“The one who came to welcome Mr. Xiaojiu,” one of them, the woman who appeared to be about twenty-five or twenty-six years old.

She looked at Baili Xia, hesitating and unsure of what to call her.

Mr.

Xiaojiu had not introduced her, but their relationship seemed to be quite different.

Yet she did not seem to be one of the girls who had come for training; she lacked the crude qualities those girls possessed.

Such a girl put Di Ran in a difficult position, with no clear idea of how to deal with her.

“I am Baili Xia.” Knowing her difficulty, Baili Xia took the initiative to introduce herself.

Di Ran’s eyes brightened slightly, and she smiled: “My name is Di Ran, everyone calls me Ran, hello, Xiaxia, let me take you inside.”

Baili Xia nodded, remaining silent.

This Di Ran, although seemingly affable, had a stern expression in her eyes.

Facing someone warm yet serious, Baili Xia still did not know how to interact with her.

The best way was not to interact.

Everyone here was one of Uncle’s men, and Uncle’s men were not those she should be associating with.

The man accompanying Di Ran glanced at Baili Xia and said indifferently, “I’ll go find Mr. Xiaojiu first, keep an eye on this girl.”

Without waiting for Di Ran’s response, he turned and stepped briskly after Mu Xiaojiu.

Baili Xia was slightly stunned by the aloofness and indifference in his eyes.

Di Ran immediately explained: “His name is Long Ting, he is also one of the leaders here.”

“Hmm.” Baili Xia nodded again, not particularly concerned.

Walking along a narrow trail through the woods with Di Ran, it seemed the further they went, the more audible some sound became.

Clearly…

it was the sound of training, footsteps in unison, which upon closer listening were definitely more numerous than she had imagined.

Baili Xia was somewhat surprised and turned to look at Di Ran.

Di Ran nodded, “Yes, it’s the brothers training at the training grounds, you have good hearing, material with potential.”

Clearly not one to be a mere target, with such good hearing, she seemed to be someone who had trained a bit but did not carry the aura of a martial artist.

Such people, more than the overt types, hold even greater potential.

Mr.

Xiaojiu belonged to this category, for no matter how long you’ve been around the Martial Arts World, you couldn’t gauge the extent of his skill.

This is a true master, an expert you can’t completely see through.

However, the young girl before her, still could not be considered a master, at least that much Di Ran could discern.

Baili Xia followed Di Ran deeper into the woods, both of them remaining silent.

Deep in the forest was clearly another world.

Exiting the trail, the entire landscape suddenly opened up.

Looking ahead, the whole area in view was a training field.

The brothers in training, she roughly estimated, were at least in the thousands.

What exactly was Uncle training them for here?

The brothers on the training field seemed to have not noticed the intrusion of an outsider; they continued to train diligently.

Especially after learning that Mr.

Xiaojiu had arrived, they all exerted even more effort than usual.

Mu Xiaojiu’s proud figure stood out conspicuously among the crowd.

Actually, he always stood out no matter where he went.

Baili Xia was used to it, but seeing him stand amongst a group of her own brothers, she suddenly gained a new recognition of him.

When he was with his brothers, even though he remained cold, the distant feeling of keeping others a thousand miles away seemed to fade a lot.

He was very suited to this place, very suited to be with these people.

At this moment, he possessed a bit more of a vibrant air, and he seemed a lot brighter.

No wonder Nangong Xu said that this place entirely belonged to him.
