Chapter 52: Attack on the Dorm

Knock.

Urgent and rapid knocks sounded from the door.

Alex sat up from his bed and the others also woke up from their sleep.

"Alex, we need your help!" The door opened and it was one of the students with an anxious look.

Blood was dripping down from the student’s arm but he didn’t mind it.

There was something more urgent than that to be dealt with.

He gritted his teeth and said, "There are hordes of students that attacked and they are trying to get in.

"But they... they aren’t the same as us anymore."

Alex frowned and glanced out of the window to check on what he meant by that.

There were indeed hordes of students trying to get to the dorm building.

But they were giving out a low growl as if they were some beasts.

Their eyes had turned gray and all of them were frothing at their mouths.

The weirdest part was that they were much stronger than an average adult.

They tried to leap over the metallic walls and were able to reach two thirds of the three-meter wall before they dropped to the ground again.

However, they were still smart enough to pile up on each other until it was good enough for them to leap over the walls.

The students from the dorm building tried to kill those that had gotten over the wall but it was a difficult task for them.

Shots fired and the Awakened among them used their abilities, but these zombiefied assailants weren’t bothered by their wounds.

All these zombiefied assailants did was to keep going until they reached the students fending them off.

"We better go now!" Alex said and all of them stormed out from the room as fast as they could.

"Each of us takes a side of the building to clear them off." Alex said to them on the way to the ground floor and they nodded their heads.

"Alex! Help us!"

"Quick, Eddy at the front needs help."

"Lin at the back also needs help too!"

When they got to the entrance of the dorm building, the guards who were guarding it were glad to see them but they didn’t have much time to talk.

They quickly opened the metallic door for them to go out and help the others.

Alex went straight to the front where the hordes of zombiefied students were the most numerous.

Riley and the others went to the other sides of the dorm building to help immediately.

When Alex arrived, Eddy blew out a cloud of white mist at the few zombiefied students that were in front of him.

But before the cloud of white mist could reach them, other zombiefied students came at him from the side.

Eddy cursed and he leaped away from where he was.

That gave Alex a perfect opportunity to try out his SSS Level Lightning Wielder ability.

He raised his hands and pointed at the few zombiefied students.

Sparks of lightning appeared and they crackled loudly.

Bam!

In an instant, the lightning strikes shot at the zombiefied students and they were decimated immediately.

Their bodies that were touched upon by the lightning were pulverised into ashes in the blink of an eye.

"Holy shit, Alex!" Eddy was also astonished by what his lightning strike did.

He wanted to ask Alex about the ability but it was not the time for it.

More of the zombiefied students got over the metallic walls and they were coming at them.

"Get ready." Alex said and Eddy quickly moved to his side.

Hair on Eddy’s arms stood on end when the crackling sound from Alex’s lightning strike could be heard.

Over twenty zombiefied students came at Alex and he didn’t hesitate to unleash his lightning strikes onto them.

Bam!

The lightning strikes ripped through them like a hot knife through butter.

A huge portion of their bodies was pulverised into ashes by the lightning strikes immediately.

And what’s left of them dropped to the ground twitching for a few moments before they stopped moving.

Whoosh.

Alex bent his knees and with a leap, he got onto the top of the wall.

He was strong enough to do so now after killing so many mutated beasts as an SSS Level Awakened.

Glancing down at the foot of the wall, he saw a few piles of these zombiefied students.

It was how they were able to get over the metallic walls.

Two slits appeared on top of two of the piles and the two slits opened up into the familiar storage portals.

Bam!

Lightning strikes shot out from the portals at the piles of zombiefied students and an explosion ensued when it hit onto the ground.

Most of the zombiefied students in the center of the pile were turned into ashes, while the others at the outer radius were sent flying in the air.

They tumbled across the ground when they landed and they lay motionlessly on the ground after they stopped.

Alex pointed his palms at the remaining pile of zombiefied students in his sight and unleashed more of his lightning strikes at them.

Bam!

The same thing happened with most of the zombiefied students being decimated into ashes by it.

However, more zombiefied students were still coming.

His portals appeared in front of them and huge bubbles flew out from them.

Splatter.

When the zombiefied students touched upon the huge bubbles they were blown apart from the ensuing explosion, splattering the pieces of their bodies onto the ground.

Pillars of fire came out from the portals after the huge bubbles were gone.

The zombiefied students were turned into flames and they thrashed around before they slowly disintegrated into stiffened charred bodies.

Alex’s portal disappeared and it appeared on top of some of the zombiefied students.

Then, a few huge metallic blocks descended from the portal.

Crush.

The huge metallic blocks crushed these zombiefied students into a flattened mangled mass of flesh and bones with their innards jutting out from the side of the metallic blocks.

With all of the zombiefied students taken care of, Alex took a deep breath to compose himself.

Just as he was doing so, he saw two more zombiefied students walk towards him.

But they were different from the others.

One had white mist coming out from his body, freezing the ground as he walked.

The other had mud flowing around him.

They were zombiefied Awakened.
