Ascension Of The Blood Supreme
Chapter 237. One finger
The guy’s metallic hand came down.
Aiden gently lifted his left hand, which was resting calmly on his thigh.
He pointed a single finger towards the direction of the guy’s attack, trailing down towards him.
The guy and his girlfriend sneered. Was this fucker so inexperienced that he thought he could resist the attack of an expert Rank 2 warrior with just a finger?
Under the gazes of several onlookers, the metallic hand connected with Aiden’s finger.
Instead of the sudden recoil, pain, and injuries they were expecting the brown-haired young man to receive, what happened next shocked them to their core.
Tannnng...
Crackkkk...
A resounding metallic sound, accompanied by sounds of bone cracking, spread across the place.
The gentleman felt as if his hand had hit an immovable mountain. Then, vibrations spread through his hand. The metal coating his hand cracked and crushed into smithereens.
Then, pain followed. It spread through his hand all the way to his shoulder.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then his bones broke and his hand tore apart, sending chunks of flesh across the place.
"Aruhgggggh!"
He screamed in pain. Alongside his girlfriend and several onlookers, he looked at the brown-haired fellow, still browsing through his phone, as if he had not just stopped the attack of an expert Rank 2 top ranker in the university with the metal affinity, and crushed the hand, bones, and flesh of the gentleman all with just a single finger.
Who the hell was this mysterious person?
"What sort of monstrous physical strength does he have?"
"Whoever he is, he didn’t even use his affinity!"
"He just used a single finger to destroy that guy!"
"Look... his hand is all messed up and his flesh and blood on his hand has been torn apart!"
"Hehe, that man is definitely a hidden powerhouse!"
"Indeed. He must be at least a legendary Rank 2 powerhouse!"
"I tell you... this is why offending people for no reason is not a good thing."
"Look, the lady he offended the senior for is running away!"
"Hehe, serves the fucker right."
The gentleman heard the whispers and sneers directed his way.
He had really poked the hornet’s nest this time, all in vain.
Even the person he had done it for had abandoned him.
"Uncle always said I should think more with my head and less with the thing between my legs. I didn’t understand him then. But now I do. I need to apologise to this mysterious senior; else, he might kill me. He managed to stop my attack and destroy me with just a single finger. Not even uncle will be a match for him. Shit," the guy said.
Before he could approach Aiden and apologise, Aiden’s eyes turned crimson. A large blob of blood manifested around him and turned into a shield hovering around him, preventing the chunks of flesh from touching him and ruining his clothes.
Then, a glint of realisation dawned on not just him, but everyone.
"Wait... crimson eyes, brown hair... blood-related affinity... don’t tell me..."
"It’s him!"
"The Lodgekeeper!"
"The Crimson Reaper!"
"It’s him all along?"
"The madman from the southern continent known for large-scale massacres and terrifying feats in the southern continent and the Kahra Desert?"
"My uncle’s brother’s sister’s nephew’s aunt’s sibling said he eats the flesh of his enemies!"
"Hehe... that’s an exaggeration. But he’s known to be terrifying."
"Seriously... that guy offended such a madman?"
"Aiden Vhorn is a beginner Rank 3 powerhouse, the fourth disciple of Armstrong Lee, and a professor at Sauna City University’s Combat Department. His first lecture really caused an uproar in Sauna City University."
"Heh. The fucker offended such a man. Damn, huh, he’s cooked."
"Not even his uncle can get him out of this one."
"It makes sense that he looked so familiar."
"Damn... he looks so different from the videos of him killing."
"Indeed. I don’t know how to describe it. But even though it’s the same face and appearance, he looks like an ordinary handsome fellow on a regular day. If one does not pay close attention, the image on TV and that of him in person won’t overlap."
Whispers of fear, awe, and admiration spread across the place.
The gentleman looked at the calm man looking through his phone with an expression of extreme dread on his face.
He had offended Aiden Vhorn?
The Aiden Vhorn?
Disciple of Armstrong Lee?
The Lodgekeeper? The Crimson Reaper? The madman??
It was now that he understood why the man had ignored him. He was too inconsequential for Aiden Vhorn to pay him any attention earlier.
Not even his uncle could get him out of this mess.
He was royally fucked.
If Aiden Vhorn killed him, his uncle could not even dare to avenge him.
Bang...
The gentleman hit his face on the ground and kowtowed three times.
"Senior, this junior did not know the difference between heaven and earth. Please, have mercy!"
Aiden ignored him and continued browsing through his phone.
"Heh... earlier, he said the senior should kowtow three times. Now, he’s the one eating his own words."
"Heheh... this will attract a lot of views on Tistagram and Riktok."
"Yeah... caption it: guy bites more than he could chew."
The gentleman felt shame and regret wash over him when he heard the conversations directed his way.
He would never offend anyone again from today, if he stepped out of this situation alive.
Aiden looked at him calmly.
"Oh, you are still here?" Aiden asked politely as the crimson shield turned into blobs of blood and returned into him. His crimson eyes turned black.
He was too absorbed in chatting with Desmonda to even pay attention to the fellow. He returned to his phone.
"He doesn’t even consider me present. I’m like a non-entity to him. Is this how true powerhouses are? They can’t even be bothered to pay attention to ants like us," the gentleman thought.
His head was still on the ground as fear washed over him. When he looked into the senior’s eyes, he realized the man’s eyes were too calm. It left him terrified.
His injured hand was still dripping with blood. But now, he couldn’t be concerned with it. He just wanted the senior to pardon him and let him leave this mess he had created alive.
Suddenly, one of the elevators to the ground floor opened. A man stepped out.
