Ding!

{Reward: 2,100 Territory Points.}

"Alright that’s great." Ivy murmured under her breath, her hands folded over her chest as ste glanced over the new survivors again.

"What’s wrong?" Darren who had noticed her silence asked with curiousity in his eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Oh yeah sure." Ivy replied immediately with a smile afterwhich sthe soon diverted her gaze back to the system, opened the system interface and glanced at the newly increased points before another notification appeared.

[Population Increase Mission Completed!]

[Mission Reward: Personal Space Area doubled.]

Rose’s eyes widened slightly.

"Space area doubled? Like seriously?"

This was far more useful than ordinary points.

Her personal space had already been extremely valuable and now that the space had doubled, the amount of resources she could store would increase considerably.

A faint smile appeared on her face as she continue reading the system interface.

[Host’s current residents: 99% loyalty.]

Rose stared at the notification for a moment.

Ninety-nine percent.

Even she couldn’t help feeling surprised but then she knew loyalty couldn’t be maintained through fear alone but people would remain loyal when they believe that staying was better than leaving.

"Kindly gather every member of Hope base. I have something to discuss with them." Ivy said, her words directed to Darren ego nodded his head in response before leaving.

Soon... everyone gathered under the huge orange three as well as the new researchers.

"I called you all here today to introduce some rules. Some might have known the rules already but still I’ll like to introduce it again."

"The researchers would be given proper working conditions and corresponding rewards according to their contributions while laborers will receive points and supplies based on their work. Those who performed exceptionally well were rewarded."

"Those who contribute nothing are encouraged to find suitable work instead of simply being abandoned. So yeah everyone has a reason to work hard," Rose announced.

The survivors nodded their heads in understanding with satisfied smiles on their faces and soon everyone returned back to their works.

Ivy walked through the base, observing the newly settled residents, Mr Thomas and his team which Darren had given their rooms.

Some were carrying their belongings into their assigned houses while others stood around curiously, staring at the neat streets, clean houses, and orderly fields.

Just then, Professor Thomas approached her.

"Captain Ivy."

Rose turned around.

"Professor Thomas? Aren’t you supposed to be resting?"

Professor Thomas nodded before handing her a document.

"We’ve found something important."

Rose accepted the document and glanced through it while professor Thomas’s face contained a rare expression of excitement.

"One of our institutes has been researching polymer materials. We recently discovered that the material we’ve developed has excellent insulation properties."

Rose’s eyes immediately brightened.

"Insulation?"

"Yes." Professor Thomas nodded enthusiastically. "It can be used on greenhouses. It can greatly reduce heat loss while allowing enough light to enter."

He pointed toward the information on the document.

"If we use it properly, the greenhouses should be able to maintain a considerably higher temperature during the cold front."

Ivy immediately understood the importance.

Plants were the foundation of Hope base afterall hence it the crops died because of the cold, the consequences would be enormous.

"How much can you produce?"

Professor Thomas hesitated.

"At our current production capacity, not enough for every greenhouse immediately."

Ivy thought for a moment.

"Then prioritize the most important greenhouses."

Professor Thomas nodded.

"We’ll begin immediately." He said afterwhich he suddenly remembered something before he could leave. "There’s also another matter."

"What is it?" Ivy raised an eyebrow with curiousity in her eyes.

"The location of the learning institute." Professor Thomas replied with seriousness in his tone. "It is located in Urban Star Field."

Urban Star Field? Ivy thought as she frown. That place isn’t safe as different kinds of monsters live there. However, the learning institute contained many valuable researchers and technical materials.

"If we can bring the people there back safely, it would be extremely beneficial to the base," Professor Thomas said.

Ivy remained silent for several seconds, then she asked, "What about Darren?"

He’s my second in command afterall. She thought with a heavy sigh. We have to think about this properly together. This seems like a new mission afterall.

"He’s resting currently captain Ivy?" Professor Thomas replied with a heavy sigh. "You told him to go take a rest after he showed I and my team our rooms."

"That’s right. He should rest properly then." Ivy replied. "We have lots of work to do after all once he’s awake."

"You should go and rest too. I have some things to do hence I might be leaving the villa soon or maybe not but first let me go check up on my children." Ivy added while professor Thomas nodded his head in response before leaving.
