Chapter 1714: Acquiring Red Mark Resources

The Council Elder continued to give advice, and I listened to her calmly. It didn’t take long for her to finish with her instructions.

"Thanks for listening to me patiently," Freya said with a smile.

"It’s okay. I needed every bit of intel," I replied to her. I was being honest. Elder Freya shared her knowledge about the foreign creatures.

"Are you confident in dealing with the top-ranked elite creatures?"

"I have never fought against the Jelloth and the human-faced creature in battle. I heard that powerhouses among those particular ranked creatures appear on the sky battlefield," Freya said in a solemn tone.

A look of seriousness dawned on my face. I knew it would not be easy to take down those creatures. I had to use the inheritance forces to defeat them.

"They are not easy to kill. They can use more dark origin power. They have unique abilities as well, which makes them more difficult to kill," I said to her.

Hearing that, Freya’s face turned serious. She had heard the same thing about the top-ranked elite creatures from her seniors before.

There was also information recorded about them in the clan library, so she believed it completely.

"I cannot offer you much help. You are much stronger than us. You can even defeat the council elders with ease," Freya said with a chuckle.

She wanted to lighten the atmosphere.

On the other hand, I didn’t know what to say. Then, I thought of the Red Mark resources.

"Elder, what about the resources?" I asked her.

"You reminded me at the right time," Freya said.

Then she took out a storage container. When my gaze fell on the container, I was surprised. I had thought she would bring out a couple of storage boxes, not an entire container.

"The storage container has Red Mark-level resources. I know you have more than one inheritance power, so I have included lightning resources, healing resources, and bloodline resources."

"There is also a set of common resources as well," Freya said to me.

Hearing that, I grew curious.

"Finally, there is some good news," the ancient spirit said after staying quiet for a long time.

"I’m looking forward to checking it," I replied in my mind.

I took the storage container and placed it inside my storage ring. Then I turned toward Elder Freya.

"Elder Freya, I’m leaving now," I said to her.

"Alright, you can leave. If you need help with anything, you can ask me," Freya said.

I nodded to her. Then I stood up from the chair and left the room.

Freya watched the young man’s departing back, her eyes filled with pride. She wanted Zack Lockwood to become a Quasi-God, or even rise above that.

She didn’t know whether Zack Lockwood could repeat the feat of the ancestor. The Clan Ancestor was a Titled God.

If Zack Lockwood could reach that level, her clan’s revival would be possible. No one would be able to stop their clan’s growth by then.

A few minutes later,

I exited the council hall building. I reached the main street and hailed a passing cab. The cab stopped in front of me.

I spoke to the driver, and he agreed to take me to my destination. I opened the door and sat in the back seat.

Swoosh!

The cab departed, heading toward the mid-air residential area. I watched the outside scenery pass by.

There were other tall structures and gardens.

Twenty minutes later,

The cab landed in front of the residence. I exited the cab and paid the fare to the driver. After receiving the payment, the cab driver left.

I shifted my attention to the elevator. I took a breath before walking over. On the way, I came across other members.

I saw that some of them were covered in bandages; they had yet to recover from their injuries. Whenever our gazes crossed, they immediately looked away.

Seeing that, I shook my head. I could see the fear in their eyes. They were terrified of looking at me. They must have known about the outcome of the special battlefield.

I had already heard rumors that none of the council elders could defeat me. Though there was some truth to it, I didn’t know who spread the news.

A few minutes later,

I reached my room. After going inside, I shut the door. I turned on the lights and walked into the living room.

I sat down in the chair and brought the container out, placing it on the table.

"Take a look inside," the ancient spirit said.

Hearing that, I removed the cover of the container. The next second, I saw many boxes inside. I took the first one out and opened it.

Bolt!

A purple arc of lightning appeared. The next second, I felt an intense craving from the lightning sprout. My gaze fell on the treasure inside.

A look of understanding dawned on me. It was a small section of a tree root covered in purple lightning power.

My gaze deepened, as I spotted a crimson border around the purple lightning power. I realized that it was a Red Mark-level resource.

The ancient spirit was pleased; it could tell that the lightning treasure would be useful to the lightning sprout. I decided to consume it right away.

I took it out, closed the large container, and placed the container back inside the storage ring. Taking the tree root treasure, I went to the practice room.

I entered the essence chamber. The door behind me shut automatically. I turned on the lights and the console, and the energy from the inlet began to spread across the room.

I walked to the middle of the room and sat cross-legged on the floor. It didn’t take long for the energy to fill the room completely, forming a dense white mist.

It was a pure concentration of energy, containing a concentration of special energy as well. I held the lightning tree root in my palm.

Then I closed my eyes and began to circulate the lightning method. The dark purple lightning power from the tree root entered my body.

I guided the lightning force along the pathways. After circulating, the lightning power entered my dantian.
