Chapter 1720: Part 1: Advancement of Sealing Rune Power

As the human-faced creatures got closer, I could see that they were following the same method to surround me.

I slightly circulated the sealing power in my body. I only manipulated a small part to gather around my index finger.

I could see a small drop of dull golden power. My gaze fell on the nearest creature to me.

It had reached within arm’s length of me.

I vanished from the spot. The next second, I appeared on the flank of the creature. I could see that the elite creature was able to track me, but it was not that fast.

The creature was slowly turning its head. I raised my hand to touch the creature. My index finger, which held the dull golden drop, met the surface of the creature.

Upon contact, the human-faced creature stopped moving its head. It was frozen. The sealing force power covered the whole body of the creature in a flash.

I could see a dull golden flash appear before my eyes. Right then, the guardian god bloodline in my body was triggered.

A sudden surge of inspiration appeared in my heart.

Right then, the sealing force rune in my mind began to throb. The sudden inspiration was helping me to comprehend more of the sealing force rune.

Meanwhile, the ancient spirit was dumbfounded. It saw what happened. It didn’t expect the kid to get inspired on the battlefield instead of a place like the night cell tower.

But it was glad that the inspiration appeared at the right time.

The other human-faced creatures felt something was wrong. They darted towards the target to attack. In a flash, the second human-faced creature appeared.

It shot out a black ball filled with dark origin power. It moved at a blistering speed before striking the human.

I felt slammed by a hard object. The next second, I found myself rocketing backwards. I crashed to the ground in the blink of an eye.

I forgot about the outside noise. My focus was entirely on the sealing rune. The inspiration was making me understand the power of sealing.

The dull golden hue of the rune became brighter. The rune was getting stronger as the seconds passed. So, I stopped thinking about the outside battle.

Boom!

Another human-faced creature appeared at the crash site. It saw the human lying on the ground. It shot out dark origin power.

An intense dark origin beam landed at the center.

A deafening noise occurred. The impact force blasted my body away.

I felt searing pain assaulting my body, but I ignored it and focused on understanding more about the sealing power.

Now, I am starting to understand why the ancient spirit was like that. The sealing rune power had many layers. It could really strip away the vitality from anyone.

When I crashed, it created a crater in the ground. The shock force spread outward, changing the whole terrain.

At the same time, the inspiration in my heart faded. I opened my eyes and saw the dust and smoke around me.

I circulated the sealing force power in my body. It had gained a darker hue now. I formed a similar dull golden water drop at the tip of my index finger.

Looking at the clear dark hue in it, I understood that the sealing rune power had improved.

"You are progressing!" the ancient spirit exclaimed in my mind.

It saw the changes in the sealing rune in the mind. It couldn’t believe the young man was making fast progress like he did with the other ancient inheritances.

The ancient spirit thought that the Guardian God’s Inheritance was supposed to be difficult and should not be understood easily.

It had thought Zack Lockwood would break his bones and train to the core to understand that sealing power.

So, it was shocked right now.

Right then, I ignored the words of the ancient spirit. I felt a dark energy beam shooting towards me.

The next second, I moved sideways to avoid the beam.

Boom!

The dark energy beam landed on the ground next to me. The impact force once again threw me off from the spot right away.

I landed a few meters away from the previous spot. I adjusted my posture and tried to get up. It was time to use the newly improved sealing force power on the human-faced creatures.

When the dust and smoke disappeared, I saw I was being surrounded by 200 human-shaped creatures. I knew these top-ranked creatures could communicate with humans.

But they were not speaking to me. The dull dark golden power gathered at the tip of my index finger.

One of the creatures shot out a dark energy beam towards me.

Swoosh!

I sidestepped to avoid the attack. Next, I darted towards the nearest creature to me. The rest of the creatures started shooting dark beams towards me.

My senses heightened. I could see the attacks clearly. I continued moving forward, evading the attacks one after another.

Swoosh!

I appeared before the human-faced creature. The creature was stunned. Next, I touched its massive front face with my index finger.

Boom!

Upon contact, the sealing force power sealed the creature. The power surged forward. Right then, something else happened.

The vitality of the creature dropped all of a sudden. I could see that the creature would die in a few minutes.

As seconds passed by, the size of the creature reduced by half. The human-faced creature crumbled before my eyes.

Boom!

Seeing that, the other human-faced creatures were shocked. Instead of charging forward, they stepped backwards.

These elite creatures were intelligent. They were third-ranked for a reason. They had just witnessed something incredible.

One of them dying before their eyes. In a couple of seconds, all the vitality in the creature’s body was stripped away.

Only the sealing power with a dark golden hue flashed in the end before disappearing. The empty carcass of the creature fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, the ancient spirit was watching. It was shocked as well.

"See, I told you. You should not underestimate the power of the sealing force," the ancient spirit said again. It saw more than Zack Lockwood did.

The dark golden hue meant something. It understood that Zack Lockwood had reached the last step to reach the Quasi-God.
