"You... You are..." June tilted his head, adjusting his glasses as he stared at Nyx in shock. "What are you...?"

Nyx paused awkwardly, standing before him as he scratched his hair. "Is it not good...?"

June swallowed.

Nyx looked hot. Like, super hot.

He was dressed in a completely different style today. Instead of his usual nerdy look, Nyx looked like some hot gangster or something. His entire appearance had changed.

Dressed in stylish black from head to toe, he looked like your typical rich high school bad boy. He didn’t look anything like the shy nerd June knew at all.

Even his hairstyle had changed into something more appealing and sexy. The touch of makeup on his face made him look even hotter, especially with the necklace hanging around his neck.

And without his usual glasses, Nyx’s new look was enough to make June internally scream.

"You don’t like it...?" Nyx asked again, looking worried.

But June repeatedly shook his head. "No! You look sexy... I mean, hot! Not handsome... No, wait, it’s good!" June flushed, struggling to get his words out properly.

Nyx stared at him before slowly smiling, seemingly satisfied with his response. And that smile alone was enough to make June’s heart flutter instantly.

Struggling to keep himself in check, June cleared his throat. "Why are you dressed like that, though...?"

Nyx smiled awkwardly. "I wanted to look good for you on our first date, so I went to Simon and Kael for some advice, and... they helped me pick these clothes and dress up like this..."

June slowly nodded. "Oh... Well, I guess they did a good job."

Nyx smiled again. "And I’m sorry for being late. I woke up at five to get ready, and I still ended up arriving this late..."

"..." June was speechless. "You were up that early?!"

Nyx nodded, leaving June shaking his head in disbelief. He guessed someone was even worse than him at this point. Still, he couldn’t help feeling touched by the effort Nyx had put into their date.

"It’s okay. You look dashing, so I’ll let it pass." June smiled as though he hadn’t been late himself.

"And you..." Nyx looked down at June, observing his appearance.

Immediately, June panicked, almost regretting the decision to dress like a nerd. Was Nyx going to hate it? Had he gone too far with the whole matching-couple idea?

But Nyx simply approached him and gently patted his hair with a smile. "You look super adorable..." He reached out and softly pinched June’s cheeks. "So adorable that I could eat you up..."

June immediately had flashbacks to that night. Even though Nyx clearly didn’t mean it that way, he still flushed and took a step backward.

"Let’s not eat each other now... Okay?"

He laughed awkwardly before quickly changing the subject. "Speaking of eating, you’re hungry, right?"

Nyx nodded.

"So, to kick off our date, I think we should get something to eat!" As June looked at Nyx, he watched him pull a piece of paper from his pocket.

June stared at it curiously. "What’s that?"

Nyx glanced down at the paper. "I made a list of things we should do on our first date. I’ve arranged everything into a schedule for the sake of orderliness."

"..." June blinked, staring at him, unsure whether to laugh or simply accept it.

He guessed you really couldn’t take the nerd out of the nerd.

June took the paper and began reading through the ridiculously long list Nyx had prepared. "Enroll in a cooking and painting class together for a day... Travel around the city together... Visit the world’s best sites..."

June raised his eyebrows and looked at Nyx, who was nodding firmly as though everything on the list made perfect sense.

"Are you planning a one-year honeymoon or something?" he teased.

Nyx awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "I did some research, and those were the things that came up. Everyone said they were the right things to do."

He quickly added, "And don’t worry about the payment. I’ll pay for everything. I’ve already made a budget..."

June smiled and shook his head. "Is that so? Well, keep it for now." He handed the list back to Nyx. "We’ll see how much we can cover today."

He glanced around before adding, "But first, let’s find something to eat. I’m hungry."

Nyx nodded, and June took the lead as the two made their way to the nearest five-star restaurant.

Soon, the two of them were seated opposite each other at a table in the restaurant.

The atmosphere was romantic, with gentle piano music playing in the background and the soft murmur of conversations filling the space. It was the perfect setting for a first date.

June picked up the restaurant’s menu and browsed through it. "Do you have anything in mind to order?"

Nyx looked at him with a smile. "No. You should order. We can have whatever you want."

June raised his eyebrows. "Are you sure about that?"

Nyx nodded with a smile, so June shrugged and began placing his order as soon as the young male waiter arrived.

However, as June continued listing the dishes he wanted, Nyx grew increasingly speechless. Everything June seemed interested in ordering was spicy.

And Nyx wasn’t exactly someone who could handle spicy food. But since June was the one ordering, he could only sit there and force a smile, silently hoping things wouldn’t turn out too badly.

When June was finally done, he turned to him. "Are you sure you don’t want anything?"

Nyx shook his head with a smile. "Don’t worry. Anything you order is perfect for us."

He wore an awkward smile, and June could tell it was forced. Still, June smiled and nodded. "Okay, then..."

Soon, their orders arrived, consisting mainly of spicy dishes. June’s eyes lit up immediately as he eagerly dug in.

"I’ve been craving something spicy recently!" he exclaimed happily, smiling as he ate.

Nyx, on the other hand, did nothing but sit there with a smile, genuinely enjoying the sight of June eating. He didn’t particularly feel like eating himself, so he simply watched him for a while, perfectly content with the view.

Eventually, June looked up at him.

"Aren’t you going to have anything?" he asked.

But Nyx shook his head with a smile. "No, I’m fine. I’m not too hungry, so I’ll just watch you eat instead."

June raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure about that...?"

Nyx nodded firmly. "I’m a hundred percent sure about—"

Before he could finish his sentence, his stomach betrayed him with a loud, unmistakable growl.
