Chapter 268: Chapter 188: Sifan, This Is the Room Prepared for You

"Miss, would you like us to assist you with your bath?" the maid, Zhixia, asked again.

Jiang Silu heard this and quickly waved her hands. "No, no, no! I can bathe by myself~"

Zhichun and Zhixia exchanged a look. Zhixia smiled and said, "Very well. If you need anything, Miss, just ring the bell. We’ll be right outside."

"Okay, thank you," Jiang Silu nodded.

She let out a long sigh of relief only after the two had left.

’A personal maid helping me bathe?’

She had only ever seen scenes like this on TV.

Now that it was actually happening to her, she just felt completely awkward.

Once the door was closed, she turned and carefully examined the bathroom.

She was instantly stunned.

The bathroom was much larger than she had imagined.

In the center was a huge bathtub made of white marble, with bath salts and essential oils placed beside it.

The shower area was separate, its glass partition polished to a sparkling shine.

The vanity had two sinks, and the mirror was framed in gold.

In the corner stood a potted plant, its leaves glossy and green.

But the most extravagant feature was the window.

A floor-to-ceiling window offered a view of the lawn outside and the mountains in the distance.

Although it was one-way glass, meaning no one could see in, the feeling of soaking in the tub while looking at the mountains... it was...

Jiang Silu swallowed hard.

She walked to the edge of the tub and dipped her hand in the water. The temperature was perfect.

A small tray with fruit and a bottle of water was set on the tub’s edge.

Jiang Silu took off her clothes and cautiously stepped into the tub.

The water rose to envelop her body, warm and comforting.

She slowly leaned back, resting her head on the edge of the tub and gazing at the mountains outside the window.

Sunlight streamed through the window, creating shimmering patterns on the water’s surface.

Staring at the reflections, she suddenly felt that none of this was real.

Just yesterday, she was in the Northeast watching a concert. Today, she was lying in a bathroom more luxurious than any hotel.

People were calling her "Miss," someone had prepared a princess-themed room for her, and someone had drawn her a bath and was waiting for her.

’Is all of this really not a dream?’

She pinched her arm.

It hurt.

’It’s real.’

Jiang Silu let out a long breath and submerged her entire body, leaving only her head above the water.

The hot water enveloped her, so comfortable she felt like humming.

She thought back to last night.

Watching the concert, meeting Sun Yanzi backstage, sitting in the very center of the front row, and singing along with the entire audience.

Then she had fallen asleep on the way back and been carried into this room.

’Carried in.’

Jiang Silu’s face flushed a little.

She’d lived her whole life without ever being carried by a man.

Lu Fan’s arms were strong, and his steps were steady; she hadn’t been jostled awake at all.

Jiang Silu buried her face in the water and blew a few bubbles. GLUG, GLUG, GLUG.

She soaked for who knows how long, only climbing out when the water started to cool.

She dried herself off and wrapped herself in the nearby bathrobe. It was as soft as a cloud and felt weightless against her skin.

When she left the bathroom, Zhichun and Zhixia were still waiting outside.

Seeing Jiang Silu emerge, Zhichun came forward and said, "Miss, your clothes have been prepared for you."

She pointed to the side of the bed.

A complete outfit, from underwear to outerwear, was laid out there.

Jiang Silu walked over, picked up the sweater, and felt it.

Soft. Incredibly soft. She didn’t know what material it was, but it felt like touching a cloud.

She looked at the pants; they were made of the same soft material.

The tags were all in English, which she couldn’t quite understand, but she recognized the brand.

It was a luxury brand. Liu Shiting had shown her pictures before; a single sweater cost several thousand yuan.

Jiang Silu’s heart skipped a beat.

"This..." She turned her head to look at Zhichun.

Zhichun smiled and said, "The Boss had them prepared. He said they would certainly look good on you, Miss."

For a moment, Jiang Silu didn’t know what to say.

She changed into the clothes. The fit was perfect, as if they were tailor-made.

She stood before the mirror and looked at herself. The girl in the reflection wore a soft sweater and stylish, well-fitting pants. She looked like a completely different person.

She usually wore cheap clothes that cost a few dozen yuan from street stalls. The best clothes she owned were the ones Lu Fan had bought for her last time, but she couldn’t even bear to wear those.

This outfit, just by its touch, was clearly far more expensive.

Zhixia came over, holding a hairdryer. "Miss, let me dry your hair for you."

Jiang Silu wanted to refuse, but seeing that Zhixia had already raised the hairdryer, she could only nod.

Zhixia’s fingers were gentle, the hairdryer hummed, and the warm air was comforting.

Jiang Silu sat at the vanity, staring at her own blurred reflection in the mirror, and once again, it all felt a little unreal.

After drying her hair, Zhixia helped her tie it into a simple ponytail.

Jiang Silu looked at herself in the mirror. Even her skin seemed to have improved.

She stood up, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "Um... where is my father?"

Zhichun replied, "The Boss is on his morning run on the lawn. I will take you to him."

Jiang Silu followed Zhichun out of the room.

The hallway was long, covered with a thick carpet, and paintings hung on the walls.

They went downstairs, crossed the living room, and pushed open a glass door that led out to a vast lawn.

Sunlight spilled onto the lush, green grass.

A few trees were visible in the distance, and beyond them, the mountains.

In the middle of the lawn, a person was jogging.

He wore a tracksuit, his pace steady and rhythmic.

Jiang Silu stood in the doorway, watching him.

As Lu Fan ran, he turned his head, saw her, and waved.

Jiang Silu waved back, the corners of her mouth turning up in an irrepressible smile.

Lu Fan then started walking toward Jiang Silu.

"Come on, I’ll show you around," Lu Fan said, leading Jiang Silu onto the lawn.

Jiang Silu followed behind him, initially thinking they would just take a quick look around. But after walking for ten minutes, they were still on the lawn.
