end of the corridor stood… a small house?

That’s right—a small wooden house like the ones in fairy tales, with a pointed roof, a crooked chimney, and even a small rug with a bear pattern laid in front of the door.

Especially the door.

It was pink.

A crooked sign hung on it: “Private Residence, Beware of Evil Dog Inside.”

“This…” Dora scratched her messy hair, her golden vertical pupils full of confusion. “What is this?”

Lilia’s mouth twitched.

This aesthetic.

This color scheme.

“Leader, this door looks pretty sturdy.” Dora stepped forward and knocked on the pink wooden door. “Should we knock first?”

After what she had experienced in that damn illusion—being subjected to Hera’s “loving education” with a pointer—she never wanted to relive that again. Someone had to pay for that.

“Knock what.”

Lilia stepped aside, crossed her arms, and tilted her chin toward the door.

“Dora.”

“Here!”

“Tear it down.”

“Got it!”

Dora’s face—still a bit messy from crying—instantly broke into a ferocious grin.

She had been holding it in for too long and desperately needed something to vent on.

“ORA!”

Boom—!!!

A loud explosion shattered the silence of the corridor.

The poor pink wooden door didn’t even last a second—it exploded into countless flying wood fragments, shooting into the room.

Even the entire doorframe, and a section of the surrounding wall, were blasted into ruins by that terrifying force.

Dust filled the air.

Lilia calmly waved her hand to disperse the dust and stepped inside.

“Cough, cough, cough…”

A violent coughing sound came from within.

As the view cleared, Lilia saw the situation inside—and froze.

This was… a room as messy as a pigsty.

The floor was covered with unknown packaging bags. The air smelled like chips and some kind of sugary drink. In one corner was a pile of glittering junk that looked like glass beads scavenged from shipwrecks.

In the center of the room was a huge, soft beanbag chair.

On the table in front of it sat a large crystal ball.

At that moment, a small girl in pajamas was sitting there, holding a handful of snacks, staring wide-eyed at the two uninvited guests.

The girl looked about seven or eight years old.

Her messy pink long hair resembled a bird’s nest. Her big eyes still carried the haziness of just waking up, and there were even crumbs at the corner of her mouth.

Most importantly—

The scene playing inside the crystal ball.

It was a high-definition close-up of Dora crouching in the corner earlier, smashing her head against the wall while crying with snot bubbles.

It even had “tragic background music” thoughtfully added.

The air suddenly fell silent.

A deathly silence.

Lilia looked at the little girl.

The little girl looked at Lilia.

Dora looked at herself in the crystal ball.

The three of them stood frozen, staring at each other.

“Hiss—”

The pink-haired girl sucked in a sharp breath.

The snacks in her hand fell to the ground with a “plop.”

She looked at the shattered door, then at Dora—who was now staring at the crystal ball with dark energy starting to radiate from her—then finally at Lilia, who wore a “kind” smile.

“Um…”

She swallowed nervously, trying to tuck her feet under the beanbag to hide herself.

“If I say… this is all a misunderstanding…”

“A misunderstanding?”

Dora squeezed the words out through clenched teeth.

Her golden pupils had narrowed into dangerous slits, and a low growl rumbled from her throat like an engine about to explode.

“You were… even watching replays?!”

That was the most embarrassing black history of her dragon life!

And this brat was watching it like a TV show?! With background music?!

“I’LL KILL YOU!!!”

Dora roared and lunged forward with claws bared.

“Wait.”

Lilia grabbed the back of Dora’s collar, forcefully pulling the rampaging dragon back.

She narrowed her eyes and walked step by step toward the beanbag.

Looking down at the pink-haired girl, who had already curled into a trembling ball—

“Keeper?”

Lilia raised an eyebrow.

The pink-haired girl shook her head wildly like a rattle drum.

“Then who are you?”

“I—I—I…” The little girl stammered. Seeing Lilia’s hand move toward the short blade at her waist, she nearly burst into tears.

“Don’t kill me! I don’t taste good! I haven’t bathed in years, I’m full of dirt!”

At that moment, the scene in the crystal ball suddenly changed.

It switched to Lilia in the classroom, her chin lifted by Hera’s pointer.

The high-definition quality.

The suggestive angle.

Even the faint blush of humiliation on Lilia’s face was captured perfectly.

The smile on Lilia’s face froze instantly.

The veins on her forehead began to throb.

Oh, very good.

Not just spying—this thing even recorded and replayed it live?

“Looks like there’s no need to ask anymore.”

Lilia took a deep breath and revealed an extremely bright smile.

“Dora.”

“Here!”

“Close the door… oh wait, there’s no door anymore.”

Lilia rolled her wrists, producing cracking sounds.

“Then let’s just do it.”
