Nyx dashed to the neighboring table without much thought and grabbed a glass of water.

Everyone watched in shock as he gulped it down before picking up another and drinking the entire thing.

When that still wasn’t enough, he moved to the next table, gulping down more glasses of water while his face burned red. Everyone stared at him with a mixture of worry and fright.

They wondered what would happen to Nyx, who looked like he was about to explode at any moment. June immediately got to his feet and ran around the restaurant with him, handing him the nearest glasses of water to help.

"This..."

"Try this..."

"This one!"

He handed Nyx every glass he could find, but when that still wasn’t working, he grabbed a jug and offered it to him as well. And when nothing seemed to help, Nyx finally rushed off to the restroom, leaving June standing there watching him go.

Silence.

There was finally some peace and quiet with Nyx gone, but June soon realized he was still standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant, with everyone staring at him.

He felt extremely awkward under all those eyes as embarrassment washed over him. Only then did he fully realize how embarrassing the whole situation had been. Forcing a smile, he turned to the couples whose water they had stolen.

"Sorry about that..." He bowed slightly while making his way back to their table. "Enjoy your meal..."

He finally sat down in shame, lowering his head and praying he could disappear.

Nyx soon returned after calming down and sat opposite June. His face was still flushed, though it was gradually returning to normal, and his eyes were slightly watery. Ignoring the curious stares still directed at him, he lowered his gaze to their meal.

"How are you...?" June stared at him. "Feeling better?"

Nyx was so embarrassed that he couldn’t bring himself to meet June’s eyes. Keeping his head down, he slowly nodded. "Mmm..."

June glanced around. Thankfully, the other customers had stopped staring at them. He turned back to Nyx and couldn’t stop himself from laughing softly at the entire scene.

Nyx immediately looked up at him. "Why are you laughing...?" His embarrassment only deepened.

June tried to hold it in, but he couldn’t stop himself from laughing. He laughed some more, shaking his head as he struggled to speak. "Sorry, I’ll... I’ll stop..."

And then he laughed even more.

Nyx was thoroughly embarrassed. He picked up another cup and gulped down its contents, trying to ignore June’s laughter.

Eventually, June calmed down and smiled at him. "Honestly, don’t scare me like that again. If you can’t handle something, let me know beforehand so you don’t end up endangering yourself."

He shook his head with a sigh. "You could have ended up in the hospital today. So don’t go around trying to impress me with those dating tricks you found online. It’s not worth it."

"....."

Nyx stared at him in shock, his eyes widening. "How did you...?"

He was genuinely surprised that June had figured out he was only acting that way because of the dating tricks he’d read about online.

June sighed and shook his head. "I think it was pretty obvious." He smiled at him. "Anyway, don’t do that again. I don’t want to get worried about you like that again..."

Nyx hesitated before slowly nodding with a small smile. "Okay... I won’t make you worry again..."

They continued their meal, sitting opposite each other while conversing and laughing over the food they’d ordered. Nyx had even ordered another meal to his taste.

While they were eating, the male waiter returned to their table. The young man stood beside June with a smile, offering him a drink.

June looked up at him. "This... We didn’t order this, though..." He tried to explain.

However, the young waiter shook his head with a smile. "It’s on the house. Specifically for you." He placed the drink in front of June. "Enjoy!"

June slowly smiled at the drink. "Oh... Thanks..."

The young man smiled and added, "And one more thing... I’ve been staring at you for a while now, and you look pretty."

He openly complimented June.

Nyx, who had been watching the young man suspiciously, immediately went alert. His red ears twitched as he stared up at the waiter, growing jealous and furious by the second.

His fists clenched as he glared at the young man, who was clearly flirting with June.

"Oh... Thanks for your kind words..." June smiled politely, trying to be nice and respectful.

The young man nodded with a smile. "Yes, I think you’re really pretty. But I guess you’re taken..." He turned to Nyx. "Otherwise, I would have definitely made my move."

"...."

June blinked and turned to look at Nyx, only to find him practically burning with fury.

Nyx’s ears had turned an even deeper red as he glared at the waiter, his fists tightly clenched. But what shocked June the most were his eyes. They were slowly turning yellow.

At that moment, June gasped.

Was Nyx actually serious? Was he about to send someone to their grave just because the man had flirted with him?!

June immediately intervened with a smile. "Well, yeah. Thanks for your kind words, but..." He picked up the drink and handed it back to the young man. "I can’t accept a drink from you. My boyfriend isn’t happy about it."

"Oh... I see..." The young man nodded with a smile, turning to look at Nyx. "I guess I’m interrupting, then. I just wanted to tell you that you’re pretty and offer you a drink, but I guess I’ll take my leave."

He smiled before turning and walking away with the drink.

Nyx remained seated, his fists clenched as he watched the young man leave. Even after the waiter had moved out of sight, Nyx didn’t stop glaring in his direction.

He kept watching, his fists still clenched as yellow slowly crept into his eyes.

June panicked at the sight. He waved a hand in front of Nyx’s face. "Hey. Are you okay...? Hey... Hey!"

He called out to him, but Nyx didn’t respond.

His gaze remained fixed in the direction the waiter had gone, looking as though he would burn the man to ashes at any moment.

"...."

June nervously imagined flames erupting throughout the restaurant, with Nyx going after the poor waiter simply for admiring him.

"Hey..."

He immediately reached out and took Nyx’s hand, gently caressing it until he managed to bring him back to his senses.

Nyx blinked, his eyes returning to normal as he looked at June, who was staring right at him.

"Are you jealous right now?" June asked with a smile, relieved to see that he was finally okay again.

Nyx blinked and shook his head. "No. I’m not at all. I..."

He bit his lower lip, his expression still cold and jealous.

June couldn’t help smiling at how pouty he looked. Reaching across the table, he poked Nyx’s cheeks with his fingers.

"Don’t worry. I already rejected his gift, and I certainly won’t accept his compliments either. I’ll only accept yours." June smiled at him. "So don’t be angry, okay?"

Nyx stared at him. "I’m not angry at you..." He pouted. "I’m just..."

June smiled and patted him on the head. "Now, that’s my golden boy puppy!"

He smiled at Nyx. "I won’t accept gifts or compliments from anyone else, so don’t be sad. And smile for me, okay? You look better when you smile."

He was trying to calm Nyx down before his unstable energy erupted again. It seemed Nyx’s energy was particularly unstable at moments like this.

However, Nyx didn’t smile. Instead, he lowered his gaze and said, "I’m already tired of eating. Let’s leave before that weird waiter comes back..."

June smiled. "Are you so worried about him that you won’t even finish your meal?"

Nyx looked at him. "Let’s go..."

June nodded with a smile. "Sure, sure. Let’s go. Besides, we have a lot of things on our list to do, so let’s start somewhere else, okay?"

Nyx slowly smiled and nodded. "Mmmm."

They left the restaurant and made their way to a nearby amusement park for some fun. Nyx had noticed that couples often went there on dates, so he figured it would be a good place for them, too, even though he couldn’t remember visiting one very well.

But he wanted to be there with June. He wanted to create vivid memories of the place with him.

Neither June nor Nyx had brought a car. They’d decided to have an authentic dating experience by taking a cab instead.

However, as they travelled in the cabs, June, who was accustomed to his private luxury car, was already regretting his decision.

He could practically imagine himself flying through the air in his private jet and landing directly at their destinations. It would have been much more convenient.

As soon as they arrived at the amusement park, the first place June dragged Nyx to was the roller coaster.

June stood before the ride with a smile, eagerly anticipating the experience. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been on one. Working for so many years had robbed him of the chance to enjoy such things, leaving him with barely any free time.

Nyx, on the other hand, was genuinely terrified by the sight before him. He’d never been on a roller coaster before, but the sight alone was enough to send shivers down his spine.

"Can you handle this?" June asked.

Nyx wanted to shake his head, but the first words that came to mind were, "Easy. A piece of cake, for sure!"
